Making a small Hidden Tang Hunting Knife

- In this video I show how I make a small hidden tang hunting knife. This is the first hidden tang knife I ever made. It is going to be a giveaway for a competition at my local shooting club. I didn't record the making of the sheath because it was my first leather sheath ever and I didn't know how it would turn out. I hope you enjoy watching!

I have to give you TH-cam guys credit. I've been making knives since 1966, and if I had to do it with a hacksaw and files instead of my band saw and belt grinder, I'd have quit 40 years ago. Great job. Keep it up.

Thank you very much! I just used the Handsaw because it was such a small knife. For larger blades i use the angelgrinder for the rough shaping.

Just subscribed, absolutely beautiful knife! I use to make my knives with just files. But I will say the file gives great results since you can get as precise as you want it. The grinder just is faster but easier to mess up your knife. I will definitely be checking out your other videos.

What brand of filing jig is yours and where can I buy one? What brand and type of files do you use? I want to try to build a couple of knives and don't have a clue what are good files or what type to get! Thank you!
Mine is home made you can find out how to make them fairly easy here on you tube and for files I use a regular bastard Nicholson file yes I said bastard lol for some reason that's what they call them
