    I got one a few months back as I'd not enough power to each of my RGB components. I have to say it was an essential purchase and syncs up with the motherboard flawlessly.
    It's powering 14 ARGB fans (1 rear exhaust, 3 top exhaust, 4 front intake and 6 side intake on the radiator in push/pull), 2 ARGB GPU support brackets (one externally that I've modified into a headset rest) and 2 ARGB strips (1 top, 1 bottom) without breaking a sweat.
    For that many fans the system isn't unbearably loud which I'm quite surprised at.

    Good review! You answered some questions I had that I was having trouble getting an answer for anywhere else. I have an MSI B550 unify, and stupidly plugged in an rgb device to the bottom 3 pin argb header while the system was on, and the header stopped working. So all I have now is the other 3 pin header for any 3 pin devices I might ever control. My question was how to use more than one hub with only one header.. You say I can plug one hub into another.. I was racking my brains worrying whether or not I could use a splitter from the header to signal 2 hubs.. Or if that would damage my board.. I should have had the system powered off before plugging anything in to start with.. Oops. But now I'll just daisy chain a couple hubs.. Another concern I have is some people review hubs on Amazon and say it shorted out their psu or fried their mobo.. I hope it was an instance of user error, albeit unfortunate, and not a faulty hub.. I'd be sick if I wrecked my computer for using a hub..
    Anyway thanks again!

Is there any way to reduce the speed of the fans or any other fan hub that can modify the speed of my 8 fans with 3 pin connectors? No need to set the speed individually, i want to reduce the speed of all of them at the same time if possible. Thanks in advance!

    • @mikesunboxing

      3 pin fans use a different method of reporting and controlling fan speeds, so you will need a different type of splitter or controller.
      the DeepCool Fan Hub Control 4PWM Fan Speed Supports Fan with 3Pin/4Pin Cooling FH-04 you will need two of these to control 8 fans

    One question. I got a similar HUB for my case, and I have 3 Thermalright TL-S12W Fans daisy-chained, with one of them being plugged to the ARGB and PWM port on the HUB. Thing is, the female PWM connectors on these fans are 4-Pin, but the male ones are just 3-Pin. They seem to sync to the same speed tho, so guess it still works. However: I also have 3 fans from another brand. Those three are also daisy-chained with the first one being plugged to my HUB (ARGB and PWM). These fans have 4-Pin PWM connectors (both male and female). Now, these three and the Thermalright ones don't seem to run at the same speed. And as soon as I lower the speed, the Thermalright fans just stop spinning, while the other three run on their lowest speed. When I raise the speed again to get the Thermalrights back spinning, they seem to run quite fast and loud, faster than the other brand fans. I'm using the HUBs remote controller, btw. Not the motherboard port.
    Any idea whats causing this?

    • @mikesunboxing
      @mikesunboxing  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      yes the fans PWM controller is likely set differently so the RPM range will be out of sync

    • @Oozaru85
      @Oozaru85 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Fixed it. Seems the issue was that I didn't plug the PWM connector of the HUB to my motherboard. Now they run much quieter on lower speed. Not sure why it didn't work before, since the HUB control for PWM still worked, but apparently it didn't work right. Ah, well. At least it seems to work now. 9:50 Hello, I'm using the same motherboard and connectors that came with this fan controller and couldn't help but notice the RGB header that was included only has room for 3 pins as opposed to the four on the JRGB 1 port of the motherboard?
    There is a solid part inside the header that seems like it could damage the pins of the motherboard if I tried to push down. Is there something I'm missing?

    • @mikesunboxing

      the rgb header is a ARGB header so the blocked pin is to prevent damage using it on the wrong type of motherboard connection, this is for 3 pin 5v argb not 4 pin 12v rgb

    Hi, Mike. I've just realized that my MSI B450 Gaming Plus Max doesn't have a 5V header. I'm using an MSI Mag Vampiric 100r case, and besides the included ARGB fan and front ARGB strip, I've also purchased 2 additional 120mm ARGB fans for the top. It's my first time building a PC so until recently, I have no idea about the difference between the 12V and 5V header. So sad that this controller also requires a 5V connection for the motherboard. Just a few questions.
    If you don't plug a PWM plug into port one can you set the speed of the other fans individually?
    Can you set the ARGB for each individual device that you plug into the Hub?
    How does the Cooler Master Masterfan ARGB and PWM hub stack up to this hub in your opinion? I'm not asking you to buy it because I know you buy these items and they're not sent to you via another one of your videos. I just want an opinion on it from someone I think deserves to be trusted. The reason I'm asking is because when I looked it up, one seller on Newegg has 3.5 stars with 3 reviews for it and another has over 4 stars and 40 reviews so I have no idea which is an accurate representation of the product quality. I've also seen one seller on Amazon with at least 4 stars as well and I think 124 reviews.

    • @mikesunboxing
      @mikesunboxing  ปีที่แล้ว

      no the hub will not have a rpm signal and will just put all fans at 100%
      the ARGB will just replicate the incoming signal to all connected devices.
