I have exactly the same bottle of Sables that you have, in fact I bought it after watching a video were you mentioned it Max, so I owe this one thanks to you. Haven't tried Spice and Wood, Bond No. 9, Lidge, Chambre Noir and Dzonkha, It's almost impossible to try everything. Great list, thank you Max!!!

this should have been titled Forgotten Gems, I have a lot of these in my collection, do to you and the other OG reviewers, and the way those fragrances smell are night and day compared to alot of fragrances being pumped out today.

Never had much of a stint in designer since my hobby stemmed from finding Demi's videos. Started out with Layton. Not because it was special, but because I liked it the most out of the Marly discovery box as a noobie nose. I came in with $, so I had Naxos & Alex2 within a couple months. Alex2 is my business/formal signature nowadays. Started tacking on darker stuff like OFG, Herod, Blessed Baraka; then blindbought a bottle of Aventus and the batch on that blows (for anybody in the market, avoid 21Z01). Once I hit double figures, started looking around in more niche-smelling niche and got Gris Charnel & Ouverture. Then I remember starting to dabble with more expensive stuff. Got a bottle of Sultan, crazy scent. Got a bottle of Nefs, absurd. Now I try to buy stuff I think fits the collection, or brings something unique. I mainly try to focus towards newer releases in an attempt to get unique-smelling scents, but 2023 has been a poor time for that - a lot of cash grab flankers (Nishane, Masque Milano), designer copycats (BDK, Ex Nihilo), poor performers (Micallef, MFK, Thameen), overpriced product (Hacivat Oud, MM Ruby), even outright synthetic sludge (Kilian's Blue Moon). But I still stumble upon unique scents all the time even if they're not new. E.g. found MM "Russian Tea" this year, found THOO "Crop 2016", found Xerjoff's Coffee Break collection etc.
how do you know if you are within the 2k sample boxes cuota? because if there are only 2k boxes and those are available for in person and online I bet they are out already.
I would say Enclave. Having tried all 3 Jubilation man is kind of weird smelling with that black currant, Reflection man is good but I think can be headache inducing with the rose. All the comments will probably say Jubilation Man, which is what made me try it but I like enclave way more. I’m sure you can find samples of all 3 though so no need to blind buy
The word 'niche' already has definitions, including one as it applies to businesses. It simply means 'specialty' or specialization. If a company primarily makes fragrances, that's their niche. A mining company primarily producing coal, that's their niche and a platinum producer has Pt as their niche, even though the ore comes with traces of other precious metals, the primary one remains Pt. So it really has nothing to do with how expensive the ingredients are or how different/challenging it is or how pricey it is. Every time people talk about Guerlain, they feel a need to explain why they think it's niche or designer but Guerlain is a niche fragrance house, primarily making fragrances for generations, genuinely so(unlike Creed), as opposed to Marc Antoine Barrois, who is a designer!

Not because it was special, but because I liked it the most out of the Marly discovery box as a noobie nose. I came in with $, so I had Naxos & Alex2 within a couple months. Alex2 is my business/formal signature nowadays. Started tacking on darker stuff like OFG, Herod, Blessed Baraka; then blindbought a bottle of Aventus and the batch on that blows (for anybody in the market, avoid 21Z01). Once I hit double figures, started looking around in more niche-smelling niche and got Gris Charnel & Ouverture. Then I remember starting to dabble with more expensive stuff. Got a bottle of Sultan, crazy scent. Got a bottle of Nefs, absurd.
Now I try to buy stuff I think fits the collection, or brings something unique. I mainly try to focus towards newer releases in an attempt to get unique-smelling scents, but 2023 has been a poor time for that - a lot of cash grab flankers (Nishane, Masque Milano), designer copycats (BDK, Ex Nihilo), poor performers (Micallef, MFK, Thameen), overpriced product (Hacivat Oud, MM Ruby), even outright synthetic sludge (Kilian's Blue Moon). But I still stumble upon unique scents all the time even if they're not new. E.g. found MM "Russian Tea" this year, found THOO "Crop 2016", found Xerjoff's Coffee Break collection etc.
Nice to hear someone else has discovered Crop 2016 as well! Thought I was the only one.....
I personally love Creed Spice and Wood.
Wish if Creed can make this awesome perfume a little bit stronger …
I agree with you 100% - since they're into flankers now they could very well release a Spice & Wood Intense!

IMO, best summer Xerjoff fragrance is Nio. IMO, it's in another league over Xerjoff's Kobe, Uden and Fiero.

IMO, Jubilation XXV is Amouage's best. It's hard to express how much I love that fragrance.
I would say Enclave. Having tried all 3 Jubilation man is kind of weird smelling with that black currant, Reflection man is good but I think can be headache inducing with the rose. All the comments will probably say Jubilation Man, which is what made me try it but I like enclave way more. I’m sure you can find samples of all 3 though so no need to blind buy
Reflection man is very nice, but Jubilation XXV is a masterpiece.

The word 'niche' already has definitions, including one as it applies to businesses. It simply means 'specialty' or specialization. If a company primarily makes fragrances, that's their niche. A mining company primarily producing coal, that's their niche and a platinum producer has Pt as their niche, even though the ore comes with traces of other precious metals, the primary one remains Pt. So it really has nothing to do with how expensive the ingredients are or how different/challenging it is or how pricey it is. Every time people talk about Guerlain, they feel a need to explain why they think it's niche or designer but Guerlain is a niche fragrance house, primarily making fragrances for generations, genuinely so(unlike Creed), as opposed to Marc Antoine Barrois, who is a designer!

Don’t pull the sleeves up `that high’, totally goes against the clean cut look you were going for.
Spice and wood is great scent profile but price is disgusting.....performace dont help as well
