Had a gold coin lost by USPS and glad I had it insured. Just be aware that even if you insure it for $300 they will require proof from you that it is worth that much. Sales receipt or invoice or some proof. They will not pay out if they disagree even if you paid insurance for $300 coverage.

@Silver Dragons For insurance-USPS only pays out for the purchase value. If you paid $80 dollars but people are paying $800 for it, you get $80. Registered has a "Chain of Custody". If it's in your (the Postal Employee's) custody then they signed for it.
My issue with the first strike is what’s the point on coins or bullion that sell out day one? They are are all first strikes? Is it just because you have people that collect labels?
@@SilverDragons47 that is silly lol I can get the v75 labels for history. I didn’t choose the option for mine I refuse to pay for a service that is moot point for a sold out coin.
On the Declared Value how does that work ? 🤔 ... Is it the retail value that you determined you would want to sell at or just so to say a particular number you prefer to start at in a event hypothetically speaking to auction off if so
Why submit it for grading? The v75 ASE is already in proof condition. Won't people want it to stay in the plastic circular capsule so it fits in the box?
Just wanted to give you a big thanks for this video, I bought a v75 and used your video to walk me through the grading process . Just got it back last week and is a 70! So excited. Not sure if I should keep it or cash out and buy more silver with the earnings?
I also use PCGS. From what I was told when I started sending expensive coins thru USPS is to only use registered mail even though its expensive. They do not offer insurance on money of any kind and the insurance you pay for will not be payed out unless its registered mail. You gotta read fine print. I guess you could lie about what you sent but I dont risk it. With registered mail every postal person that your package gets handed off to will have to sign for it so there is a trail.
Thanks for the info. My package was badly damaged during shipping and I checked to make sure the coin was okay. I noticed that your video said it was possible to get first strike even if the package was opened and submitted within 30 days. However, the local pcgs authorized dealer said that it wasn't possible since the package was opened. So now I'm waiting on pcgs to contact me to verify, lol.
i guarantee you can send it in and still get first strike... as long as it is “postmarked” within 30 days of the mint release... (maybe if you wait too long you can smudge the postmark 😂) 🔥🐉
Could you add a video showing us exactly how to submit the 2020 End of WWII Silver and Gold to NGC? Not the medals but the American Eagles. I've never done it before and want to make sure I get the bells and whistles like if they have a cool label like the one in this video
In NGC video tutorials theyre showing that gold requires a different service selection than the silvers. Is that the case with PCGS or is the way youve laid it out here the same for any coin?
Can you specify to have the COA encapsulated ONLY if it's signed? The new peace dollars had a very small percentage of the COA's signed, in which case having it encapsulated would make sense, but if it's not signed, it would be money thrown away.
So, two nits I feel the need to pick. First, it's my impression that the USPS doesn't insure coins on Priority, only Registered. Second, if you use card, they store it in their system, they don't post the information on the shipping manifest you showed.
Have you ever submitted a whole set for grading? Like a special mint set or limited edition silver set? anything like that? Just wondering if you send each coin separately...
Wow that is even more expensive than I had seen! Why people pay over 60$ to have regular silver eagles graded makes absolutely no sense to me! The coin has to be worth a fortune for it to be worth paying that much to grade. Here in Canada CCCS is our equivalent to PCGS and NGC and they charge 12 CAN$ to grade a coin. They don't put them in slabs, they use sealed flips. But still, with shipping that is less than half the price. And even so, it's still too expensive for pretty much any bullion of low value coin.
Does the voucher cover the full cost of the submission including all the attributes like first strike and coin labels or does it just pay for the grading service? Also if you want pcgs to send back all the original mint packaging clamshell, capsule, COA etc do you just write that in the comment section, is there a fee for that?
