Special thanks to Joshua Taylor from the recreator3D project for advising/mentoring us on PET bottle recycling! - วิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยี
This is peak humanity. Period.
An open source project that makes development and autonomy more accesible by recicling? I physically can't fit more beautiful words in that sentence this is too good
Great project my friend! It is very good to make people aware because not only do you get a better price for the filament, but you also reduce plastic waste by approximately 70%.
The amount of education that this will provide just from accessibility is unmeasurable and priceless even for myself as only having an interest in 3D printing but has held myself back due to the costs involved, this has renewed much interest - thank you.
Big time x2 - Whats your IG? Lets share some 3DP insights
This makes me so happy to see. Thank you for helping communities and the environment. You deserve an award for this. Awesome job!
Amazing work Swaleh. Keep up the good work!
Humanity at its finest!! You guys are gold!!
Congrats on winning! Absolutely incredible invention and will change so much in the world. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Amazing work!
Amazing work gentleman!
incredible project
That's was amazing!
This right here is why I think 3D Printing is a worthwhile thing
amazing project
love from sudan .. u just gives us hope we were about to surrendr our dream on 3D printing due to the cost .. love you guys
and to pay back we will make our models available for the world for free
I did this in Colombia for animal phrostetics, AMAZING design guys, amazing, congrats. BIG BIG FAN.
Great stuff, in progress converting an artillery based on your build, now I have something to do once thats done. Not sure on electrics cost or availability in Rwanda but they must be up there considering the filament example . Make me curious if the elecs could be done via basic ramps and shield setup if easier to access and cheaper? Again good stuff!
Great project! Just joined your discord.
I've been looking for something like this,
In combination with the flakes compatible filament extruder you could recycle just about anything
Thanks 👍
This is good news 👍👍
thinking about building a few these, and a few other similar machines, this could help me save a lot of money that i could be spending on more important things.
Woooww good job brothers
Yo swal this is great! Just be careful of plastic fumes from pet bottles eh.
Im thinking of making the lite. Then using filament from that to make the bigger one. Is there a way to splice together the plastic strips to make a full spool?
Congrats on the win, well deserved! 👏
Amei o projeto
What if I need this for pellets or shredded pieces from supports or failed prints?
hi can i use the same setup to melt my old stock of 3mm reels to reduce it to1.75mm and re use it again, kindly advise
Is the discord still available? Im super eager to build my own !! 😆
How do I get to purchase the polyformer in lagos , Nigeria? Great work here . Welldone and thank you for sharing
"Introducting, the recycling bin."
i would like to just buy one any idea where i can buy one built
Were can we get one if these machines
They are not the first, but theirs looks the coolest 😂
Where can I find this machine? I would love to get this for my dad as a birthday present!
hola están los planos en autocad o solid work?
Is there a way i can buy It alredy made? Because this Is the best extruder i've found so far
Nice one.
Is it possible to create a continuous filament with bottles of different colors? For example, alternate colors of green Pet with transparent Pet, etc. And thus form a spool of 1kg.
i saw a guy who drew squiggles on the transparent bottle with sharpie then put it through and the color transferred
I'd like to build one of these but the discord link is invalid. Any way I could get the link?
Congrats on winning the Dyson award
How much does it cost for that filament maker and where can I get it from please..?
Where can I buy one?
How do I make this or buy this?
But where can I get the machine
Where can i buy this?
So I can buy a machine or make it myself and if there is there like schematics
Can we order this and ship to Philippines?
show!
How can l buy one..
Can you print collapsing swords with it?🙏❤️
La idea es muy buena, ya tengo la maquina, pero lo malo, muy malo es la falta de intrucciones para su armado, el kit viene sin ensamblar, de verdad que uno cree que es sencillo pero sin instrucciones es muy complicado
Can I buy one of the machines
Hey Swal, I'm currently working on creating your conveyor belt printer. Along with that, I'm making my own pet bottle to filament machine, that feed directly into the printer (th-cam.com/video/uoHukwkupF8/w-d-xo.html). I have heard that when you make your own filament this way, it may not always be exactly 1.75mm. I have found an example on how to make a filament diameter sensor (th-cam.com/video/RYgdLPe_T0c/w-d-xo.html) but I'm not sure how to go about trying to hook this up to my Artillery Hornet. As it looks pretty hard to access the electrical and computing components inside the printer. I'm wondering if you would have any if advice on how to go about this.
Thank you, I love what you're doing. Your conveyor belt printer is what convinced me to get a 3d printer.
where is the 3d files so i can make it i payed for the parts
I have been trying to do this for 2 weeks. They don't say the exact size of the tape in the videos. They don't say the thickness is right. or they don't say the temperature right. every video is the same. they don't say the main thing is that it's a pity. what do you think is the reason?
Because they won the award for something other people invented years ago. This is nothing new.
@@JT-rl4ki Of course, but it is not so difficult to say small projects. Sooner or later, I found it, but for 2 weeks, my nerves were strained due to inaccurate information in this format. this is envy)))
@OSHE Hi, please check out the discord link: discord.gg/Z2XpPyb3. Here you can find all of the information you need to build a polyformer, along with a large community of people that will help you with your build! The videos are just meant to promote/explain the project. Maybe in the future we can do a build video if enough people want one?
@@JT-rl4ki we were both inspired by recreator3D and Joshua Taylor who personally advised us on PET bottle recycling. There are many innovations in Polyformer from the adjustable bottle cutter, to the sinusoidal drivetrain, to polyformer-lite. I encourage you to checkout the discord for more info on the unique design: discord.gg/Z2XpPyb3. This is an open-source project so we absolutely want people to take the design and iterate on it for new machines!
@@JT-rl4ki respectfully it is a bit harsh and dismissive to say there is nothing new here. We have put in significant engineering work to make this project possible. As this is an open-source project, we want other people to take these designs and push them even further! Like it would be cool to make a smart adjustable bottle cutter that automatically measures bottle thickness and adjusts the strip cutting depth accordingly.....
Bro can I buy this
Please if You want help, let me know
Has anyone tried to use this with HDPE bottles, like milk jugs?
Can I buy your product
It's open sourced means the information to build is free and online
where do i buy i will pay $120
Can ya send me one I got so many bottles plus only drink bottle water. I'll send ya free filaments 😂😂
Might be a good idea to give credit to the the person who actually originated this idea which you refined further.
Hi sir! Yes we have always given credit to all other PET bottle recycling projects, as shown on our Hackaday page: hackaday.io/project/185304-polyformer-ideal-filament-recycler/details and JDA entry. In particular, we are thankful to Joshua Taylor from recreator3D who spent a lot of time directly advising/mentoring both Reiten and me.
This is the beauty of open-source projects! Over the past year, we have seen an explosion in PET bottle recycling machines because all of these projects are contributing to and improving each other. There are lots of cool design improvements with Polyformer and Polyformer-Lite and we hope they improve future bottle recycling machines in the pipeline!
You could share your award with them too.
@@JT-rl4ki yes of course this is already part of our plan! We want to compensate all of the community members that built the early version of the Polyformer. This project is only successful because of strong community support.
97 plastic bottles in a year??? That's sum American thing or something I've only used 5 so far and it's September 🤣
Everything in America uses plastic wrapped in plastic or bottled in plastic
