- With the 2024 Coho run on the Cowlitz River virtually done, I tried to sneak in one more salmon trip of the year. This location on the river is the final destination for many of the Coho Salmon.

On the North Umpqua this year (2024) we only received about 3200 Coho all season. And none were clipped fish.

I hate that place. So many staggers and people standing shoulder to shoulder. Just moved to Washington in June and have not seen a single bank fisherman that doesn’t cheat. Pretty sad. Maybe not if I had your spot out there, getting my crappy boat ready for next year so thanks for all the ideas!

That is a 💯 bull 💩 story. It hasn't been like that for a long time. And if you LEARNED how to fish. Then you wouldn't care what other anglers do!
How do you find out if the island is open? Thanks love your videos
@@brandenk2922 you have to physically go there and see they move the boundary marker signs. It varies every year. You just never know.
There tight lip up at the pond hard fishing right now they are egg biters when they do bite

I have a cure that always works up there. I just hate using pro cure egg cures. I have a batch of eggs that are 4yrs old in the freezer. That just knock the 💩 out of coho up there
That’s why they call it Fishing not Catching. 😂
What kind of waders?
Weird slow year up there. Very few fish comparatively speaking of course. I haven't pulled the trigger on new waders yet. Getting close though. These smell pretty funky...
