Congrats. That's the stupidest comment I've read so far this year. Well done. Jacob Collier is the most unusual of talents and since we'd all like to learn from the best, it's a wonderful thing that he's willing to share. There's no cult. Unless you mean a cult of music. If there's one thing anyone who listens to Jacob knows, it's that he credits many many many great musicians who came before him for everything he knows. If you pay attention to what he plays and speaks of, then you'll discover a lot of music that isn't Jacob Collier. People who love music are grateful for his willingness to be so unselfish with his knowledge.

Diatonic triad and seventh chords moving sequentially up through a scale of the note the audience is singing as it's root, ending on what sounds like a quartal voicing. I don’t invest much in stage skills, because I don’t believe I would enjoy it. I don’t think I would connect with the audience and get energy. So it just feels like a hassle.
Achieving a policy change is much more interesting to me. Building something that makes people’s live better and seeing people use it, much better. Getting people to honestly discover something amazing about themselves and smile, in 1:1 or 1:small group settings, that sounds like a joy to me.
I also believe that making content for big audience is necessary for impact, but shouldn’t TH-cam videos, blogs, books, games etc be enough? Maybe 1:1 interviews would be a hack to get me interested in stages. But I doubt I will ever like it or have it feel like a reward.