No, it ONLY covers the grading fee. Special label is still $10, First Strike still $18, processing fee per order $10 and then your return shipping fees. Also I posted in another message you can't even use a new member cert for the V75 Gold for example because it is valued at MORE than the regular grading limit and has to go Express.
no the vouchers only cover the “service” but they will work for gold shield so it’s a $40 value if you would normally be sending in a regular service level grading with gold shield 🔥🐉
Any purpose in the gold shied? I had someone send in a coin for me for $60 and then pgcs charged my card $70. So it seems it would have been cheaper should I have sent it in myself. Thanks to you that's what I'll be doing with my 2nd coin. I know the guy who sent it in for me had it with ahold shield as he said it's included in the voucher for free. So I would select for example the Gold membership for $149 and then the 4 vouchers will be available for the very first coin? Or only for the coin proceeding this one? You were super clear. Thanks for explaining this all. As well what's all those extra stuff I saw you had meantioned in the notes of the website for extra stuff? I have the same coin you're talking about the silver V75 which I want graded to flip on eBay or a local buyer. Would want the most value of it. But not buying anything that's not needed for resale. Thanks again for your amazing channel.
QUESTION - My younger sibling opened the brown box it came in but didn't touch the blue case/small box it came in, would I have a problem sending it to them as is still within the 30 days. I did notice my invoice is in the box so wasn't sure if everything it shows on the mint site is inside the blue case/small box since I didn't open it. Thank you for the step by step video def made my first grading experience be pleasant!
so when you actually mail it to them, do you actually mail out the coin inside the presentation box that it came in?? Will they send you back the presentation box with the coin? Or do you just take it out of the box and send the coin? Whats best??
@@SilverDragons47 No additional fees for the return of the other Mint packaging with PCGS? I know NGC says there's a fee. If that's the case maybe I will keep mine sealed and roll the dice on a signed COA in one of my boxes. If they are not signed I won't bother having the COA's slabbed. Two Silver V75's and a Gold V75 heading to them soon!
Hey Silver Dragons 👋🏾 so I have a preorder Silver Eagle type 2 on it’s way, is that a good coin to get graded if I’m just starting out? What about a 2020 libertad? And going forward how can I ensure I’m able to get the FS label? Let me know! Thanks tor the channel!
Shouldn't all the v75 coins be first strike, they all sold out the first day, so thereore there is technically only one strike since no more will be made.
What do you think of the 2020 ASE graded by PGCS first strike emergency from San Fransisco mint? And what label is best? In other words what's the best labels? Do the black labels have any significance?🐉🐉🐉
I just ordered a couple of the 2021 SAE Proofs and I'll probably sell one eventually. I notice there's quite a substantial resale difference between the graded SAE's, but there were over 300K of these produced, so is it a sucker's bet to spend the dough for grading, or is it the good investment? I'm not a member nor a serious collector, but I wanted to grab a couple of these, as it's the last year - and they sold out so fast......
I have some morgan silver dollars coming eventually from the mint. Your saying the cardboard box the mint shipped them in, I shouldn't open it and sent that shopping box directly to pcgs? Did I understand that right?
Wow. I didn’t know about what made something a “First strike.” I missed out on that. I was going to get my 2021 American eagle designer set graded, and it’s way too late for that. How much does it really hinder the value?
Do you need to do it online? I just printed out a submission form and filled it in manually because I could add the V75 label to the costs, but I do not have a flip label.
you can do it the old way with just the paper submission form. on your flip label put the submission number and what line it is on... likely line 1 if it’s your only submission 🔥🐉
Question- I’ve printed off everything to submit but not understating printing a “sticker” with the code on it to put on the slip. I have the blank stickers PCGS sent, do I hand write that info on those and stick it on or cut off the code from regular paper and tape it to the slip,?? Probably a dumb question but.... 🤷🏼♂️
I’m not sure what to do. I opened my V75 silver eagle to look at it, and I saw a tiny smudge from the mint! I’m not sure if I should have it graded (I’ve never done it before), or if I should just keep it. I wasn’t planning on selling it, but I didn’t know about the window for first strike.
