That Danish Flake pastry looked absolutely amazing (and sounded amazing, too!) I still love seeing the airport workers all wave at the plane. I noticed two of them bowing, as well. How fun!
The anime "shokugeki no soma" had that steak in it. They said it originated from a customer asking for a very tender steak because, they had a toothache and couldn't chew tough food. The anime is about food, if you haven't seen it, you would probably enjoy it. Thanks for taking us with you on your adventure👍
I enjoyed this video very much. New places to visit, new foods to try! I loved the historic area that you took us to visit. I have seen more of Japan than I probably will ever get to see in real life! Thank you!
Vie de France is a big chain and the quality is pretty good, pretty consistent and reasonably priced. It’s a good option for a light meal when you are travelling on a budget.
I remember a children's book about a peach boy. Now this was 65 years ago since I was I Japan. But he was in a peach seed and that's why he is called a peach boy. To long ago for my memory. Masico read us the story and we would always ask her to read over and over. LOL
All of the food looked fabulous, again. I would have had a hard time waiting for the peach dessert, too. Thanks for taking us on another drool worthy tour.
I like how at 1:54 you even *pretended* to consider something else to eat. I await for the time you taste something so incredible that you just faint. Also commend Japan for having jazz music blasting in all their restaurants. That is always the correct music choice, always. 9:41 So would that make it a Desk-luxe room?
I can enjoy these foods without leaving my own city in Canada. Yonge Street, in Toronto, Canada, now has many Japanese shops and restaurants between Dundas Street and Wellesley Street.
The food tour was awesome. Enjoyed the Bikan Historical Area, especially the mixed berry crumble cake. Would have also enjoyed the cabbage soup you had with your dinner. As for the Danish flake bun, yum! Nice hotel room too. Will catch you in the next one. Be careful, stay safe.
Let's see: Momotaro looks like he's trying to find... was it a bamboo shoot he popped out of? There is a very visible level of pride on display in the presentation of all the food, and the bowing as the vehicles depart. That's awesome. The concept of caramel rice is a little off putting, but if it's not strong caramel? Might be interesting.
I believe it’s actually fried in a caramelized butter. So it adds a bit of nuttiness and a bit of sweetness, but not sweet like caramel made from sugar. When I went to culinary school and started my externship I worked for the best Sushi ya… we also served a variety of bento meal sets and one of them was the shoyu ebi rice. We caramelized our butter in the wok - to a golden color and then added the soy sauce and sesame oil…that is why it has such a dark color.
Momo is peach 🍑, so momotaro is taro the peach boy who grow up to be a heroic and handsome figure. The moon princess came from the bamboo. BTW Kurashiki is world famous for its natural indigo dyed denims, if you can believe a $2k pair of jeans 👖
Yes, real nice..!! This is a food tour show that is fun to watch for a long time because apart from the quality of the video images being sharp and clean. The venue selections and the food dishes are also look tempting, except pork dish. True satisfied job..!!
Thank you for this video. The crunch of the Danish Flake (while tender on the inside) made it seem tempting. I'm constantly looking things up on Google. It's nice to know that I'm not the only one. Domikatsu looked good. It's definitely a full meal. The cake and coffee looked tasty. it would be perfect to casually meet up with someone.
In no particular order - the chicken looked to be cooked perfectly, not undone, not overcooked and tough. I've made breads like that danish flake - the last part is labor-intensive, because the baker must cut the loaf into very thin slices and insert butter between each - but oh, the effort is so worth it! That was definitely a hot dog you had for breakfast (I love the combinations of food in a Japanese breakfast). The Edo village was beautiful and romantic. I think I would have purchased a coffee at the cafe and sat outside in the village all day to absorb the atmosphere. I envy the food choices you have in your train stations. Our motels/hotels are priced much higher, and unless we pay several hundred dollars for a room are tired looking and not particularly clean. Warning: those in US stations (and airports) are horrible and overpriced. Finally, how cool that the airport workers waved at your plane as it was traveling down the runway.
7:16 That looks exactly like the berry cake I make at home from bilberries and strawberries, delicious. The hotel room lay-out is strange, I would have thought that the desk would be in front of the window and the bed in the middle. All those foods looked amazing.
What a wonderful video! You manage to fit so much into a short period and the food looked (and obviously tasted "!!") appetising and amazing. Okayama also famous for 'Bizen-to' especially during Sengoku Jidai.
What a coincidence, I just came back from Kurashiki yesterday! Though not for tourism, but business meetings… so I did not have a chance to enjoy those local specialties. The station restaurant looks good, will give it a try next time I visit
American here; would it be considered poor manners to put some rice onto that saucy chicken plate, and soak it up? I've noticed it's usually the other way around in your videos. Thank you for your amazing tours!
No. It’s made from veal. It’s very savory and tasty. Some ppl also like it on their Omurice with the ketchup mixed into only the rice underneath the omelet. ✌🏻😊
awesome food . Thanks for taking us along. I need a nap now. I am full. God Bless Solo.

