- In this video I go shopping at a Saigon fake market. I pick up a pair of kicks, a touristy T-shirt and a Yankees cap all for the price of lunch in Los Angeles. I also learn that not all knockoff merchandise was created equal.

Thanks for watching and subscribing! The stuff at these markets is cheap enough at the asking price so I try to stop bargaining when both the vendor and I have both had our fun with it. If I kept my day job I'd be paying five times as much at an American shopping mall.

Thanks! I love Saigon and FYI I have been wearing those Adidas running shoes for a few months straight, walking an hour or more each day and have washed them repeatedly and they are still in good shape.

By chance did you see any Oakley products there?
I did but didn't have a close look. I'll check them out at the next market I visit in Thailand. Some of the sunglasses are on point and others are really cheap and flimsy plastic knockoffs.

@@TheKarasuzero You'll find a lot of North Face backpacks. Not sure about Oakley. But check that Saigon Square market, right across from the Saigon Centre Shopping Mall and the Ben Thanh Market close by.

You can buy these watches or anything in Vietnam very cheap 10-15 usd not 100 or 150 usd
I didn't find any of the watches very well made even for 10-15 usd. There are a few brands, Invicta and Alba, that are selling new watches with a warrantee for well under $100 at the Duty Free shops in many airports.

Thank you so much. The stuff at these markets is already cheap enough so no reason to be an a-hole haha. And yeah, I'm glad I sprung for his more spendy "Adidas." I've put several hundred miles on those (5 mile walks per day x over 90 days) and the sole just started to wear. They're washable too so they still look new. Thanks for subscribing!

He wouldn't give up his source. But I've been walking in those "Adidas" about 5 kilometers every day for over a month and sprinting on the treadmill at the gym and they're holding up really well.
