    Hui, Aloha Derek I love your videos and the fact that you educate people who set their hearts on moving not knowing what they could do better by adjusting their attitude or what they might incounter. But one of the thing I really loved was that you did monitize or insist that they contact you it makes you look more for real and not all about the money. Your parents did good. It's the akamai ones that going find you.

    Thanks for being a great 👍 host of your show. I will be binging your channel from your first day on YT. I’ll be moving back home in the next 2 years. So I want as much info about HI as possible. Blessings to you and your family.

    What a way to end this video cause Ridgecrest is where my family and I use to live there many years ago. It hurts me so good with nostalgia. Too bad it is very pricey to live there. No wonder my parents had it worst financially. By that I say, I missed living in Hawaii so much. Thanks for posting this video. I'm crying like...... hours looking at the condo.

    Hurts my soul that Hawaii is so expensive. We got our house in Debary FL for 250k in 2020. 4 bd 3 bath 1985 sqft. We're planning on moving back to Hawaii in a year or two. It's literally painful knowing we'll have to dish out around or over 1 million to get a 4 bed single family house in a good area. But it's worth it to go back home and be by my family again. STILL HURTS.

    Howzit!? In the Woodcreek Crossing community , we have 77 units. We probably have 15-20 military families who rent and 5 or so that own. We pay 2 associations. One to Launani Valley (quarterly) and another to Woodcreek Crossing (monthly).

    Hi Derek, As a potential buyer a big concern in investing in condos or apartment style units is finding a way to assess noise coming from neighbors especially thru common walls or thru noise from below or above. Is there anyway you can start adding your own advice or commentary on this?

    • @movingtohawaii
      @movingtohawaii  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Aloha Sean. I have a few thoughts on this and maybe even a technique to leave a decibel reader in the home to record noises, but there isnt a lot that can be done. These 2-3 story townhomes will result in more noise usually than taller buildings built for noise and usually to
      Include concrete barriers/walls/floors.
      Sign up on the site when you’re ready and we can discuss different areas and thoughts on noises etc. mahalo for your comment

    Is Mililani more for military types that prefer to live off base? Who is the major developer who created the track housing there?

    • @movingtohawaii
      @movingtohawaii  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Castle & Cook was the developer for much/most of the zip code. To answer your other question, which I have to avoid answering it as framed.
      FYI Mililani is really close to Schofield Barracks, Wheeler, and other military installations and is still a better commute to Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam, Ft. Shafter, and Tripler compared to Ewa or Kapolei.

    Howzit! Thinking about purchasing in woodcreek. Any owners in the area can shed some light of the runoff concern that Derek brought up?

    How come you haven’t covered Royal Kunia? I was thinking about that the other day when I had doctor appointment in Waipahu and was driving back to Schofield to work and saw Royal Kunia. Would be short commute for active duty stationed at Schofield plus its country and not too far from North Shore or Kapolei and West Side interests.

    Apartments converted to "townhomes" and actual townhomes that were built to be townhomes are completely different. You can remove the shell from a car and call it a convertible but it's not really a convertible... Not to shit on anybody, just saying... Those aren't townhomes, they're apartments.

    • @movingtohawaii
      @movingtohawaii  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They are 100% not apartments by definition. An apartment is when you own a building and rent each unit. A condo is the building is collectively owned by all of the individual unit owners.. then there are townhomes.

    Hello - thank you for the informative videos! Which property (1-2bdrm) is the most affordable (price, HOA) to invest, yet popular among the service members? I would appreciate it if you name your top 3. I prefer the newer buildings. Thank you.