Bruh moment, as if nobody have seen the hit 2020 anime
One of the few anime series I actually enjoy watching--so totally over the top! It's hilarious while also being instructive. 🙂
Great show 🤘🤩🤘
I love how the employees are waving at the end as you take off so nice :)
These made my mouth water!!! The large sausage looked similar to bratwurst or the all-American hot dog. Thanks for taking us along!!
Missed your videos. Glad you are back.

Food looks good! And wow, that's a LARGE desk. Good place to stay at if you have to work.
What a lovely video, A-Z, wonderful, thank you 🙏 ❤ 🇯🇵
All of the food looked fabulous, again. I would have had a hard time waiting for the peach dessert, too. Thanks for taking us on another drool worthy tour.
Thanks for always watching! Peach dessert became more like a rice cake peach sherbet :)
I had fun watching the video. Tyvm!
Japanese food is so beautiful.

I enjoy all the "!!" Keep up the vids!
Solo: "I'm hungry."
Me: **pretends to be shocked**
All this food looks amazing! I really need to visit Japan just for the fantastic food!
i think it is chaliapin steak. you marinate steak with sauteed onion to make it really tender. i tried it once and it did! tender and easy to eat.
Looking at that food made me hungry again, and I just ate! Everything looked wonderful and delicious! Thank you!
This time I didn't eat before watching this video, and now I'm hungry and craving bread
Thanks for sharing another great video. The food looks delicious too.👍👍👍🥰🥰🥰

Woohoo. I love these videos
Solo-san, I am so curious to know...Do you also have a "day job" or is TH-cam your full time job? (Another great video by the way!)
Food glorious food! ❤️ . Thankyou Solo Travel San.
🥰I love Japanese food!😍
What a wonderfully delicious food tour! Thank you for eating and sharing it with us, once again.
All looks so yummy
American here; would it be considered poor manners to put some rice onto that saucy chicken plate, and soak it up? I've noticed it's usually the other way around in your videos.
Thank you for your amazing tours!
As long as you don’t mix everything up, it should be fine. Thanks!
i stand with momotaros the one true peach king shout out to the don clan from avatro sentai don brothers
Extra rice? No waaaayyy!!! Lol!!!
Japanese food is so Good 😊
what kind of camera do you use? A cell phone or something else?
Want to ask if you might know of a recipe for the shariapin sauce. Not finding anything when I google it here in the USA.
Try Googling Chaliapin. Same sauce, different spelling for some reason 🤷♀️😊
Xoxo love it
Is it ok to add the spicy miso paste to the miso soup?
It’s ok, but I don’t know anyone that put it into the miso soup.
Shariapin Sauce is an onion reduction sauce.
Not the new video notification to receive when you've just been sent to run thru the Taco Bell drive thru...
Everything looked delicious except for the peach daifuku which you ate too soon against orders!
I’ve never seen you do a video with so much “!!” 😆
Is that Panko bread crumbs on the cutlet?
@ObsoleteVodkaYT i believe Solo Travel Japan is capable of speaking for themselves and DON'T need sme one doing it for thwm..
Can someone tell me the Japanese name of the seaweed appetizer in 4:09. I have had it several times but only as part of the teishoku
Hijiki.
Is demi glace like a sweet gravy?
No. It’s made from veal. It’s very savory and tasty. Some ppl also like it on their Omurice with the ketchup mixed into only the rice underneath the omelet. ✌🏻😊

Hello Friends
My stomach is making weird noises. I don't know whyyyyyy
The first restaurant display outside is very impressive - how do they stop the food from falling off the plates when they’re hanging at 90 degrees?
Those are plastic food models, representing the dishes served at the restaurant.
Food looks delicious but unhealthy. Occasional treat, ok. Everyday, not so good. Please watch diet sir. Thank you.
Don't you know Chaliapin? Bloody hell
You eat far too much rice, I challenge you NOT to eat rice with ANY meal or snack for 2 weeks, can you do it? 😋😋
