Nito even complains in her 2. ascennsion, that her first outfit is the bare minimum and was embreasing (even, when she didnt wear much more in Form2^^).

I think her lack of clothes is a reference to how the Romans stripped her naked before they whipped her
If I recall from an analysis of her design, it said that Boudica's first ascension art is meant to essentially be what the Romans saw her as and the final one is meant to show her as something akin to the mother of Britain.
Still doesn't justify the shield colours but the boob window is explained by it being a sign of maternity. Avenger Boudica's would be better though.

A serious story about Boudicca is actually grand lancer Roma’s interlude. Because the serious part of that interlude is basically Boudicca having a breakdown and blamed everything on Romulus because as Romes God he allowed every unthinkable act done by Romans and basically her saying that she might forgive the emperors, ceaser and even romulus human side but never Quirinus.
I did consider bringing this up, but I don't have Quirinus in my Chaldea. I'd have had to fish up the footage from elsewhere when it ultimately didn't make much of a difference.

Honestly....I get the feeling Rider Budica may have the memorys of the rebellion, but she has the personality of her pre rebellion self. Before this tragedy truly struck her, wich is why her hatred isnt as prominent in the second Singularity. Kinda how Archer Gilgamesh remembers his entire life, but personality wise he is from before he became friends with Enkidu and mallowed out. Atleast I bein told thats the main diffrence between Archer and Caster Gil. So that could explain why she isnt a Avanger. Perhabs the Counter Force delibertly did this so Boudica would be a acual help and not a raging monster attacking both sides, same how it made Sherlock a Ruler to prevent his curiosity from getting out of hand if he where to be a Caster.
I also think that if Boudica has the information about the other emperors then she _could_ objectively reason that the other side is worse.

Sadly Boudica remains more or less a poster child victim of early FGO, between the gameplay design and story writing not being to the standards we know it for today, as well as Avenger class not being a thing until post-London with Dantes (lest we forget that Jalter in her first appearance was a Ruler). But hey, the Lostbelts brought back Spartacus and Caligula and made great use of them, so maybe there's hope yet for our favorite mama queen.
Would have loved if the Nero was the villain at the end of the chapter given even more seeds as to her becoming best 666 caving to the madness and manipulations of Caligula and inheriting the madness but ultimately betraying him as we defeat him to be the final boss.
Boudica avenger a 4 to 5 star and Spartacus less mad maybe with kinda like a Leonidas or Beowulf personality as main supports would have been great.
Combination of Septum, Nero Fest, and LB 3? An actual analysis/critique of fate Nero's and Boudica's characters? Sure that sounds cool.

It’s both ridiculous, entertaining, is fueled by the vary fandom, and provides a lot of flexibility as to who could be the main villain or hero.
Are the servants violently rioting the bad guys, or is the servants trying to prevent them from getting swimsuits in the first place the villains?
Next year, NA will get a command code that applies Roman trait on-hit, so you won't need Romulus, though he is feature in the command code's art.
Good to know, but I still wish it was on one of Boudica's skills.
@@CrazyYurie I'm sure an Avenger Boudica would have a skill like that. Justified by 'so blinded by hatred that everyone is a Roman in their eyes'. At least Rider Boudica is sane enough to tell the difference for better or worse. It's a crying shame how some early Servants were treated in FGO. Tsiah IV recently put out a video discussing some ideas of how to make FGO better and improved characterization was high on the list of priorities with examples like Blackbeard, Nero, early Berserkers, and other being mentioned. There is a distinct tendency to give a white-wash treatment to some Servants with questionable history by modern standards and I think that's doing the fans a disservice. History exists to learn and grow from. Both the characters in-game and the players can't do either of those things if you try to bury or alter it.
I not sure how true it is but I have heard that the original writers for FGO pre Camelot just treated it as "just another Gacha game" and didn't care to write anything compelling and Septem 100% feels like it. An idea I had for Semtem was just to make it that the Roman Empire has sprung back up post its destruction and that you need to take down all the Roman servants, then Boudica and Spartacus would be your allies in taking Nero and the Romans down.
this is correct it why you have so many random fights it took them tell post london to realize that people will play a gacha game for the story and not just fights since they was very early on in the gacha game lifecycle you see it in early Granblue fantasy to for example
If they want to fix Boudica, they should retcon her Rider form to be her kind and caring side that inspired her troops (which is why she felt pity for the Romans). Then give an Avenger form that's the true Boudica who regrets nothing. Also, make Avernger's NP Boudica's Lair and have it apply the Roman trait.
Boudica for some reason has a second Noble Phantasm named 'Sword of Boudica', which according to it's description is able to 'fire a barrage of red mana projectiles'. I do not know if it is related to any of her myths, but it exists unused within in Servant characterization for some reason.
I found nothing in regards to it.