I’ve got a 1909 Indianhead five dollar coin. I don’t know if it’s the old one or not. What is the retail value of that? My Grandfather is giving it to me for me and my wife to hopefully have enough to buy a home I’ve seen anywhere ranges vary greatly
I am going to send in my v75 silver. But do i have to take it out of the air tight case and put in the mylar flip ? I'm afraid that it could get scratch in the flip than the case easier and lower my grade on the coin.
I understand your frustration. I did one with quicker deliver by UPS and they still haven’t received them! My regular shipping one with USPS will be delivered today!
Never graded a coin before. If i'm grading the v75 silver and gold, do I make 2 submission as the gold is over $300. Also what service do I out for the gold?
Hello SD! If you send PCGS or NGC a sealed box directly from the US Mint for grading with your personal infor/receipt, booklets, ect. from purschase will they return it with the graded coin. Thanks!! Great video!! 👍
Sorry if you’ve already answered this question, but can I send my coins in with the plastic capsules I put them in or do I have to take them out an put them in something different??
I just got a call from PCGS and they said I had to do a submission for each different label I wanted. I had three different labels for my submission and they said all would be a separate s&H fee. Wow! That sounds like money making scheme. Did you mention that here in your video or is that new? I actually wanted to take advantage of the submission and added a couple of coins which now require extra shipping & handling fees. I'm still very confused by this.
What does it take to get the First day of issue FDOI on such a coin? Or better what's the difference between that and the First strike? Why would you not go for the FS? Or FD? As well what does the voucher cover? And can I send a 2700$ Coin in? Or they won't grade coins over 2500?
Is a voucher only good per coin ? Or can a voucher be used for 1 submission? For example, if I send 10 x 2020 proof eagles in one submission, is this a 1 voucher usage ? I can’t seem to find this info on the pcgs website.
I’ve never sent anything to PCGS but I’m considering it for my WWII 75th silver medal when it gets here. I’m surprised at how much it can cost. I don’t know enough to assess if the added value of grading is worth it for something like this. Do you feel like the overall cost is worth it for the silver medal?
@@SilverDragons47 Gotcha -- so the catch is that if I send them the sealed mint package, I won't know what I have until after I send it in. Seems like it might be a gamble. Grrrr. I wish there was a way to know if it's a signed COA before sending it. But I guess if they'll call... hmm.
I wanted to also know if I send a coin in and I figured a grade and price of the coin and pay for that. But when they are grading the coin to give it a higher grade automatically if it is a higher grade which means the coin is worth more than I put on the form. Will they grade it higher automatically and then when they charge my account will they go ahead and charge the higher fee? Or will they only grade it up to the grade and value I paid for on the form? I have watched a few of these videos and no one has address this question. I want the highest grade and value I can get but will they do that if I did not pay for that on the form
2 questions. What do you actually ship the coins in? Can I ship them in a plastic flip or like one the cardboard stapled 2x2? And if you happen to use cash do you literally just put the cash in with the coins when you send them?
Had a gold coin lost by USPS and glad I had it insured. Just be aware that even if you insure it for $300 they will require proof from you that it is worth that much. Sales receipt or invoice or some proof. They will not pay out if they disagree even if you paid insurance for $300 coverage.

Do I take all V75 ASE Out of their packaging and put them in flips? There seems to be a double standard that is hard to understand
he said you can tape it to the box. 12:35
On the Declared Value how does that work ? 🤔 ... Is it the retail value that you determined you would want to sell at or just so to say a particular number you prefer to start at in a event hypothetically speaking to auction off if so
you need to put at least whatever the price you paid for it is... it’s supposed to be retail though 🔥🐉
Why submit it for grading? The v75 ASE is already in proof condition. Won't people want it to stay in the plastic circular capsule so it fits in the box?
The grading garantees it's genuine, and a PF70 with all the trimmings will garner the highest $ on resale.
no collectors want that slab 😂🔥🐉
Just wanted to give you a big thanks for this video, I bought a v75 and used your video to walk me through the grading process . Just got it back last week and is a 70! So excited. Not sure if I should keep it or cash out and buy more silver with the earnings?
