Dune 2, Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, and then this. Let’s goooo!!!! We’re also getting Alien: Romulus this August. I cannot wait to check Furiosa out tomorrow.
Seeing this one again tomorrow just to fully process it because this thing is HUGE. One of my favourite action films of the decade so far for sure. What a film. What a lovely film.
Loved Fury Road and loved Furiosa, saw it last night on IMAX. Could notice the extra use of CGI in this one and sometimes subpar, but overall insane and entertaining and way more good story than expected, actors all nailed it. Definitely watch on a big screen!
We loved it. The funniest part was the henchman who acted out everything Chris Hemsworth's character said. Me and my wife went home and started doing the same and couldn't stop laughing.
I think Furiosa is better than Fury Road 🙌. I was emotionally invested more and I loved that the pacing was a lot like Road Warrior. It had more depth IMO
Absolutely. And now I actually think the two compliment one another wonderfully. While, at the same time, not being too redundant, which is what I was worried about when the trailers came out. Miller definitely didn’t rest on his laurels. What an accomplishment.
I agree , i enjoyed this more then Fury Road. I had a great time , the action is full of energy and i had no problem with the CG despite i thought i was going to.
I had an absolute blast with Furiosa, some of the green screen and CGI wasn’t perfect but I didn’t mind it that much, and the practical sets and vehicles and awesome costumes mixed with the cinematography and colors etc. made it feel very old school in the best was possible. I also loved how it expanded and further explored the societies of the Wasteland and really worked with this world. Alyla and ATJ were both great and Hemsworth is super entertaining and commanding at the same time - I didn’t know he had this in him! A fun genre cartoonish performance. Super fun movie, I can’t wait to do a Furiosa/Fury Road double feature one day, because this is a terrific prequel.
Just got out of the theater from seeing it. Absolutely loved it. Definitely my number 2 of the year (behind Dune), and will for sure end up in my top 10 once the year is over.
I don't expect it to be better than Fury Road, or Dune pt.2, and that's OKAY. If it get even sniffs the same ballpark as those 2 films, that'll be a massive win. Going on Monday 🤞🤞
Loved Fury Road, as for Furiosa, despite that it's not as good as Fury Road (I think George Miller himself knew that too), I still enjoyed the hell outta this movie and I'd love to see it again. What a lovely movie, WHAT A LOVELY MOVIE!!!!!
Completely agree with you on things looking a little too clean. I think the grittiness of "Fury Road" really added to how real it looked and felt, and this one feels a bit too polished. But still a great addition to the franchise! Are you talking about the... hmm... epilogue section at the end? That was a bad call, IMO, didn't do the movie any favors.
I really enjoyed Furiosa. It’s a nice expansion and it is quite the saga. But I missed the urgency of Fury Road. I did love that it was different though. :)
Yeah I thought we was getting a massive battle at the end when that history narrator guy is talking about a wasteland war and then we only get glimpses. It was done well tho and we could potentially see that in the future
You know Austin for a 2024 that I would say is one of the lesser years for films in recent memory in terms of their abundance I still feel happy that we are getting some great stuff and I can happily add Furiosa to that list because this was awesome!
My current Top Ten Films of 2024 (subject to change): 👑 #1. Dune: Part Two #2. Hit Man (Richard Linklater) #3. Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga #4. Love Lies Bleeding #5. Challengers #6. Late Night with the Devil #7. Abigail #8. Civil War
Furiosa, trust me, with a cinema sound system, this movie was shaking the chairs in our screening, it was great! It's a movie to be seen on the big screen.
This movie rocked in gorgeous Imax!! I hope George Miller closes this new trilogy with Mel Gibson reprising his role and creating the craziest, zaniest Mad Max film - much like Hugh Jack man did with Wolverine in Logan. Old Man Max.
Does Isl has a path for his devotees towards enlightenment? I should think soDt Wait from RDt Pillqi on a video on this we here he can explain clearly because he is a fully enlightened being. As you know during the 12th and 13th centuries the Caliphs in the Arabic Woorld held immense power in the material in realm. But IIslam is also very strong spiritually Dr Pillai has taught us how the Prophet Mpohamed receive his tenets from Allah through a Light in the cave There was a moment i the cave when the Prophet ask the Light who he was. The Light says Ahir Ashad Ahir meaning I am what I am now and forever. Wait for the video taughtanyr by a Difi on how Muslimd can use their techniques within their religion to get enlightened
I loved Furiosa. Thought it was better than Fury Road. Very saddened at the way it's bombing. It's a damn shame. People rather consume trash like Avatar, Fast & The Furious, and MCU instead of something like this. Fuck everyone.

