Thats awesome. I freaking love snowmobiling. Id love to try this. Ive never done more than maybe 200 yards straight. Really aslong as you keep your speed up and dont physically turn the handlebars or run out of gas, you are fine. You can lean, but if you actually turn the handlebars youll drop like a rock. My stepdad actually sunk one once doing that. Luckily the water was only like 3ft deep, but he didnt know that. He was frantically swimming away and one of his friends yells "stand up!". He stood up only to realize the water is so shallow his handlebars were still sticking out. All he had to do was kill the sled and walk out. Thats not to say there wasnt any damage though.. there was, but we fixed it prwtty easily.
Well it doesn’t look like to me this guys front skis aren’t even touching the water so I don’t think that would actually happen unless you’re going too slow lmao
I wonder how many kilometers were lost to wind resistance from the upright driver position, clothing flapping in the wind and the two flags on the rear of the sled. When I put my hand only out the car window its a surprising amount of energy from the wind pushing.
The extra gas tank probably had its own gas hose that connected into the factory gas line. same as when they fly those small single engine planes from North America to Europe.
how was there enough fuel to keep it going at what seems like near top speed for such a long distance ? How far can that snowmobile go on snow with a fuel tank of gas ?

I would love to see a video of how he set up his sled for the ride, a map of where he made the run, and an explanation of what happened at the end.
I think he just ran out of fuel at the end. He was always going to go as far as he could, which means emptying the tank.
They say where in the vid some 240km fjord river. I'm more surprised that the tank ran so long. It looked like 5hrs.on the sled.
