finally found the fix .. you need to link your epic account to go online .. once online u need to go back to the safe house until the coop message pops up from there you can join your friend
Now it works for me, when you finish the prologue a pop window will appear and you just have to press accept. At first it didn’t appear for me, it just takes time I guess

Depends how you set it to private, public, friends only, see the end of the vidre how to change co-op options. Try to turn on subtitles of your language, if available.

hi, I also had the same problem but to solve it I logged into my steam account at epic and then added my friend by epic and then entered the game on steam by clicking play and going to one of the saves, pressed ESC and log into the epic account (I think it is the F), and by doing this you will be able to crossplay between platforms.

Yes you have to, since you need to connect through epic as friends, you need to create epic account and become friends on epic, than on steam you follow the end part of the video. Otherwise you can't see each other if you wont make friends each other.

If you have epic version, you dont need to connect, only steam users does in order to play with epic users

hi, I also had the same problem but to solve it I logged into my steam account at epic and then added my friend by epic and then entered the game on steam by clicking play and going to one of the saves, pressed ESC and log into the epic account (I think it is the F), and by doing this you will be able to crossplay between platforms.
