I got one today. The last few seconds were the most helpful. I opened the Kindle app and had the hardest time getting out of it. I figured out a workaround and now I know how to navigate it.
Thanks for sharing this. It looks like a nice way to read books. I was wondering, is it possible to copy text from a book within the kindle app and then paste into a note or into word on the supernote? I'm thinking of buying a supernote and it would be really good if it is possible to copy from kindle and paste into other apps.
I know this is a long time from the post date, but great job with the video! For your safety, please know that blurring is non-destructive (someone could get back out a lot of the text with simple algorithms), but blacking something out completely *is* destructive and so can actually protect the data being hidden. Thank you again!
Hi, I’m new, so is supernote more focused on note taking? I’m seeing comments that the software is more polished vs say boox. But I’m looking for note taking and also reading
No. Just like on other devices, Kindle is a closed system. You can highlight text and have that highlighted text in a separate, attached “file,” but you cannot lift text to paste elsewhere and you cannot link from outside the app into it. Kindle is just a reader.
Tks for the video. I often times like to read at night, in my bed. How is the reading experience at night with a device with zero screen light? Kindle Paperwhite is so great about that.
Do all the other Kindle features like highlights and sync all work the same as an Amazon Kindle device? Can you write in your own comments or only type comments?
While watching your tutorial, I noticed that there was not an option for two-page layout. The new Scribe offers that, will Supernote be coming out with this?
You can highlight similar to how you would do so on a Paperwhite. You cannot write notes on the page. I don’t think you can link from a note to a Kindle page. I could not copy a quote to a note (I just tried).
That was the real bummer point of the super note. They wanted the gap to be as small as possible between the e-ink panel and the writing surface, which I think isn’t worth it. The Boox devices have backlight, and if there’s a piece of hair on the screen, you could see a noticeable distance between the shadow and it. But writing was still fine. For a kindle, it would cause a lot of inconvenience and potential eye strain. A lamp would solve the problem at least.
I’m really impressed with the performance. It’s as good, if not better, than the best Android eink devices. Better than allot of them. I would definitely pick one of those up. It’s better than the Scribe right now.

Very helpful with pre-purchase research. Can you also buy Kindle books within the app (unlike Android & iOS now)? Looks like, since prices are shown.
I want one sooooo bad and this was the last factor in my check list lol Full Sail on Supernote!

You would need to use a light. I bought a clip on light but then felt uncomfortable using it …so I read with Kindle or iPad Mini when in bed.

Would there be a way to read nook books on this?
What about the dictionary and the highlight ?? Does it work the same as in the kindle device?
Yes, highlight and dictionary are both available. You can also click to search the word on the web
Thank you so much 😊 for this!
I’m really happy it was helpful!
There’s no backlight?
Nope, it’s mainly for note taking
Hi. Can you take notes or highlight in the kindle app? Plus can you link from a note to a kindle page?

Is it me or the screen looks more yellowish than a kindle paper white for example
So cool until you said there was no light.

Feels too slow

I agree, and they keep improving it!
