My grandfather was in WW2 he wasn't a smoker but he started because if you were a smoker you would get to take a break when the officer said smoke em if you got em, otherwise you didn't get a break.

I think that for an overwhelming majority of the time, it's correct to buy the 1 dollar credit card if you have space for it, because it also sells for 1 dollar, but it also has additional upside.
Selling the suit tarot cards instead of using them on the same suit for more mult is tough
when you already have +35 mult or whatever, the marginal value of +1 more mult is pretty low. getting a dollar (as long as you stay below $5 for vagabond) is probably more useful.

I finally decided to check out the Balatro demo over the weekend. I now understand why this man defaults to flush builds. All of my builds just devolve into flush builds...

Why would you not buy credit card if you have vagabond? If you have negative money, you have less than $4, and you have more hands you can use vagabond for.
Would you be able to raise the audio levels by about 20%? Overall video volume, not just your voice or the game.

Vagabond + Credit card is so damn fun
i managed to clone a polychrome hologram and get a blueprint joker and juiced them to give 5x mult.
3 jokers gave 5(1.5x5)² = 281 base mult multiplier. Got a 1.5 million chip hand

Yesterday I saw a guy make 500000 points with one two pair hand. NL has no idea what you can do in this game.
"Is Vagabond the strongest Joker?" No. It's good but any of the x mult Jokers are much better. Vagabond is only great with the other Tarot Joker.
I recently had the honor of recieving double polychrome vagabonds, so I had double mult AND endless tarot cards. It was truly wild.
I don't understand vagabond and not credit card.
I know he doesn't read these, but it still needs to be said: The Vagabond Joker is a perfect combo with the Credit Card as you can keep yourself in debt such that every hand you play will give a Tarot. If you can get that with the Tarot Joker (x1 Mult for each Tarot played) you're absolutely pogging, and if you have space for the gift card you can use it to sell your way out of debt when you want to pivot away from the Vagabond/Debt strats.
I been playing this for quite a while and I think they need to balance the joker that gives +1 mult for each hand played. It’s always just a win on the demo.

I hope in the full version the hologram joker is retroactive, it would make sense since the one that scales with tarot is retroactive as well.
Hologram being retroactive would be too strong, tarot one is base multiplier whereas hologram is a 0.25x, it gets way more out of hand
@@nathandoyle322 Blind skipping is retroactive. I think the prob with hologram is that it can go crazy with Spectral cards, doesn't take insane RNG to get a x3-x5 hologram.
@@GEM4sta take into account when they added blind skipping retroactively they changed the mult from 0.5x to 0.25x
@@nathandoyle322everything should be retroactive, if Hologram is too strong then the number should just be balanced down accordingly.
@@esmeecampbell7396 yeah, like +0.10 and then if one is focused at adding the cards it is still easy to rank it all the way to x3 or x4. So you are happy to get it in the beginning cause you can focus on it, and later if you were adding cards cause there would be already some mult increase retroactive. But I'll be happy with whatever is in full game.

Less then an hour until release! So hyped.
this video literally took me 6 sittings over 4 hours to watch due to causing fits of rage which where I basically foam at the mouth.

I agree with you, I realized pretty early on in my 124 hours of this game that it's not all about the money. For one thing you can easily get 100 dollars out of thin air if you play wisely. If you spend a little bit extra into your build then your build is going to be that much better.
124 hours almost spooked me but I've probably spent 20 hours watching other people play it so who am I to judge
