- We love a bargain and we had so much fun price haggling with the locals in one of our earlier videos, showcasing Ben Thanh market, so we thought, why not do another one!
In this video we try our hardest to shop at Saigon Square market but found that it wasn't as easy as we thought. Dion aims to buy a t-shirt for a similar price as Ben Thanh Market (100k VND / ~ $4.21 USD), will he be able to get a similar deal? Watch to find out!

Would not pay equivalent to $20 Australian dollars for a fake t-shirt... save you money and buy a kmart t-shirt for $5 when you get home
Haha, they wouldn't budge! So glad we managed to get a decent price 😌, but yes miss Kmart shopping 🛍️
When i was younger i used to bargain like you, but as i got older i realised whats a dollar here and there for me compared to how it is for them. 220k to 200k isnt worth the stress my friend. Just give the poor lady that extra $1.30 AUD

i had the same thing happen to me last year at Saigon square, they wouldn't budge on prices.
It was the strangest thing because we were actually there maybe 4-5 weeks prior to the video and they were super open to negotiating and the starting price was already quite good! No idea 🤷🏻♀️
If you have plan visiting Ben Thanh market remember this new arithmetic:
1 + 1 = 1 1
before getting ripped off.
