Great video and info, I love your style! Clear, concise, and well-delivered. I just got a 3S as a secondary headset for friends and family who want to play with me. I setup a “guest” account by just making a new Meta account and everyone uses that.

I setup my child's account on a second quest 3. I have the sharing enabled in both headsets and it still asks to repurchase every app I already own after I review them. Is there a way around having to repurchase everything?
@@msulkey you shouldn’t have to purchase on the child’s account. Is your main account on the second quest3?? (you can’t have sharing on one account on two headsets) Your main account needs to be on the second quest with sharing on. Then when you switch to the child’s account the apps will just be grayed out and ready to be installed. Your quest doesn’t even really need to have sharing on. Just the one your child is using.
@@TheConstruct_VR Ok Gotcha, I setup the second quest 3 (for my kids) under another email of mine and made it my child's account. Maybe this is the issue? I tried linking them together by adding my main parent profile to the second headset and it states it's already on there....
@ right you have to have the one that’s already purchased everything as the main account that shares it’s purchases. The one you created doesn’t have purchases to share.
I'm stumped! My oldest has a 2. We used her account, as the main account, linked to my email. I added two additional profiles in the family center. One for each of her younger sisters. I have been able to successfully share to only one of the additional profiles. When I try on the nameless child's headset, it has her request permission, I accept, but it tells me I have to gift it to her. So she has no games, and has to use her sisters (the main account) in order to play anything. It's driving me insane that I cannot figure this out

If so it should looks like this: Your Oldest (quest 2) (sharing off, and this is the account that has purchased apps) New quest 3S ( needs to have the oldest’s account on this headset and app sharing turned on) 2 additional kids account added to this(3S) headset will share the purchases of the main (your oldest’s account) This is assuming your oldest’s account is the main account that purchases apps. New 3S. I don’t have that many accounts but this is how it works just with my 1 main account and 1 child account.

@@notanotherbrick6114 Hi there! I think this is unique to beat saber. Is it possible you have purchased song packs? They apparently can’t be shared. One to ing I’d try is go to the admin account on your child’s headset and makes sure beatsaber is installed and music packs are installed on the PARENT account. Then when you switch to your kids account see if that works. I’ll try it out myself in a few. Thanks for watching happy to help
@@mrobs711 I remember this from a while back. The songs are tied to an account but the app can be shared .. it’s two different rights functions. Meta is allowing you to share the app to another account but Beat Saber won’t allow song packs to spam multiple accounts. Honestly I think Meta should extend the app sharing function to include DLC.

@@West_Bros_Racing hey there. You set up your Quest with your adult account you likely set up a PIN there’s no way to recover these if you don’t know what it is. Do you know what PIN you set up on your main account?
@TheConstruct_VR Sorry, I think it's asking for the 5 digital setup pin. Like when I paired my account to my headset. It says my headset should show me the 5 digital pin to enter into the app but nothing.

My child got a meta quest 3 for Christmas. I’ve set up my account and was able to set up my child account through the meta app. I can see her profile on the app but I can’t link it to the headset so she can play and we can switch between account. What did I do wrong. I even clicked on the profile to add her by her email address but the link email never comes through. Yes it’s the correct email. Can you help me.
After you read the supervision steps did you see the step to “Add (your child) to which headset” like you see here at 2:20 ? That should add the account to the headset so that you can switch accounts. If you’ve done that already, in headset go to your profile (click your profile photo) and then select Switch Profile. You should be able to see the child account as an option.

But if you missed the part where you add the newly created account to a headset during the steps in the video starting over MIGHT work. Sorry this is such a struggle!

Try to follow the steps in the video steps you can add another parent to the 2nd headset. Make sure all sharing is on there. You have to join as two different accounts for it to work. What game is it?
@@chase86-bjb i actually use this for the kids accounts. . . So we don’t usually play together… But if you want to play together on the same game like multiplayer, you can’t be logged into the same account at the same time, So you need to do a set up like this where once headset is using another horizon username. So what you’re trying to do isn’t possible that’s why it’s saying you have to purchase. You need to turn on app sharing on and then sign in with a different account on one of the headsets. That should work to play games together. You can’t have 2 of the same usernames in an online game playing together

@West_Bros_Racing oh! You can go to Settings > General > About and find that 5 digit pairing code. I’ve been there it failed to show for me before too
