Thanks to your videos, not only have you taught my grandchildren this hobby, but I cherish the bond that's grown between our Little Rug Rats and us. There is nothing more beautiful than to hear those excited voices on the phone telling us all about their newest find, rather an especially nice coin, or an error, they can't wait to visit their Grandma and Grandpa and show It to us. So Thank you very much.
This will be my first time sending out coins for grading, that was helpful thank you much. I feel super confident if not I'll rewind and listen closely.
thanks so much you saved me a boat load of money. after seeing them prices i now know why people go with anacs thier prices are way cheaper and with promos even cheaper yet. they also do not charge a membership fee. i understand people will say they bring less money and yes that may be true but i would rather loos 10 on a sale in order to save 12 to 15 $ or more on tyhe gradding of that coin.
Hi Daniel. Noah here from Waller, Texas. as a new member for NGC i want to say thank you for this information. i was a bit concerned that i might do something wrong, but your video outlined the process so very clear. It makes sense now on how to submit coins. THANK YOU!! and Great video. I am also a subscriber.
Thanks Chief, this video of yours showed up right When i needed to see it, no bullsmack. The thing about that is, Monday i called "NGC" Well to have my submissions forms mailed to me. I was back and forth about how to submit my coins with NGC, viva on line, are paper forms. However these are my first on my own Submissions. Anyhow" you made the online Submission look really easy and simple. I will try it that way (online) next time. Thanks brother, for sharpening my tacks LOL" God bless, and have a good one. Later bro
Where do you get your proposed valuation from. I've run into an issue with a 1957 Russian 3 kopek. The world coin guide lists very high valuations but looking on ebay, these are not moving for anything near the guide valuations. Thanks for your insights and the channel.
About once a month I go to the bank and get rolls of quarters. Seems like the last few months I have noticed '90s sometimes '80s quarters in fine condition. I don't always keep these, maybe I should? Also $1's,vending machines. I check all throughly. I guess this is a question only an individual can answer. Do you think they should be saved and maybe graded, or just used as change?💰
I submitted a 2019-S Enhanced Reverse Coin to NGC to be graded. I sent it with the unopened Box it came in and the thing I forgot to do under Create a New Invoice was to fail to check the box that says Return Mint Packaging. So, when I finally got my package back from NGC I didn’t get my COA or Case. My mistake. I called NGC and found that others did the same thing as well. She said that there is no guarantee I will get and to check back in three weeks if it has not come in. So take the time to read everything.
Forgot to mention before but you do very informative videos Daniel on Coin Collections an all that relate to it. Now for my Update I had to call NGC twice first time they said that they will contact me. Well, never got an email or call so I called again. This time the person was very helpful and took care of me very professionally. Got my items back the follow week.
Daniel, I don't understand the economics of grading lower value coins. I have many nice proof coins from the 50s and 60s, all graded. Some of these coins i paid maybe 20 bucks for... How could some one sell me that coin plus the grading fee behind it and not lose money? Is there perhaps a mega discount on grading for bulk submissions???
I got a 1964 nickel with no mint mark that has a perfectly centered Dime planchette pressed into the reverse side. The pressure bent the coin into a small bowl shape. What should I be asking for?!
i just purchased a 75th anniversary ase would you recommend getting it graded with pcgs or ngc? I watched both of your videos and they were extremely helpful but I was wondering what would you use yourself from personal experience and which one have you had smoother processes with?
So, I have some coins that according to some research I've done, could be worth a good amount. I think they're in good shape -- however, I'm not into numismatics, so I have no idea what "per coin value" to declare when I send these in. That's why I'll be sending them in to be graded, in the first place! How am I supposed to know what value to put for each coin, when the coin's worth is exactly what I'm trying to find out by having them graded?! Also -- this whole thing seems like a major rip-off. In order to find out how much my coins are worth so that I can possibly sell them, I need to pay what could be a huge chunk of any potential profit, just to find out if the coin even has the potential to bring in any profit at all. The prices are stupid-expensive.
