Sultan Suleiman knows what's happening in harem while he was sick. At the first time he comes across with Mahidevran, reacts her harshly Sultana Mahidevran can't get past his reaction and lays it on Hurrem. An unexpected person breaks the fight betweem Hurrem and Mahidevran.
Sultan Suleiman personally questions Bali Bey after the he learns the allegation. However, he doesn't make the decision this time. Mustafa faces with a test that may change his whole future. Ibrahim and Mahidevran wants Mustafa to punish this disloyalty as heavily as possible. At last, Mustafa decides that Bali Bey will be executed without hesitation.
Fatma finds out that Efsun is pregnant. She doens't hesitate to tell that to Mahidevran. Sultana Mahidevran has to apply the law. However, Mustafa finds about the situation at last moment. He convinces his mother to be able to save both the unborn baby and Efsun. Meanwhile, Hurrem is determined to break their plans.
At the age of 26, when he ascended to the throne, Sultan Suleiman aimed to build an empire more powerful than Alexander the Great and to render the Ottomans invincible. Throughout his 46-year reign, he became the greatest warrior and ruler of both East and West.
The young Suleiman received news of his succession to the throne during a hunting party in 1520. Unaware that he would be ruling a reign beyond his dreams, he left behind his wife son and took to the road with his close friend and companion Pargali Ibrahim to reach the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul. As they started their journey overland, an Ottoman ship set sail from Crimea in the Black Sea, bringing female slaves as gifts for the Ottoman palace… On this ship was Alexandra La Rossa, the daughter of a Ukrainian Orthodox minister, taken away from her family and sold to the Crimean palace. She had no idea that she would become Hurrem, wife of Sultan Suleiman and mother of princes, ruling the empire with him through bloodshed and intrigue.
As Sultan Suleiman conquered the world, his great passion for Hurrem would clash with his love for and trust in his closest friend and advisor, Grand Vizier Pargali Ibrahim, all set against the backdrop of the tension between Christian Europe and the Ottoman Empire in the 16th century.

The relief and happiness on Hureem's face as she walked the "golden corridor" with her children was so regal. Her expression on her and her children's faces was so beautiful and genuine to see and so was Mustafa's face of relief too ... Suleyman's one lucky man with such a loving and loyal wife and children.

Kinda makes me feel shocked that Mahidevran dare to ask Aybige, why she appears here. She seems to forget that Aybige is relative of Valide Sultan and Suleiman.
Everyone could love at some point but only very few knew how to be loyal... Loyalty is far more importante than love itself!!!

It's annoying how fast everyone returns to their belief that Hürrem is somehow the root of all evil after this, but what can you do. And, while, yes, I know how fast and loose the show likes to play with titles and ranks, I'm fairly sure that Aybige, as both a princess herself and a free woman, should be standing ahead of Mahidevran with Hatice, rather than behind her (let alone behind Gülfem!).
It just blows my mind that no one bows to Hurrem or her kids when they enter the room
@@Sh4d0w5tr1k3 It's a side effect of the show downplaying the significance of the Haseki title as well, to a point, as having Hürrem marry Hafsa while still alive. In real life, the reason for her position being of such significant rank was to establish her as the "senior" woman of the dynasty after the death of Hafsa. It's important to remember, however, that age was considered as important as rank for the Ottomans, so it's not all that odd for Hürrem's children to bow to Hafsa, Hatice, or even, to an extent, Mahidevran as a sign of respect.
Yeah. That said when someone is beinf scapegoated people aren't exactly looking for reasons to side with them.
@@Sh4d0w5tr1k3 everybody was so delusional about their own self importance especially mahidrevan and even gulfem who had forgotten how mahidrevan had treated her when mahi became Suleyman's favorite. How much she had suffered and mow she's mahidrevan's and Mustafa's supporter. Hureem was never rude to her or treated her badly.
@@jennylaw6820 Given the limited depictions of Suleiman's princely harem in the show, there isn't any evidence for Mahidevran having treated Gülfem badly. The only oddity I can point to about her not being on Hürrem's side is that, historically, she was the mentor figure for her that the show turns Nigar into. And, small aside, Mahidevran isn't being "delusional" about her importance. She's a senior harem woman, who is the mother of a şehzade, which is a very real place of importance as, just like Hürrem, she's primed to become the next Valide if called to. The one place where I did side eye her behavior hard in this arc, though, is with Aybige, who she had no right to order around, let alone slap!
Mahidrevan's so delusional and shameless. I am glad valide sultan stood up for Hureem for once and put Mahidrevan in her place.
Amen! Finally. I’ve watched this entire series over and over, and each time Mahidevran gets more pathetic. (Excellent acting though) 🙌🏼

This story about this empire is so really majestic, historical, lively but at the end, you will be sad. In reality, nothing lasts in this world though how much long you have been.

I know a lot of people might like Hurrem more than Mahidevran, but remember, in this scene, Aybige Hatun is a princess of Crimea. This is true, BUT at the time, there were king's and king's appointed by the Sultan.
Aybige can NOT be higher than BLOOD members of the Sultan. She is related to the Valide, NOT the Sulran himself.
As the Sultan and his court hold higher status than their subjects, including appointed rulers, she is below them. 😊
