    There's also been a couple of tremendous studies on the liver-protective effects of yerba mate. Some of it comes down to the caffeine, like coffee, but of interesting note, mate contains WAY more chlorogenic acid than coffee does by volume/weight. So the effects Thomas notes for liver health with chlorogenic acid would be amplified in mate. Mate also contains almost all B-vitamins (minus B12 of course) in a bioavailable form and Thomas has talked about the connection of B-vitamins to liver health a ton on this channel. :)

    • @julescolorado
      @julescolorado 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I thought yerba mate has cancer causing agents. I ran across something that mentioned yerba mate and I had never heard of it before so, of course, I googled it and some articles came up on it.

    • @Drumroll418
      @Drumroll418 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@julescolorado The studies on the connection between yerba mate and cancer of the mouth and throat concluded largely that the mate drinkers were drinking the beverage at extremely hot temperatures which caused "thermal damage" in their mouth and throat which predisposed the damaged tissues to mutations and abnormalities. If that makes sense. Basically, don't drink your mate so hot. Or any beverage for that matter where you could burn your mouth.
      Also, some mate is "smoked." Some mate is "air dried." "Smoked" mate is delicious, but can have a small amount of PAHs, a "possibly" carcinogenic compound found in almost all smoked food products. But it's delicious! :)
      The "air dried" or "unsmoked" or "green" yerba mate should not have this problem. Mostly I buy yerba mate that has not been smoked, and there are lots of brands that are made without the smoking of the leaves now, it's way more common. Every once in a while I'll have a bit of the smoked variety and not worry about it.

      i find drinking coffee and tea make you burn fat easily and effortlessly. like usually it takes you like 1 hr vigorous exercise to feel fat start to burning. drinking tea and coffee u can feel fat start to burning in 15 or 20 minutes. you actually can feel it. Just don't drink too much else you won't be able to sleep well or just drinking in the morning and lunch.

    My guess is that fasting also helps remove fat from a liver, as your body looks for fuel since you are taking in no calories for awhile. As he said Tylenol/acetaminophen are liver killers. Use Advil, Aleve or their generics instead.

    My thoughts on cofee is that its trash i used to get organic fresh ground but causes sugars to go up for some reason And makes it harder for the sugar to go down so eating something with cofee is a no go.i bought myself a bottle of 200mg caffiene pills and never went back

    Problem I have is I like beer. I know it’s a poison. But I heard it is better than tons of soda. But I do drink 1 to 6 a day. Not good I know. I drink coffee, olive oil, and take probiotic pills. But I don’t think there is a canceling out effect.

      You'd be better off getting sardines in water, then buying good high quality cold pressed extra virgin olive oil.

      Look up "juice fast" alot of people with stage 4 of different cancers start juicing fruits and vegetables only and don't eat any solid food and they start to heal. They give up the high fructose corn syrup, grease/oils, all sorts of chemicals, GMOs, etc!!! They'll detox and the body will start to correct itself. People get off blood sugar meds, blood pressure meds, eczema meds, lose weight, their vision gets better, etc!!! Check out "Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead" by Joe Cross...it's a god send!!! No sodas, cigarettes, sugars, oils, junk food/solid foods...etc and maybe it'll work for him!!! I hope so please try and help him!!! 🙏💜🙏💜🙏💜

    Thomas, I must have hit the wrong button. The "Thanks " with amounts of money kept going and I couldn't stop it. I did not mean to send any money but it kept on adding money. So please know I did not send money.

    So, what do you call a Mediterranean diet? They do use a lot of olive oil. So, there should have been no difference.