I know the NGC and PCGS service, both are excellent for American currencies. Sometimes grid 1 or 2 points up or down. But I confess that foreign currencies are too flawed for authentication. There is a lack of specialized people in this area. I think they should really only classify American currencies. I've seen every encapsulation of Roman coins that make your hair stand on end, there are pieces that you can't tell if they are fake or real due to so much wear. But they simply encapsulate because it is an advantageous market. I am an ANA Member myself, and really in my opinion I don't find it interesting to have a coin sealed in an acrylic box, and I can't touch it and feel the whole story behind the coin in my hands. Coins have always been collected in this way, but suddenly from 3 decades, these firms started to emerge, in fact vision to really profit. I still consider and use the classic way to collect coins.
I have a 1958 Double Die it’s the one everyone is wishing they had been doing collecting for years and was looking over which coins to be graded. When I said let me look at this coin because I was looking for 1982 D small date when I found it!
I came across a 2009 D Mariana Island Quarter in a bank roll. It is a brand new coin with no scratches. I am about to get it graded by NGC. I don't understand the "value" space on the application. What value do I type in? Thank you.
I have a coin that I believe could very well be either a double strike, or a misstrike, can I submit a photo to someone experienced, before going through all this ?, any response is appreciated.
Hello Daniel I have a question if you don’t mind answering I’d appreciate it ahead of time. The mint error fee.. so if I have a mint error such as a double die or rpm I should pay the 15$ to have it notated on the slab? Is that correct for ngc? Thanks again
Nice , can you send the coins in my plastic holder or do have to use special holders ? and do they send the holder they want you to use ? you said something about your 2 by 2 holder you get ?
You use the small 2x2 flips you can get them most places online. We sell them out of our shop. Anything else and PCGS charges extra. You really need to read their instructions on sending coins in.
Hi Daniel great video as usual. Question: do you have a preferred grading service when making variety attributions? If so, what factors relate to this choice.
I don't have a preference really. It's all going to depend on the variety in how much it's worth and the price the service charges. I would send all high dollar varieties to NGC or PCGS and the rest to ANACS because their grading fees are more economical.
Coin collecting for fun. That's how we start. Sure we want nicer coins, but at what point do we lose the fun? One MS-64 Buffalo or 20 different dates and mintmarks? Keeping it fun keeps the hobby going.
Had a question. I have proof coins sets still in the envelope/some sealed from the Philadelphia mint from 1957-1964. Would it be better leaving them in their sealed package and sending an entire set or cutting the package sending one coin at a time?
I just submitted the Congratulations set and the 2021 Reverse proof eagle set. We'll see what happens. Their prices are high, no doubt about it. But if you get a 69 or 70, it's most likely worth it.
If it's grades AU55 and up maybe but scratches could indicate a cleaned coin. Would need to see images to answer properly coinauctionshelp.com/forum/index.php
Do you recommend cross grading your coins that were done from ANICS? I have the 2011 25th Anniversary silver eagle set from the mint graded at 70 on all of them from ANICS, but the barcode is covered up, which I don't know if that is a big deal or not.
I believe I have a rare 1776-1976 Ike no mint mark silver Dollar. How would I go about determining it's value, so I could submit for grading? Do they do appraisals, or is there any suggestions as to where I can do that?
Witch is the better PCGS or NGC I believe PCGS also owns PSA ? I found out I have no dealer in my town or city for PCGS so I am out, now what do i do ?
How do you do a submission with multiple U.S. coins and multiple world coins all with different special labels all on the same form. I’ve spent 3 hrs messing around with it and assume there isn’t a way and you have to submit them all separate, each with its own invoice because of the separate/different labels of each coin. Unless you mark it as no special label on the invoice and then describe in detail under “special instructions” what label you want with each coin and that you added world coins to the “U.S. coins” invoice under the “Modern” tier. What a headache, any suggestions? Hahaha I’m going to try it because I’m not trying to pay shipping on each submission lol they need to update their submission page!
I was just being impatient last night and they were already closed. Great advice lol I called them and got it all figured out. If you send in more than one coin with different special label on the same invoice, under “special label” you type in “MIXED” then enter the early/first releases designation and label name and number on that specific coin line under verity and attribution. You have to do two separate forms for world and U.S. coins then write the certification number of the other submission form on the other submission and write ship together. Wow that’s a lot lol thanks for your advice! :) love the videos and all the useful and helpful info you put out!
I am not sure if you will see this, but what if I want to send in a 1964 Kennedy Accented Hair. Is that considered a variety? Also do I need to cut the coin out of the cello mint packaging and put it in a flip? Thank you.