Boudicca is known as the queen of victory and Excalibur is referred to as “the sword of promised victory”. This is why Boudicca’s sword looks like a discount version of Excalibur. Because the link is tentative at best, Boudicca’s sword can fart mini beams but that’s about it.

When it comes to the first few singularities the developers of the game chose the servants at random and with very little research behind their roles.
An excellent example of this is the second and fifth singularity.
With the exception of Nero and Attila I can’t wrap my head around the thought process of half the characters in the story.
Meanwhile, the American singularity has more to deal with the Irish and Indian servants then America when it comes to both servants and history. Not to mention the geographical inaccuracies makes me wonder if they even read a American history book when they were writing the story.

Boudica's soldier: What? And don't you think the same result would have been obtained if we joined the United Empire? Also....there is no guarantee that Nero will keep the promise she made and she could kill us once she realizes that we are a threat to her Roman Empire.
Boudica's soldier: Additionally, rumors mention that Altera, better known as Attila the Hun, is near this area and plans to destroy both Empires. Wouldn't it be more convenient to have a friendly conversation with Altera and join forces to destroy the Romans?

Yes, she had wasted potential. She’s one of my favorite servants and the only reason why I wanna know more about her is because of FGO and I would like to see her and other classes, such as Saber, Lancer, and berserker as well as what you said about being an avenger
also, i would like to see a self-sacrificial noble phantasm for Boudica to tie in everything about her, I think it would be very similar to Jeanne's La Pucelle or Quetzal's original noble phantasm (i think more on La Pucelle then Quetzal's NP). and it becoming an A- ~ A ranked Anti-fortress noble phantasm reflecting on how she destroyed and burned Citys and her sacrifice representing her unfilled vengeance and her unaliving of herself would be the frosting on top.
I would love a fix of the second singularity story vise. Also if we ever get a Avanger Boudica perhabs we could make her a stonch enemey of Cheldea. Cheldea holds Roman Servants, this in the mind of the vengfull Boudica means Cheldea must die. Maybe she could even call all the british Servants that also are allied with Chaldea Traitors as in her eye they are collaborating with the enemie. And the story could entirley be about making her relize that protecting humanity as a hole is more important then her hatred fore poeple long dead, where she agrees to put her hatret aside fore now, wich allows her to be summoned as a Avanger Class in Cheldea
The issue is simply how early on Septem was. It was an era before Type-moon saw it as its own thing, but merely an advert for its other properties. Hence the Nero shilling, it as an ad for Extra essentially.
Fate/Grand Order kept growing, and around the fourth singularity they began to see that potential, but by then the fifth was well underway. But they brought in Nasu for the sixth, and we know how Camelot was, with Babylonia and the Final Temple following suit.
Boudica is a victim of that early writing. The later interlude stuff is an attempt to course correct, not bone throwing. But that early writing was so flawed compared to what came after, they prefer not to focus on it.
The thing I feel you failed to touch on is how servant classes effect the servant in question. You grade her rider form as if she were that hypothetical avenger class, but thats like grading Archer Gilgamesh as a poor ruler based solely on Caster Gilgamesh's rule in comparison where one represents his pre-enkidu and enkidu-adventuring self, and the other the older wiser king from after all that.
Her rider form is NOT the avenger form, it is her aspects her peoples protector and mother, not the destroyer. Thats why she has a support NP, and ultimately why she had the ability to fight for humanity over choosing vengeance that may well have doomed the singularity and humanity.
I feel like we're overdue with an Avenger class of her.
Side note: PLEASE GIVE ME A SWIMSUIT MEDUSA! I DON'T CARE WHICH VERSION!
it would have to be a boudica Alter because when in her right mind she herself chooses to not be summoned as an avenger similarly to Alcides in Fate/Strange Fake.
There is a command code now that can apply the Roman trait as a debuff in the enemy for five turns, making her in an actually very powerful universal damage support. It is JP only for now and is given out during the FGO arcade collab that features Draco. It will be on NA in little more than a year.