Thanks for the video. Looked this up last month, but there weren’t any quality guides on it.
awesome i’m glad I could help! thanks for watching! 🔥🐉
Very timely. I just received my v75 ASE about an hour ago. Now time to decide to grade or not, before I flip it.
right on and congrats! 🔥🐉
GREAT information. Thanks for sharing. 👍
you are welcome my friend! 🔥🐉
When you send it in do you send in the boxes too? If you do, do they send them back with coin? Thanks for the video!
yeah I got everything back last year 🔥🐉
Thanks for the info.
This video is extremely helpful man.. thank you!
Thanks for this, will be sending my first coins for grading with help from your vid !
you are welcome and good luck! 🔥🐉
@@SilverDragons47 my coin is now in QA status at PCGS and I got PR70DC. Thanks for all your help!!
Could you add a video showing us exactly how to submit the 2020 End of WWII Silver and Gold to NGC? Not the medals but the American Eagles. I've never done it before and want to make sure I get the bells and whistles like if they have a cool label like the one in this video
ngc doesn’t have that label offered... i’m sorry but I don’t use them. I won’t be making a video but silver seeker did a good one last year for ngc 🔥🐉
Thanks brother!! Very informative! I’m still debating on getting my Gold - End of WWII graded or not..
you are welcome! If it were me I would get it graded 🔥🐉
@@SilverDragons47 I got my Gold v75 coming in today. What do you put as the "declared value" on something like that?
@@jcnelson84 probably 3k pcgs said: Please note: The Gold Proof Coin will need at the Express level or higher due to the selling price of the coin.
Hey my End of WWII Silver Medal came signed, how much would it be worth? I'm also getting it graded so hopefully a PF70
Where did you send your signed COA? And are they going to encase it?
@@BlanchardsBees I sent my medal into NGC and made sure to request for my Mint packaging and COA to be returned
Is it possible to physically go to pcgs if you live close to it? Or is it shipping only ?
yes you can go there to drop stuff off or at least before covid you could 🔥🐉
@@SilverDragons47 ok thanks first timer lol
Have you ever submitted a whole set for grading? Like a special mint set or limited edition silver set? anything like that? Just wondering if you send each coin separately...
Thank you for the video I was going to join two of this year and I always wondered exactly how to do fill it out thank you
you are very welcome and good luck! 🔥🐉
Very cool instruction! Never seen that before!
you are very welcome my friend! 🔥🐉
And even so, it's still too expensive for pretty much any bullion of low value coin.
the regular silver eagles get sent in with “bulk orders” and it’s much cheaper 🔥🐉
Exactly! Nobody should get modern eagles graded lol they aren’t worth it
Does the voucher cover the full cost of the submission including all the attributes like first strike and coin labels or does it just pay for the grading service? Also if you want pcgs to send back all the original mint packaging clamshell, capsule, COA etc do you just write that in the comment section, is there a fee for that?
I want to know this too.
So...regarding the original Mint packaging question. Does PCGS send that back to us?
@@TheMadChadder1 yeah I got mine back last year 🔥🐉
Any purpose in the gold shied?
Thank you so much for this! Excellent information and perfect timing. I’m hoping for a Proof 70! Lol.
you are welcome and good luck! 🔥🐉
Thank you
Now, I have a few error coins, where can I send photos to get an estimate to see the value?
Send the whole box that's sent to you. They will send it back but not for free.
I sent in the entire box and they sent me everything back. return shipping is already calculated and paid for 🔥🐉
@@SilverDragons47 No additional fees for the return of the other Mint packaging with PCGS? I know NGC says there's a fee. If that's the case maybe I will keep mine sealed and roll the dice on a signed COA in one of my boxes. If they are not signed I won't bother having the COA's slabbed. Two Silver V75's and a Gold V75 heading to them soon!
@@SilverDragons47 are you sure they will send everything back? Did you get it back yet?
