I bought one a few moth ago when they were giving away the free kick stand. I love it so far. One thing I did different was move the plates back closer to me for more felt weight. It covers the handle for the kick stand but you can just grab it from the side. I was oginally using a barbell for belt squats and my dip belt was cutting into me. This belt is so much nicer. If you want a belt squat get this one.
That doesn't change the feel, just how much weight you can load if you are using thicker plates. The top mount is kind of limited if you are using bumpers.

Gluck does a great job of responding, but doesn't respond to every comment on every video, especially if the same point has been made on previous comments. At some point, unless you have a VA respond to all comments (which I know he wouldn't do), you have to be more efficient somehow. He gets hundreds of comments and responds to them himself. I'd say cut him a little slack if he doesn't respond to some.
This is the only comment I've ever left and you did not reply to so I think I angered you. As you know, I'm always truthful with my comments and biomechanically I told the truth. Sorry I angered you as that is never my intention. I've run into this before where I left some truthful comments that another reviewer did not appreciate and he stopped replying to my comments where he always replied to every one of my comments up to that point, so maybe truth is not what reviewers are looking for and when you disagree with them they take it personally so maybe best I stop leaving comments. Take Care
Don't take not getting an immediate response so negatively. Sometimes comments stand on their own without a response. Other times, I need time to process and think about what was said, as in this case. I appreciate the interaction and the comments. There never has been and never will be a YT comment that angers me. The only ones I don't respond to are when people are trying to bait me into an argument. Those I ignore with a bit of pity in my heart for whatever state their life is in that all they have to do is start arguments on YT.
An honest fact is Biomechanically, the belt squat might be the most overhyped item on the market due to it's lack of effectiveness. Some of the flaws are You have to start from the bottom, it offers limited ROM, and the line of force is all wrong as you stand beside the load which has a line of force from gravity, going up and down. It will help your quads but in a limited fashion. Squats, Hacks, even leg presses work better buy leg presses are terrible for the lower back. Just honest facts I realize people will believe what they want to and that's fine, I just offer the Truth. Not trying to anger anyone Take Care
No one is saying it's more effective than a traditional back squat. A lot of people just shouldn't be back squatting. I have decided to put myself in that camp now. A combination of belt squat for volume and BSS for strength will be a fantastic replacement for me. I also love the goblet landmine squat as it forces perfect biomechanics during the squat. I personally don't see the need for a leg press or hack squat unless you are body building. For pure strength, the BSS is king in my mind.
I’m glad they finally released the kickstand for it and the side mount elevated weight horns are on the way
It's for sure on my finalist list for my gym rebuild.

Great feedback! It's really nice to get as much feel weight as you can by moving those weights.
Do you feel more of the squat with the top mount or side mount option?

I do belt squat on fly wheel trainer. I looked at the Fringe belt squat but not sure about the leverage arm putting shear force on my knee.
With the longer arm, it felt really comfortable to me. I only loaded 90lbs, though. Not sure how heavier loads would be.
Do you get credit for using that link Tim, I’m very interested in the belt squat lever so want to give you credit brother.
I do! Thank you so much for asking. That's how I attempt to pay my bills.

@@altairtheeagle Thank you!
is there a side loaded option ?
There is one coming….
Soon!
My lower back has been trash for years. Belt squats are the only squats I do.
I'm getting there fast!
My buddy Kyle @kaizendiygym nailed it inventing this! More often than squats, I use it for lower footprint deadlifts and rows
It's on my finalist list for my gym rebuild. I don't have room for a stand alone belt squat and I think I'm done putting a bar on my back.
@@GymCrafter good replacement!
Do you need to wear a weight belt in addition to the squat belt when going heavy?
That's a great question! Of all the people I see use a belt squat to go heavy, I can't think of any that were using a belt.
I'm about honesty so I will tell you that other reviewer was Gluck.