I’m not sure if it’s worth mentioning but if memory serves in the Solomon singularity she is allowed to go on blast at nero of all her grievances at Nero’s expense.

@@CrazyYurie also something worth mentioning that in FGO in particular most of not all servants who are aware of their pasts have made peace with most aspects and exist knowing that as fragments they are free to exist in this second chance of life anew.
Servants like Columbus are exceptions, servants who are aware of their prior lives and don’t give a shit about changing.

I'll admit this one is more personal to me than most, but I did still try to give her a fair assessment. This wasn't an F from the start.

Oh I'm already thinking about the spree of videos I'll get to do when Traum comes out. Not only the servants that come out with it, but other characters who have very notable appearances in that story - notably Vlad III, Siegfried, and Salome.
Well, allow me to explain something about Boudica's design, her having a Roman shield fits her lore quite well. Her primary enemies were Roman so her taking a shield from her fallen enemy and using it against them is something people would actually do.
Also, Boudica is one of the cooks in Chaldea due to her being a mother playing a crucial part in her lore. This was the game's way of doing so and a slight call back to her roasting cities.
As for her first skill, it's more about her hatred for Romans than the Goddess, it's the skill name that makes it seem she had 2 skills relating to the Goddess.
Then, there's Septem... Yeah, I can't really defend that but it does bring to reason why she's a rider in the first place (and not just because Avenger wasn't a class back then). The Counter Force summoned her as a Rider percisely so she WOULDN'T burn the world down herself. Her Rider self seems to symbolise the more modern interpretations of Boudica rather than how she'd actually be if summoned so it does make some sense why she'd care more about people.
The Servants that who were summoned to combat Caligua were specifically supposed to hate Romans so they'd be good against them. The problem was, they forced this to be a Nero event because she was popular in Fate/Extra, that's why she was made to be the main servant for Septem. In reality, Boudica should have been the main servant and it should have been her rebellion against Nero (Who honestly should have been the anagonist) that would have worked better for the plot. Septem was bad because they had to make Nero look good.
We might get an Avenger Boudica later down the line, who knows. However, she'll likely be another Burn Avenger that hates Romans specifically.

Budica as the main support a 4 or even 5 Avenger and less mindless Spartacus against a mad Nero would have been awesome and actually might have even given more precedence to having the Nero of FGO becoming a adequate vessel to Beast 666 since she would already well in her way to making her Mother Harlot taking on the madness from Caligula having her betray him in the end as we defeat him as a even more twisted villain.
It would have bein fun too see a historical accurate Nero, problem is that utterly contradicts her depiction in Fate Extra. Howewer they could have easeley retrofittet that by simply saying Saber Nero is a younger ideal Nero in the wary earley days of her rule, while the Nero we fight in Septim is a bitter, insane Nero thats a entireley diffrent class, perhab a Rider to paralel the also Rider Boudica ore a Berserker do to her insanity.
i for one would love to see you do a rewrite of fgo chapters cus some of them need some REAL work, also cant wait to see the artoria vid :) gonna take you a while though huh?

I'd love your take on a Septem re-write that utilizes the history better. I've always been bitter about how such a cool concept (a roman civil war) got utilized so poorly.
I wouldn't go for a Roman Civil War per se, though that certainly could be done. I mean, the Romans certainly had plenty of those.
One of the FGO mangas, Mortalis:stella cuts a lot of the fat of Septem and gives Boudica a lot of spotlight. I'd recommend giving it a read

Boudica suffers a lot in terms of design just because she's a day 1 addition, I imagine she'd be much better designed if she were added to the game after Dantes (since his addition is the Avenger class's debut). I still like her a lot though.

I would excuse the clothes cause just as there are some depictions of her dressed pretty conservatively there are old art pieces of her topless. And if we could find a way to let that happen, we would find a way to have Scathach and the Cus appear naked wearing body paint rather than the skin tight suits we have now.

Finally, I'm commenting again on one of your videos (I had already commented in small posts). I've had several tough weeks, but I can finally give myself a break.
With that said, Boudica got pretty dirty in FGO: both in her design and her portrayal. In fact, I dare say that all of Rome and the Servants there became dirty at the end of the day where only about 2 or 3 had redemption over time (sadly, not Boudica). It's funny that Boudica and Jeanne fell into the trap of being "Big Sis" to other characters. However, Jeanne took it to a sick and sadistic extreme with her Summer's version (where now she can also use brainwashing tactics). I guess it's a blessing that Boudica doesn't have her Summer version since it could make the character worse.
At least Boudica will feel comfortable in the "F" Hell since it became much more comfortable when Dobrynya Nikitich joined the club a while ago.

