If you are curious about pricing I did a bit of research and it should roughly be ~$200 USD difference depending on the version. Also take a look at what notebook you currently take notes in and evaluate your sizing needs, that's my best advice 📘

Totally agree. The Nomad should be a secondary device, not a primary one. Excellent for a laptop companion, like you pointed out. Very good video!

@@VladimirKostek depends on if they go with a Mobius display like they did in the A5X. If they do, I'm all over it. If not... I'll be in the A5X second hand market. Just been holding off on it to see what they do.

Curious about that, why do you think mobius would be better? Since there is a feelwrite 2 over it, fragility?

Had my A6 Nomad for one week now and wow Awesome. Have made 300 pages already. 182 for work/ small business. 118 for home/ personal. Use it for so many things. I however dislike the built in To-Do and Calendar apps. Wish I could delete both from the device. I replaced both of those with custom notes templates instead. This has been the prefect size to use along side my computers. The Supernote is so awesome how it works with ease with every other platforms around.

I just found out about the Supernote Nomad and I'm so glad I caught your video before buying one because an A5 size would be perfect for me! I've been on the lookout for a tablet that effortlessly transfers handwriting to text. Writing by hand is how I get out my creativity the best and being able to skip the extra step of typing it all out or using speech-to-text apps will be a huge time saver and game changer for me!

Yea the Supernote OCR is really good, and the cool thing about it is that it does it in the background so everything is searchable. I'll be making some content on the A5 X2 when it's out!

I have an A5 that I got a few years ago. It's my primary "paper" writing device for my work, but if I would be buying one right now, I would buy an A6. Maybe if I would use a backpack the size wouldn't be an issue, but as a hand bag user, it's too big for an everyday carry. Also, even with the case, the size and thinness make me worry that I will crack it in my bag which is why I always have it in the felt bag that Ratta send with the device which makes it even bulkier. So, if I want write outside my house, I always need to plan for the event in advance to take it with me. It’s not a device I can whip out from my bag in a moment’s notice. Even though I do appreciate the writing real-estate the A5 provides, for portability and on the go use, I think the A6 is a batter option.

    • @VladimirKostek
      @VladimirKostek  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

The A6 size is certainly nice for putting into a small tote or every day carry bag, it even fits in my travel jacket pocket! I'm sure you'll like it alongside your A5 👍

@@VladimirKostek I'm glad I got the A6X2. It's a bit of a strain for academic articles (can't trim in horizontal mode), but quite nice for taking notes. The digest feature is incredible. I'm synced with OneDrive and setting up my workflow, so whenever the A4 comes out I can hit the ground running with that device.
I also think I won't regret not waiting for the A5X2 because when I eventually have both A6 and A4, I think I'll like the portability of the A6 when I don't want to carry the big one around.
I actually got a Boox Max in 2020 and loved it for reading PDFs, but SuperNote has been so much easier to use. I love how easy it is to switch between files and that I can organize files from my computer. The splitscreen reading and note taking on Boox was a fun idea, but Supernote Digest and right-bar-swipe is much better.

Just returned my A6X2, too small and I kept bumping the gestures while writing which was super frustrating. For me, I noticed that the Remarkable is the standard by which all other tablets are compared... Once I acquired and used the RM2 for a few days I understood why. Happy RM2 user for now.

You can soon also consider the Boox Go 10.3 as an alternative. Better specs, more open while retaining that "RM feel". It's a broad attack on them and I will probably switch to them after RM botched some updates.

I write a lot, both for work and for personal things, pages upon pages (most of my notebooks have more than 30 pages on them), and I found the A6 size to be no issue. Really the software bit - the headings, keyword and star system - makes zipping around my big notebooks so easy that I don't feel at all limited by the physical size. But my notes are mostly text-only - if I was a mindmapping type of person then yeah the A5 would be much better for that.

    • @VladimirKostek

I agree, especially with the fine tip ceramic pens. It's easier to write smaller neatly

The A5 is almost too small for me for my writing needs. I'm not taking notes; I'm writing. I'd prefer something approaching a normal notebook size, or even A4. But Supernote doesn't make that yet.

I think the BOOX answer to this with their 10.3 is to make the device LIGHT and very THIN. You can hold BOOX GO for hours straight so that's portability. Compromising a bit though on storage (there's free cloud storage )

No, it's not big enough. But the system itself is marvelous. We should just SKIP the A5X2 and wait for the A4 version. The A5 and Nomad are too small. The Supernote ecosystem is so much better than that of Boox, but they need to up the ante and come out with a much larger version with 300 ppi.
