Knife making - Full Tang Drop Point Knife with Textured Handle

- I wanted to make a full tang camping-ish knife that I could use when summer comes around, and this is my attempt of doing that. Looking back at it now, I wish I would've made it out of another piece of steel since in my opinion HSS is not the easiest steel working with as it's already hardened. I am gonna make a sheath for the knife in the future.

my last hunting knife was a Schrade Sharpfinger skinning knife-it was razor sharp for the three years i carried and used it-i never had to sharpen it-unfortunately someone wanted it also and stole it from my deer camp along with some food and ammo

liked the knife except for the texturing of the grips id prefer them smooth or checked like pistol grips

Why are you taking the easy route? You have the tools and drive to create, just take the next step and forge a real blade! Any body can make a knife, but it takes a creative mind and discipline, to take it to the next level. Now is when you have to leave the children's table and join the adults.