PS: Likewise, FGO being weird: changing the gender of its important historical figures, but treating one of its most important female historical figures very badly.

yeah i often though the Boudica from septem was supposed to be another servant entirely and used Boudica as a place holder, all i know is now that i know the real story of big sister Boudica i'm mad about her depiction, if i had to rewrite septem, I'd make Boudica a enemy who shows up regularly to try and defeat Nero, maybe have Nero try to reason with her before defeating Boudica, as for what would happen next i don't know
As fun as a concept that would be for Summer 9, i wouldnt want for us to get Avenger Boudica as a swimsuit servant

Honestly it would be a waste to try and recap all of say Caesar's life in a video about him being a servant, the things that matter most as we have him right now are general things about his early life and rulership and things related to Cleopatra which it towards the end of his story if I'm remembering correctly.
I respect Boudica for being able to work with Nero despite the fact she totally qualifies as (and should eventually be) an Avenger
Also to be fair servant SHOULD be affected by modern information imparted by the Grail so I do think that some shifts in sensibilities isn't completely unfounded once and a while, also it could be that the change in her feelings about her history and rome could be Because she is a Rider not an avenger

Instant of beeing a general of Nero, should the story have been changed in the way, that she would be the main antagonist of S2. And not two romes version.
All roles, that the enemy rome had, would be probally had worked with her as the leader to (change of history: her revolte worked and she is on the way to rome).
It weird we never got an avenger like why didn’t we maybe it’s year 1 problems but story wise it’s weird even for other servants
The thing about Septem is that even its own writer dislikes the chapter, before Agartha, it was considered the worst in terms of writing especially thanks to its egregious Mary Sue Nero wank, and part of the reasoning for that is because the author had too many ideas for what they, at the time, considered to be an "ordinary gacha game" (they didnt expect FGO to last a single year at this point.)
As a result, a LOT of stuff from Septem was cut (we dont even know them all) that have been reimplemented in the manga, the most prominent examples being Nero's LESS THAN STELLAR mental state and exploration for her being as strong as a servant, alongside Boudica's friction and hatred for rome, clashing with the fact that she's actively the only one able to HELP Nero during her breakdowns.
Well for septem in reguards to story I can see why boudica would side with nero because as much as nero was the emperor that governed during that time, from what I have seen the abuse and disgusting actions the Romans did were likely caused by local officers that were corrupt pieces of shit considering the governor was elsewhere at the time and I find it unlikely he wouldnt want another revolt on their hands, why nero? Having the benefit of having seen what happened after her life and around it I find it likely she chose to come to nero’s Side because of the sides it , of the Roman Empire she was the one less at fault also cause well she needed more troops to defend Britain and sure as hell getting one half of the Roman Empire on her side as much as she hated them cause as u pointed out septem is around boudica’s time so it’s likely she chose to side with the empire not just cause guilt but u know to protect her people that at the time might still be alive, also the United empire is like what boudica hates the most as in the people that brought the empire to Britain in the first place, ceasar which was the first to attempt to invade Britain calligula which also further expanded on that iirc, and in the end the the main reason why rome exists in the first place u know romulus, but yeh fgo thanks to the romulus quirinus interlude at least made clear the idea that she decided to focus her hatred on their god which allowed them to do so in the first place. I know u might be disappointed cause of the writing and I understand I don’t like septem either but at the same time I feel boudica toned down her hatred also cause she was summoned to stop, u know the entirety of human history from turning into charcoal so u know might be a good factor there why she ain’t all that crazy about killing romans since u know Roman or not they all on the same boat. Altho if u refering to sakurai, to want to blame her u can but there also various reasons why she had problems writing a good story for septem so I am gonna be a bit of devil’s advocate, the reason why fgo early chapters except fuyuki are not good is cause well a variety of reason: 1 at the time type moon and the writers were uncertain if fgo would have success or not which the writers likely held them back personally from giving their best which bit them in the ass in the long run but yeh human error, 2 nasu admitted for everyone writing on fgo at the time was actually quite difficult because they never wrote for a mobile format before so they didn’t know how much they were allowed to do or not and especcialy how to write to accomodate the devs in implementing the text smoothly,3 nasu wasn’t supervising what was being written after fuyuki cause he was likely busy or not invested but by Camelot u can see the improvement of the story and writing in general cause nasu put quite the effort to fix fgo’s story, sure we have agartha which is also not good but that was also minase’s first fgo work and if at all he has been the writer that improved his level of writing the most since after agartha he wrote lb4 which was preaty good, but yeh unfortunatly earlu fgo stuff has quite a bit of issues they have been trying to solve over time but hey what is done is done. Not sayin u can’t dislike boudica as they have made her but yeh I can’t exacly hate her either cause as much as yes she might be quite not accurate I have grown to like the one we have even with its flaws. As for fate zero I know I might sound weird but hear me out, zero is a separate dipiction of artoria which should be separate of stay night artoria why? First of all nasu said zero isn’t actually a prequel but a separate what if of the 4th holy grail war do to inconsistencies with the events of stay night particolarly that artoria and kirei kotomine in that work are just urobuchi’s interpretations which urobuchi himself says in the interviews, that’s he completely ignored artoria’s actual character and created the honorable saber just cause he wanted to torture her and make her suffer(yes gen urobuchi was that type of person at the time Cause he had severe depreession) also because it contradicts what was said in stay night artoria didn’t hate kiritsugu but she is conflicted about him because her and him only spoke 3 Times and artoria by what garden of Avalon described dosnt match at all with zero artoria in terms of character(garden of avalon being written by nasu and being various episodes during artoria’s life)if at all by what garden of Avalon describes artoria was very much a less extreme kiritsugu in her methods and mentality which reflects in stay night in which if u have low points with saber in the fate route she outright kills u or when in heaven’s feel she threatened zouken by saying: I will kill your entire bloodline, yeh dosnt match at all with zero saber which has been ignored by the writers as not actually canon aka zero is a self contained story which gave new stuff to the canon but it’s stil a self isolated what ifs with some characters added in the general lore because of nasu as usual picking the stuff he thinks are good and carrying them over. what i would give for your proposed summer 9. it's a shame boudica was written the way she was in septem. unfortunately a number of early fgo servants were done dirty. they do seem to slowly be making up for it, and recent servants are absolutely great most of the time

