Madness couldn't destory anything but it still grows in mult every time and dagger is sacking a joker and growing base mult all the time. It was glorious! Eternal means it can't be sold or destroyed. It comes with the higher stakes. Its supposed to make it harder, but it makes some jokers so much better

Eternal jokers should be rarely available in all difficulties, or obtained as effect through a spectral card. Also, all special editions should be more likely to appear, especially negatives. And shop should be bigger by default, so you can choose between jokers instead of being forced into one, if there's any at all, because rerolls are so expensive early on. It's just boring otherwise. Having to play so many mediocre games before the stars align and you get something special going.
NL is the best salesman of games ever, he has made me rage buy so many games. I watch him for a couple months until the type A is too strong then I need some time to recover and then he comes in with another new game to crit my wallet.

With the jokers you started with the second run, a third card makes them better. 6*4 vs 9*3. And if you get practically anything with more mult, you're better off going to 4 jokers because thats still back to 24 plus whatever else.

Like others said, if you want to stick with it, you have to rely on getting negatives, which just isn't reliable. It's great early game, but its usefulness decreases almost exponentially as the game goes on. I think you just have to be aware that you should drop it earlier than you think, or else you'll find the blinds too big with not enough money or shops left to rebuild after you sell it.

I found success with it by keeping one empty joker slot. X2 is amazing with other jokers creating mult.