Thanks for using an easy and a clear english, sometimes it is complicated to espanish native speakers to understand this kind of videos.
I have a brain injury, so this video will be very helpful.
Great job you made this easy to understand I've felt over whelmed by the submission process.
im come from the philippines i think lot of work thank sir daniel for impo.

Thanks. Glad it helped you!
Man, it's expensive to get coins graded. That's why I generally buy slabbed coins to begin with.
But what about the ones you think could get a good grade when you come across it's nothing like getting a raw coin with a high grade
Thank you Dan. You are a Wealth of Information. Happy Thanksgiving 2024.
Thanks for the information just what I need to send my 2021 Morgan out.

I'm doing mine through NGC. Shipping it tomorrow. Not sure if I should remove it from the plastic holder
Do those things on the phone that scan your coin and tell you the price work?

I have some coins I would like to know how to get them grading
Can you submit coins in Government packaging?
I commented on Australian 10c my Friends ❤
What about the other grading companies that charge less are they’re as good as the ones who charge more?
Price doesn't matter. NGC, PCGS and ANACS is tops and if your coin is in another holder it's not worth as much.
I have a coin that I believe could very well be either a double strike, or a misstrike, can I submit a photo to someone experienced, before going through all this ?, any response is appreciated.

You need to use NGC price guide on that.
What if I have found an error on the 1973 Penny?
Thanks for the video. It answered a lot of i had.. are you going to do ANACS too? Also can you make videos of currency submissions
Thank you. ANACS is too easy but eventually I will be it's all hand written.
CoinHELPu good am sir I like to try send pictures of old pennies to you, I’m a new this buseness
needed more info on what the pricing for mailing options are. would have been nice to know roughly at least.
All of that is on their website and depends on declared value.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge as usual
Thanks for watching and commenting!
do you consider icg a valid coin grading service? I have a $2.50 gold coin I bought at an estate sale thats in an icg slab.
Yes but one point grade too high sometimes
Great video and information for new collectors :-)
Any reason not to use a small priority mail box?
I would ask USPS when you go. Registered is how I do it.
Curious. When in doubt you would try all 3 coin graders? Am I correct?
I don't send to all three

No. You use the mint error tier instead or click the box for that service. Thanks for watching.

I would contact the company.

PCGS commands more of a premium. I don't think PSA is grading paper currently.
Who would you recommend, NGC or Heritage Auction?
Heritage doesn't have a grading service but you can call them and see if they will submit your coins or if they're worth doing.

No such thing as scratch resistant. You might call them and ask about options.
Thank you again for your help.
How much..in one Coin to upgrade Daniel Daniel thanks.
thank you very helpfull
Can I send my 2023 Morgan and Peace dollars in the capsules they came in from the mint?
I recommend calling the grading company for questions like that.
Did you ever do an ANACS submission video
No cause you can just print off the form and it's easy
@@CoinHELPu so that means NGC and PCGS are too complicated...lol
@@papagiorgio5894 a little more but not much. I can do one on online submission ANACS doesn't have that

Thanks. It helps. How many coins can be send to ngc?
As many as you want
How do I assess the value of a coin based on the price I bought? Or roughly what it will cost after grading
You can use our coinhelpu community to ask this and show an image of the coin in question.
Nice master
Excellent- thank you!
What happens if you choose economy and the coins value exceeds max coin value ($300)?
Then they will send you an email and want more payment.
I have a lot of coins multiple years since 1909 and before. I would like 2 sell them fast. Non certify at all. Thanks
Can you do a video on how to submit coins to Anacs?
Thanks xxxx