When you recommend mad Max fury Road? (I have never seen anything except the 1985 -MM-original)
Dune 2, Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, and then this. Let’s goooo!!!! We’re also getting Alien: Romulus this August. I cannot wait to check Furiosa out tomorrow.
We have been getting banger action movies this year ever since March started and I’m so happy for it!

Better than fury road ?
@@AverageJoe483 Wouldn’t say that - but I currently have them rated the same score
George Miller's Furiosa is just as epic as Fury Road...it did not disappoint. Phenomenal!
Loved Fury Road and loved Furiosa, saw it last night on IMAX. Could notice the extra use of CGI in this one and sometimes subpar, but overall insane and entertaining and way more good story than expected, actors all nailed it. Definitely watch on a big screen!
For sure!!
We loved it. The funniest part was the henchman who acted out everything Chris Hemsworth's character said. Me and my wife went home and started doing the same and couldn't stop laughing.
Bro the thumbnail is amazing. “Epic! Wow!” While Austin looks like he’s trying to eat my childhood memories with his eyes. Mastapiece
LOL

Wasn't a huge fan of Fury Road so I am glad to say this is probably the best action movie I've ever watched in theaters
Heck yeah
Unexpected take
How cant you be a fan of fury road but this
🧢
You will appreciate Fury Road a lot more now that you've watched this.

You’re in for a treat, expect quite a few open-jawed moments and satisfaction

I’m think we are in a action movie renaissance, with all the great action films that have been coming out this year.
Great review Austin I just seen this movie today with my brother and it was great and it is a fun movie and Chris did a great job in it

the visuals are just so crispy and beautiful in this. it needed more action sequences though, especially in the first hour.
Yeah I thought we was getting a massive battle at the end when that history narrator guy is talking about a wasteland war and then we only get glimpses. It was done well tho and we could potentially see that in the future
Awesome review Austin! Can you do a Mad Max ranking soon?
I like the reaction as soon as you got out! More of that! Also I like half non spoiler and spoiler discussions on the podcast. Keep that up!
You know Austin for a 2024 that I would say is one of the lesser years for films in recent memory in terms of their abundance I still feel happy that we are getting some great stuff and I can happily add Furiosa to that list because this was awesome!
It’s so good!
My favourite Chris Hemsworth movie is RUSH directed by Ron Howard

#2. Hit Man (Richard Linklater)
#3. Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga
#4. Love Lies Bleeding
#5. Challengers

#7. Abigail
#8. Civil War
Just saw Furiosa. It's as good as you said.
I was so pleased with it as it's a deeper more emotional story than Fury Road.
Hey Austin, what’s your pick for a good movie by a bad director?

Me and one other person were the only people that clapped when it ended. That was pretty disappointing
Boooo!!! People suck
It's not that good honestly
Anya Taylor-Joy child characters always kill it! First Queens Gambit and now Furiosa! No one is talking about this!
Love the review. That gambling ad you agreed to do is disappointing tho.
Can we now say Hemsworth is the best Chris?
It’s possible 👀
@@AustinBurkeNo offense to other Chrises, I like them all, but Hemsworth got da sauce!
Another good..movie filmed in Australia , i ❤ Elvis the movie filmed in Australia
My bladder literally exploded after this movie 😂
CGI background and people caught on fire during fight scenes failed in Furiosa.
But is it better than madame web lol?
Hmmmmmmm lol
this movie was rad
i did not enjoy it as much as people are saying, and i love fury road
