Had the chance to sample this at the airport, the EDP is still where it’s at. The EDP is the quintessential office, mature, signature scent. The new one, even through not bad by any means does not easily compete with other alternatives at that price range.
I tried the GV Parfum at the airport this week in comparison to the EdP which I had previously tried. Long story short, I bought the EdP, all around I preferred its opening, it's dry down and it's price!
I love my EDT far more than the EDP which I also own. The EDT is fresher and brighter. Great scent. I will definitely try the parfum version for comparison. I don’t understand why they ever stopped producing the EDT.
I bought grey vetiver EDP in 2011, in that time my collection was 5-10, when I smell it I was like this is amazing , have to have it, but found out that the longevity is very short. I am a great fan of vetiver fragrances and for that price might be better options regarding the same kind of quality/longevity. I am over 100 now and most likely going to get it thank you for the input

Thx for the review. Just a comment on the audio.. listening on the phone’s speaker and the bgm seems a bit trebly and is interfering with the dialogue audio.. i think your voice needs to be a few octave lower to cut through the high-ish frequencies in the track.. maybe either half the bgm volume or use a bgm opposite to your voice ie, if u have an aria voice = go for bass, if u have a bassy voice = go dolphins~ lol
Love your reviews. Too bad we can't smell trhough TH-cam. I use Grey vetyver since 2009, got both versions. I Like the second one more, my current bottle is halved, Can't wait to sample this new iteration.
I wanted the edt. But I couldn't find a bottle because of discontinuation. The EDP is great and still has this sparkle and elegant freshness with good longevity. Of course I will test the parfum but from what I hear I will miss the almost legendary grey dry freshness. Great review as always!👌 Greetings from Holland.🌷

I just got Polo Red Extreme and Overture on an email he sent out a few days ago. Those have been elusive on discounters. And I don’t pay retail unless i absolutely have to. I’ll probably pay retail to get the new Acqua di Gio parfum, just because the original was my signature in the late 90’s.
Even though not much different from the Edp, those little differences make it even better than the Edp. I love this one. Still I can't justify this high price if I'm honest.
Thanks. I’ve been debating if I want to wait for this or get Armouroud Lunar Vetiver. I can get Lunar for about $100 so think I will order that now and wait for TF parfum to get a little cheaper.

Spot on regarding the EDT version. Not offensive and overly spicy like EDP. EDT is more smooth and fresh. But getting ultra hard to find now days.

Just ran out of the old Grey Vetiver edp and was looking to rebuy but now I have to see if the parfum is better

Less citrus? Citrus is the whole appeal of Grey Vetiver EDP for me. It's sharp but not harsh. Clean without being sterile. Saffron? Nah, I'm good.
