Considering comfort for some people is different for others. A nice studio or one bedroom apartment is plenty for me.

Or buy a one way ticket and stay at a $4/night hostel until you find a long-term place. I've seen too many would-be expats come here and blow all of their money in a month or two still trying to figure it out and then call mommy for a plane ticket home. Saigon can be really cheap - or very expensive.

I have been in that market. Yes they have all luxury fake brands. Huge temptation but I didn’t buy it. I rather wear my Casio instead of showing off what I am not. Buying and wear these fake watches is like you are cheating others. And then you wear an AP and drive a Toyota? From far with these fake watches you could cheat a girl or someone who doesn’t know watches but you won’t never cheat who knows watches. Then I’m sure the quality control is really an issue. I heard some people bought these watches and a month later The hands have come off. For the same price you can buy a solar Seiko and can keep it for decades. At the end these watches are not a good deal + you could risk to meet someone who tell you your watch is a fake and make you lose the face. 😂

They are a little more sensative to steam ruining the gasket and the pins in the bracelet-style watches will pop out if you're wearing them to the gym. If it works for the few days of your trip to Vietnam it will proabably keep on working if you take care of it.

From $50 to $1000 USD. They get about $200 for most of the stuff you see me wearing. Get 3 or more (maybe go in with friends) and you can negotiate that down 25% or so.
Are the watches actually decent quality? I have an issue with paying good money when I could get a genuine decent made watch like a seiko or Casio for a few hundred bucks. And why no price? Is it all part of the bargaining game?
If I could get a YSL kislux bag for 500 euros I would buy one, but for 2000 euros I really don't think it's worth it. I think a lot of consumers are like this, which means that brands that choose to jack up prices to astronomical amounts lose a lot. I wouldn't spend that much on a woc, but a real bag that can hold more than one phone
I have sent them to freinds in the US who have had the links/size fixed or changed and the bracelet, band or battery replaced at local watchmaker shops. The silver bracelet watches have the most common problems with the pins falling out but that's an easy fix. Just don't wear them in a sauna - the steam under the crystal kills the watch.

Honestly how long do these watches last.
I have a few that I've worn every other day or so for a year. Same for the watches I've sent to friends back home. They are a little more sensative to steam ruining the gasket and the pins in the bracelet-style watches will pop out if you're wearing them to the gym. If it works for the few days of your trip to Vietnam it will proabably keep on working if you take care of it.

Those watches sell for about $200 each and most buyers are happy with them. Just don't jump in a pool with them on but they are pretty solid. I will be in Saigon next weekend then I'm off to the States for a few weeks and back in mid August.

From $50 to $1000 USD. They get about $200 for most of the stuff you see me wearing. Get 3 or more (maybe go in with friends) and you can negotiate that down 25% or so.
Are the watches actually decent quality? I have an issue with paying good money when I could get a genuine decent made watch like a seiko or Casio for a few hundred bucks. And why no price? Is it all part of the bargaining game?

If I could get a YSL kislux bag for 500 euros I would buy one, but for 2000 euros I really don't think it's worth it. I think a lot of consumers are like this, which means that brands that choose to jack up prices to astronomical amounts lose a lot. I wouldn't spend that much on a woc, but a real bag that can hold more than one phone
The problem is that you cant get those watches fixed.
I have sent them to freinds in the US who have had the links/size fixed or changed and the bracelet, band or battery replaced at local watchmaker shops. The silver bracelet watches have the most common problems with the pins falling out but that's an easy fix. Just don't wear them in a sauna - the steam under the crystal kills the watch.