That's what Goetia wants, but most of the servants you fight during the first story arc don't know that.
An interesting thing is that in the super Romulus interlude, they really dive into Boudicca resentment towards Rome towards the founder of Rome.
While it’s not enough to justify her poor usage in the main story, it’s a nice piece all the same.
It also brings into question how many servants hate the fact they have to work with people from rivals nations or factions, but just put up with it for the sake of maintaining the human order.
As for Boudicca herself, I guess I can she her feeing a-bit bad for slaughtering what was effectively her old neighbors in both a cultural and regional sense, after a few centuries in the throne of hero’s to reminisce on it.The people simply got a better deal with the Romans than she did, and were torched as a result. As with protecting the human order, the people of the Isle of Britain were wiped with Goetias plan and then wiped but the foreign god, the later really being the embodiment of a foreign power wiping her people out. I can def see her putting her grudges aside for the sake of of the people of the British Isles future.

For my part, I can't argue at all with this. Boudica got done dirty. As for a proposed rewrite of Septem, no point. If you want to stretch your creative muscles, make a new story that could fit with what we got and fix things up at least somewhat.
On that front, the obvious Boudica being Avenger, and us knowing now that the Singularities were counter to the newest arc villains intents, I think that could open up some possibilities. We could have Avenger Boudica as part of the opposing faction, and knowing she would have thrown a serious wrench into Septem as is, some spirit origin hackery was used to greatly pacify her and send her in giving us the rider version. A new arc could then be the true avenger Boudica being a major antagonist. Could even throw in Nero on our side to revisit the whole Septem setup and play it out in a more proper manner. Myself I would have the resolution be that we find Rider Boudica is the key, and by remerging the two aspects, it weakens avenger version enough for us to come out on top, but that's just me.
Thank you for covering my wife. Anyway, what if Boudica had a fuse like what happened with Van Gogh, but with her and Andraste. That would sound really cool, but since she still hasn't got an avenger version sadly, only one could dream. They could've done so much about her, but that feeling when Shindo L did her better than the writers themselves.

