Even though this kit was a product test platform, I like how it turned out. Not mentioned are the figures and tarmac? They make it a nice display. Bill
Comparing this one to your Eurofighter or F/A 18 it is a huge step in quality! Well done! You said you were using the "Revell Weathering Set". Have you used it dry or wet? If wet: what have you used? Isoprop, Water or Aqua Mix? When it dries is it possible to put a matt cote with a brush on it or do you have to use an Airbrush? (Just asking because i started building a week ago. Last time i did such things was in my childhood many years ago) :-)
Thanks for your feedback! I mostly use the powders dry. If I use them as a wash, I just use tap water. I would be careful with brushing, you might remove the dry pigments. Hope this helps!
I was the same as you my first airbrush was a cheap Chinese airbrush and then upgraded to ultra was a game changer for me I now use the infinity a bit expensive but it’s a amazing airbrush
Nice! I just ordered it, i finished my Revell 1/72 Spitfire today and learned alot. How did you make and glue the "rope" on the back? Those ropes aren't included in the kit but i would like to make it since i feel it's missing now. Edit: did you stiffen the nylon wire with glue or something like that to make it easier to apply?
Today i am starting my new hobby(at 34!) With this model. I just washed the parts in a soap and letting it drie. I cant wait to start.
Enjoy! It's never too late to start this hobby.
Beautiful model,... excellent result!! :)
Thank you so much Rob :)

Thanks! The display base is from coastal kits, the figures are a Russian ground crew from Zvezda

Even though I hate cleaning the airbrush all the time, I would never go back to brush painting. I might get a better compressor though 🤔
★ Starfish ★ agreed you can get much better results with a airbrush

Thanks, I guess (I can't read this).

Yes, I used a nylon thread that I painted black for the antenna and just fixed it with super glue! I heard some people use guitar strings!
@@Starfishscalemodeling thanks! I will try using a piece of nylon tomorrow, i hope it works
@@fweenoe9501 Good luck mate!
