Music video by the Floacist performing "Say Yes" from the forthcoming album "The Floacist Presents: Floetry Rebirth", coming November 13, 2012. Check it out on iTunes: bit.ly/RcRNUc
Just heard this on NPR America, Cincinnati Ohio. Love it!! So smooth, mellow and laid back. Harmony, lyrics, it all....flows! Never "dumb it down", Listeners need your intelligence. Keep it up and thank you!
I just think that each are strong as individuals...they have both put out good music going their own paths, so, together, they were exponentially better. I miss the dynamic duo that was Floetry, but I am glad that I can still enjoy them as inidividual artists...but I would pay top dollar to see them back together again if it was genuine and they could rekindle their former magic.
I will remember this version because it's THIS version. The fact that Nat has "solo-ed it up" perfectly with the sensual and retro-styled direction and the fullness of the guitars and backing vocalists has totally refreshed the song. Love them both.
This is sensual and raw with a bit of sultry very beautiful i think she remastered it very well without Marsha not saying the original wasn't a master piece cause that was a very beautiful piece with them together but she took this to a more jazz outlines artistically!
Im 19 & my friends Judge mi LOl but i Love classsy Music thts Just mi... it goes w. my personality even my mother dont listen to music like this, plus im a very poetic person.. LOVE LOVE the FLOACIST
Love it! Appreciate the art. She brings out the sensuality of the actual lyrics, which people seem to overlook. Her poetry is downright amazing. I'm glad she's doing her thing.
This is blazin'! The entire CD is hot. I'm a huge Floetry fan. Their individual projects are awesome as well. Natalie and Marsha are very different from one another.
The album is not titled "Floetry Rebirth," it is titled "Floetry Re: Birth." Natalie is not trying to reinvent Floetry with this album. She is honoring and paying homage to Floetry. This album is in response to what she had with Floetry (as is recognizes an anniversary of Floetry). #Details
I don't think she was trying to touch or even outdo the original. I think y'all missed the artistic vision. It's about rebirth, a reflection. Paying homage to the past but engaging in the present. Evolution!
I love you Natalie The Floacist so much.... Please Don't Change Keep Neo-Soul Alive because it RULES..... PS. Marsha the pop star got nothing on you...
This is OK, for me Andre Harris killed it with those minor chords in the original song and once you've gotten the goose bumps from that original it's hard to feel the remake.
I gotta say I been their fan since way years and this girl is making her thing a new version just enjoy and stop hating. I prefered this than Marsha and she look awesome. Im gonna buy that new work!
This is fire! Smooth and sexy. Missed you and glad you are still in the game. We need this vibe, so thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love Natalie, and I think this new version of the song works very well. However, I think she's made it quite apparent that she still isn't over Floetry's separation. Seeing that her new album is titled "Floetry Rebirth," I'm assuming it will consist entirely of Floetry covers. I like this new twist on "Say Yes," so I'll give it a shot.
I love the Floacist but her name says it all. "Flow Assist". She is so much better as part of the TEAM. She made ALL THE SONGS so sexy, but Marsha aka The Songstress made them Flow.
how well said! the Floacist has proven that she's an artist in her own right and doesn't stand in the shadows of Marsha. Even though they are best when they are together ( and when they perform together, i think Marsha steals the show, but couldn't do it without Natalie). This version is just as good, if not, better
Well truthfully, Floetry started with Natalie (The Floacist) way before Marsha entered. It was Natalie and her friends. When Natalie decided to take it further, she got Marsha to join
I love this song, it's just as good as the original. She added a smooth jazzy vibe to it.
LOVE HER SOUND...
I miss them, Floetry! Saw them live once 💜❣️

She's wonderful as Part of Floetry and Solo. Her and Marsha can both hold their own. Both are great artist.
Individually they are just OK collectively they are an unstoppable movement. I would appreciate both of them back together as floetry.

i like the direction. visual and audio....well done!

Some of y'all might be to young to understand the beauty of this song.

I gotta say I been their fan since way years and this girl is making her thing a new version just enjoy and stop hating. I prefered this than Marsha and she look awesome. Im gonna buy that new work!
❤❤❤❤
it's got that late 70's CTI sound, with a bit of George Benson/ Grover Washington
This woman is a Goddess I don't support a lot of shit but I stand behind her art 100%
*fan * always. Please excuse the typos.

YES,NATALIE
Nice remix to an original...
This must be what "Say yes" sounds like after you've done a sheet if acid....smh. Original version all day!!!!
I love the Floacist but her name says it all. "Flow Assist". She is so much better as part of the TEAM.
She made ALL THE SONGS so sexy, but Marsha aka The Songstress made them Flow.
This proves Floetry's sound belonged to The Floacist. Marsha was just a guest...
how well said! the Floacist has proven that she's an artist in her own right and doesn't stand in the shadows of Marsha.
