I don’t get splitting up two shows, rather than just finding a replacement for carton. Tiki and Tierney had a great show together.
In terms of personality mixes, I think Sal is a far better partner for Evan than Tiki. I suspect the afternoon show could get a little too quiet.
And if WFAN insists on these pairings, they should at least flip Sal and Tierney into the afternoon slot, and put Evan and Tiki in the midday.

Always loved Joe & Evan. Never a fan of Carton, and have not listened to Carton & Evan since the inception of their show. Not even once. Now that Evan has Tiki by his side, I will listen again. WFAN advertisers now have another potential customer.
Tiki is a nice calm guy, and Evan is a nerd. I don't see the chemistry. All the folks who turn in for a laugh will go elsewhere.
Like peanut butter and ketchup. Sal was the guy to put with Evan, but of course they effed it up. 🤦♀

Evan and Tiki. I don't know. BT and Tiki were good together. I also wish that Evan was paired up with Sal. Those two clicked well whenever they co hosted the show. However i'll give Evan and Tiki a chance.
BTW not much of a surprise Craig is taking credit for the creation of the Warmup Show and Boomer and Gio. So typical of him.

@@BillllfulNostalgicInclination I think they like to pair up the Yankee Giants/Jets Mets guys up whenever they can, to keep things balanced. If both guys are all for the same teams, the others ones don't really get the same talk time. It's like when Mac's on the air and it's all nonstop Giants Yankees until he's forced to talk about the Jets or Mets, it gets annoying
It should've been Evan and Big Mac....he's already been there with them....why not? Seems like a no-brainer
One thing Carton is right about are the commercials, they
go on way too long and are insufferable. No wonder why Carton
never sticks around after 6pm as it is nothing except commercials
from 6pm to 6:30pm every night and then the same thing on the bridge
show.

The numbers will tell the story, but I don't disagree with some of these comments on tiki. His low energy is a concern, but let's see how they do.
Gonna be alot more noticeable going from carton to tiki. That’s why BT and Tiki worked so well, BT had the loud energy and tiki was like Evan roberts of this show.

I think Evan could carry a show by himself but I get why he'll have a partner, probably not a popular opinion however. In terms of Tiki, I think this could work and I'm hopeful we'll have drive time back instead of a second morning show. Feel a bit bad for Tierney...

Why are they switching everything around, this makes no sense.
The ever increasing trend of having former athletes pose as media/broadcasters. Broadcasting is a profession, the best ones, with very few exceptions, are not former pro athletes, they are career communicators with talents they've been honing their whole lives, not as a second career handed to you because of your notoriety from a different line of work.

Between Evan's five town's smugness and Tiki's chip on the shoulder bitterness I'm sure this will relight the dumpster fire that temporarily shutoff once Carton came back. WFAN really dropped the ball again, I get the instudio show but they really should've reached out to Benigno and set him up mobile in Florida he really was the only reason why I personally listened to Evan & Joe.
The Program director at WFAN really doesn't understand the recipe for successful radio personalities and shows that they've previously produced. The common denominator is all successful shows and personalities that have come through this station were all native New Yorkers. Francesca, Dog, schmoozer, Joe B, Boomer & Carton, even Taz and The moose. Evan & Tiki rings repackaged Carlin, Maggie, and Bart all over again.

Craig is getting a couple of million dollars more from Fox Sports 1 than the Fan. The Fan wasn’t going to come close to matching that. How could he turn that down. Plus he still needs to pay more than a million in restitution from his crimes. This is a no brainer for him. Most decisions, not all, but most, are about money.

With everything that’s happened over these last few years I realize how much time has passed and how big WFan has been in my life especially earlier on and seeing people move is sad but part of life.