I think boudica syphilis from the case of early writing because a character makes sense at least to me but I feel like if that singularity happened later they would have tried giving her more justification than the other side is worse and even if that is true I think making her work with the person who indirectly had that made that happen to their daughters the should have been something right is it really does feel like they want it Nero's allies to be the people who would hate them the most I didn't give them more justification than the other teams the worst guys though and that's mediocre writing at best and I would like to see you try rewriting some of the less good chapters

I completely agree that Septem is an absolute train wreck and is poorly written at best, but I still love Boudica as a character. I do wish they’d deal more with Boudica’s hatred for Romans, particularly towards Nero. We do get something along those lines with Quirinus’ interlude, but I wish we’d get more for Boudica.
I definitely like Boudica more than the Roman servants, that said, I do respect Quirinus for his actions in that interlude.
I definitely have to agree with you that the second singularity is definitely the one that needs to be rewritten from scratch.
Personally, I would’ve had Nero’s mother be the bad guy. Have her take command of Rome thanks to a crisis and her having the support of two former emperors and Romulus. Meanwhile, she’s just using this position of power as a launching point for her real plan. she is planning on using the poison and antidote combination she used on Nero on all of Rome.
With her in charge Rome will survive, but the moment she hits the bucket she’s taking Rome with her.
Next, I would have Rome’s enemies being the people trying to stop her.
However, Chaldea wouldn’t realize who is the real villain until they defeated a decent chunk of the servants that would have supported them.

I would disagree with your point about Boudica having no reason to see the roman alliance as worse than Nero in Septem. Both sides may be roman, but there's still the matter that if Romulus' victory spells the end of human history, something Boudica knows since that's why she got summoned here.
As much as I agree about Boudica's treatment in Septem being extremely weak, the fact that she had it in her to put that grudge on the side for the sake of the greater good was something I really liked in theory.
Fate's Boudica interpretation was some Braveheart level bastardization of the historical figure. Even if they introduce a US President only for them to make Theodore Roosevelt a waifu I still think they'll be treated better
So Boudica let me get this straight after your revolt against the holy Rome empire you decided to team up with the rome to fight against the unite empire even though the holy Rome empire you teamed up with is lead by Nero Claudius the same person you revolted against but was also the same person who led to the reason you revolted in the first place and is fighting against the united empire who are lead by Romulus the founder of Rome aka you teamed up with Rome to fight against the Rome and not only that but you feel bad for what you and your army did in your revolt even though the fact you not only allowed that to happen but also order them to do it leads me to think you didn’t give two fuck about it you just let it happen and for some reason you feel bad about it why I mean can someone please explain to me what sense does that make because I’m confused I mean would it make more sense to team up with neither side or if your gonna team up with Nero backstab him i mean her later on or something?

i dont like boudica actually, ever since i learned of her history, its awful, every single aspect, especially when arc 1's writing is so bad for 90% of it, she needs to get proper depiction hopefully as an avenger like taira, taira express all the time how much she hates and will kill the genji, ffs her power mod against them is 200%, ON A SKILL, even if the genji trait is not even 20 servants this is how deep is her hatred, THIS is what boudica needs, and a more ''fancy'' design, i understand year 1 shenanegans against low starts(hello big head ushi), but she has potential to be more, and for me the avenger class faces a crisis, after taira, who do they really have to hate ? from kama to avenger nito, those have no business really being avengers, ranmaru even has foreigner passives due to being from servant verse, and ushi gozen despite being good as an avenger makes more sense as a berserker than raikou herself.
As a rare Historical Nero Apologist (I have a post arguing the Neronian Persecution of Christians didn't happen on my SolaScirpturaChristianLiberty blog) it's not to hard for me make sense of her siding with Nero in a Roman Civil War. First of all the conflicts in these singularities are the kind where Neutrality isn't really an option, I could easily paint WW2 as a Roman Civil War the British had no logical reason to care about if I wanted, but I won't. The crimes committed agaisnt Boudicca's family can be blamed on middle management that Nero is only passively indirectly responsible for and that he did try to correct.
The idea that no one in the Ancient World cold possibly understand considering the massacre of an entire city an Atrocity is a Strawman about Ancient people that I personally find really annoying. Fact is Caesar's atrocities against the Gauls were criticized by fellow Romans at the time.
WW2... as a Roman Civil War? That's a serious stretch from my perspective.
