Mazda Does not offer any panoramic sunroof options on any vehicles due to rigidity, they also are missing a more fun engine from this car, although if the diesel actually comes this time that might be a welcome surprise, but the engine is what is really holding this car back from being a great handling car with a bad motor, to a great all around vehicle.
hi Dave, what about the Mazda audio, bass treble fidelity etc. a car is a mobile hi-fi on wheels. can you please try and provide a review. what about hill starts in the snow and emergency braking to see if there is torque steer or any odd shift to the left or right to cause a spin out. one question Dave. does the AWD system engage and disengage or is it permanent. another review said that the Mazda uses an electronic coupling to the rear wheels. True or false, I have no idea. great initial review. and it has a spare tyre or tire.

Aoru the current gen Mazdas have great interior's. I own a 2016 and a 2008 so I can see the difference. Everyone has their preferences but I wouldn't call this interior horrendous. Happy holidays!
I hate what they did with the interior for the 2016. There are over a half dozen different kinds of textures and colors all visible just from the drivers seat. Chrome silver, satin silver, faux brushed aluminium, soft, medium, and large grain leather texture, and the most egregious of all, IMHO, faux leather stitching in the line of sight with real leather stitching, and the stitching pattern doesn't even match. It looks tacky and like there was no thought put into it. Maybe it was designed by the same person at Mazda who did the obnoxious "glued to the dash" infotainment screen? The "pat your head, rub your tummy" control scheme, by way of removing the side buttons, is a step backwards in ease of functionality. And with the removal of those buttons, they adjusted the angle of the bezel to make the screen appear larger when its sitting on the lot. Until you turn the car on and see that the screen is the exact same size as the original. Really cheesy. And, anecdotal, but it feels like the steering has been recalibrated, and the suspension has been tweaked on its valving. It rides much more stiff than the 2015 did to my butt-dyno. And the throttle pick up seems to have become a bit lazier as well. But, again, anecdotal. Overall, i am glad they are doing a full redesign of the 2017 model. Because they have taken a step back from the original CX-5 with the changes made to the 2016. Changes that were, IMHO, not really needed.

grab the 2016s while you can. They ruined the 2017 with an ugly grill and took the cool side swoosh off.

IMO the big issue with 2017 is the cool factor , steering is not as sporty as 2016
