Not only is the LS high spinning, but massive inconsistency of spin in the other models too. In one video (I won’t name the channel) the spin varied a lot - between about 1500 to 3200 rpm. No doubt strike had an effect, but multiple low and high spinners so not one-offs
@@aidangriffiths5075agreed, but your lowest spin head shouldn’t spin more than your Max 10k product. Sorry, but that is egg on their face for not at least trying to show the spin get lower, using all the factors.
@@aidangriffiths5075 anyone with an upward AOA should see lower spin and Ian is a low spin head player, that's what was shocking. It is just the initial swings, I get it.
@@aidangriffiths5075 exactly, Mid and High handicap with certain can and only will get that Low Spin. Have to compression with it. LS has that sweet spot that you have to hit it right. I'm MID Handicap, it goes long if you hit it right.
The used Qi10 drivers and fairway woods that came out last year were inundating the used golf club shops in town starting this past fall and aren’t moving. Lots of golfers bailed on them. Might indicate that the Qi10 really needed a proper fitting to make it work.
Did Ian have the left miss today that at all wasn’t covered….? Or was that more just the aim and line of the track man? 30-70yards left on a lot of shots and no mention.
All of the focus in any INDEPENDENT review of Taylormade drivers should focus on one thing....the clubface. Is it thinner, is it bonded better etc etc...because they're still popping out and cracking, and TM is still only offering a one year warranty.
I think they added some spin back into the Qi 35 LS, last year the Qi10LS was too low spin, why a lot of tour players werent playing it, i knew it once i saw morikawa playing the 35LS at sentry.
Question. How will this technology affect the pairings with shaft options? Is the goal to make shafts just standard and do everything through the heads?
Got my hands on one and these look the best taylormade has produced in dare I say centuries. Plus they feel phenomenal. The carbon face doesn’t feel carbon at all like the previous years. Very firm very fast and veeeery low spinning. At 125chs I was getting 1800 spin with the core model, 1500 with the LS. Unfortunately too low for me for both but the feeling and distance was absurd
My Question after owning a stealth is how many will have to be warrantied due to face issues? The last 3 models all have the same face popping off or cracking.
Going to be a tough go for TM this year as it was last year. I can see in the next 2 years they get out of the carbon face, fire the president of the company and go back to a metal face. Other review videos already showing better numbers in the same price point.
Interesting that Ian went from wanting the LS just by looks alone, and then only being “comfortable” with it at the end. I don’t think they touched on it yet, and maybe it will come out with more use, but you never get everything you want by making the changes you think people need, I wonder if moving CG lower makes drives out of the bottom much more penal with respect to spin.
Andrew is one of the most respected club designers in the industry. I was so excited to have the opportunity to spend time with him down at The Kingdom. If you think listening to him is useless you’re probably in the wrong place, lots of channels out there that will give you less info. That’s not what I want to provide from any videos I’m involved in.
Not useless, but it does require some follow up in the bay IMHO. We have to trust the content creators (in this case Club Champion) to ensure things stay factual / fact based.
Looks great but doesn’t the customer want more carry distance for strokes gained. If a fairway is tight hit 3 wood. An optimised tsr or sim would carry longer and decent players would hit it pretty straight anyway
The Core has the numbers , the LS needed the most adjustments to work , still highest spin/shortest carry .. hmm .. well , we'll see' .. hopefully they sell
If it’s a low spin model, why does the spin kick up so high? I get they want to protect against the 1600 RPM duck hooks… I love my QI10. Even my spinny thin shots don’t get above 3100
I have tried the Taylormade products, just not for me. I recently rented a nice set of TM (full bag) for golf in Palm Desert. Liked the 5 wood but hated the driver. Of course, not fit for me but it's not my first experience with TM.
They literally have run out of ideas… apparently the sliding weight gave more weight and this year theyve removed it. Next year it’ll be back in as the weight will be more accurate. TM have literally only had two inventive drivers in the last 10 years… the SLDR with the weighting and the Stealth with the carbon face. Everything in between has been contradictory from the year before model. Also, we are now 4 models deep with driver carbon faces… Stealth, Stealth 2, Qi10 and now Qi35 and still no Fairway woods with carbon faces
Every review ive seen so far, 4 of them to be exact, has the low spin head spinning the highest.
Happy Qi-35-day to you! 😅
@@initman01 Yep. And in some reviews; they are quick to dismiss this fact and move onto the next driver head 😂

Ls doesn't mean you'll always get low spin from every player. There's a lot of factors involved

Calling a lump of metal an “inertia generator” is some impressive marketing.
This term could be applied to every single thing with mass if moved.

I love the QI10 core. Going be a tall order to beat it
Best looking Taylormade driver in years!
It looks like a Cobra driver.
since 2015 M1/M2

Can we get more videos of Mikey hitting. He’s a better player than me but more comparable to my swing speed etc…👍
Look great, but they will need to pull a SLDR and put out a "Loft Up" campaign. They appear to be sub 2000 spin for most, even in the Max.

The lowered the CG by 0.5 MM... lol. What an innovation.
How long did it take Mikey to paint those shorts on?

It's useless to do these with the manufacturer present

Ian can you test those in the simulator vs Elyte lineup?
Please do a review of the New Level 480 DB and TC irons. Would be appreciated.
Interesting opinion on tour players. They seem to all play spinny cuts most of the time until they want to really let it go and hit a high draw
Every review I’ve seen ls version not any lower spin. Regular version weight up front same spin :)
Didn’t they just release the Q10 last year ?
Does the face fall off of these ones too?
I want to know why the fitting head has six dots on it that do not reflect the correct quad dot locations.
Watch the Rick Sheils video on these drivers. I'm sure he talks about that.