@@snomobila yes I got everything it was last year and they didn’t charge me more 🔥🐉
I would like to know which box not to open. Is it the box that the medal was shipped in or the box the medal is in?
Great info. About to do this for the first time. Still waiting on my silver V75.
awesome and good luck my friend! 🔥🐉
Thanks for the info I appreciate it 🤘
you are welcome my friend! 🔥🐉
Is there a way to re print the submission form documents?
Wow. I didn’t know about what made something a “First strike.” I missed out on that. I was going to get my 2021 American eagle designer set graded, and it’s way too late for that. How much does it really hinder the value?
Registered mail isnt much more than priority with insurance and registered carries a lot of insurance already added in.
@@SilverDragons47 Do I need a flip label? I don't see any templates for it and I'm just sending them the mint box with only 2 coins
@@darianabdullah no just write the submission numbers on the boxes 🔥🐉
@@SilverDragons47 Shoot I already shipped them, hope I'm good lol. The clerk didn't use water while using the brown tape so I'm a bit scared
Is it possible to get the V75 ASE and the Medal Slabbed side by side?
you would need to call them and ask I have no idea 🔥🐉
Do I have to become a member to send it out to them because from the looks of it the voucher dose nothing for cost or dose is cut sum cost ????
Question- I’ve printed off everything to submit but not understating printing a “sticker” with the code on it to put on the slip. I have the blank stickers PCGS sent, do I hand write that info on those and stick it on or cut off the code from regular paper and tape it to the slip,??
Probably a dumb question but.... 🤷🏼♂️
I just wrote the info on the box last year with a sharpie instead of doing the sticker 🔥🐉
I would sell it asap on ebay
I’ve got a 1909 Indianhead five dollar coin. I don’t know if it’s the old one or not. What is the retail value of that? My Grandfather is giving it to me for me and my wife to hopefully have enough to buy a home I’ve seen anywhere ranges vary greatly
I am going to send in my v75 silver. But do i have to take it out of the air tight case and put in the mylar flip ? I'm afraid that it could get scratch in the flip than the case easier and lower my grade on the coin.
Thank you for the information about grading!
you are welcome thanks for watching! 🔥🐉
I still haven't recieved my v75! Sitting there saying label created 🤯
I understand your frustration. I did one with quicker deliver by UPS and they still haven’t received them! My regular shipping one with USPS will be delivered today!

Thanks for the video. Will PCGS (or NGC) grade semi-numismatic silver rounds under their Tokens and Medals catagory?
Never graded a coin before. If i'm grading the v75 silver and gold, do I make 2 submission as the gold is over $300. Also what service do I out for the gold?
The Gold Proof Coin will need at the Express level or higher due to the selling price of the coin.
2 entries yeah
Hello SD! If you send PCGS or NGC a sealed box directly from the US Mint for grading with your personal infor/receipt, booklets, ect. from purschase will they return it with the graded coin. Thanks!! Great video!! 👍
Good afternoon. Could you tell me if I have to send coins together with box and certificate and if i have to pay extra to send those coin boxes?
Where do you get the packaging
Sorry if you’ve already answered this question, but can I send my coins in with the plastic capsules I put them in or do I have to take them out an put them in something different??
I just got a call from PCGS and they said I had to do a submission for each different label I wanted. I had three different labels for my submission and they said all would be a separate s&H fee. Wow! That sounds like money making scheme. Did you mention that here in your video or is that new? I actually wanted to take advantage of the submission and added a couple of coins which now require extra shipping & handling fees. I'm still very confused by this.
Is grading as important in the EU as in the USA? Or for EU not important?
Thx for the video, How to get FDOI label while I received it from the mint weak after??
Do you feel like the overall cost is worth it for the silver medal?
if you get a signed COA or a 70 then yes otherwise you could lose money on it. 🔥🐉
Can I send more then one coin with the silver subscription?
2 questions. What do you actually ship the coins in? Can I ship them in a plastic flip or like one the cardboard stapled 2x2? And if you happen to use cash do you literally just put the cash in with the coins when you send them?
