Mark, I liked the video very much. I have to say a few things. Israeli food is influenced by many countries from which Jews arrived. My grandparents came from Morocco, they brought with them a Moroccan Jewish kitchen, different but similar to the Moroccan Arab kitchen. Not all the food presented here represents Israel, of course. There is a lot of Arab food here, which we eat in neighboring countries. For example, the falafel that came from Egypt, the hummus from Syria and Lebanon...In short, Israel combines a diverse kitchen, with traditional Arab food on the one hand, which will not change for hundreds of years. And there is the Jewish / Israeli food that was directly affected, both from the countries from which Jews came and from the local food. It is important to note that during the period when Israel was called Palestine, Jews lived alongside Arabs and all were called Palestinians. To this day, despite the political situation in Israel, Jews and Arabs live side by side, work together, eat together and share food with one another. So please those who do not know anything about Israel, stop all the political statements and come visit, maybe you will learn something you did not know. Peace .

It's a must try. Anyone wants to tour around some of the best foods here in Israel are welcome to message me. 😂✌️

Mark, if you are reading these comments, 3 years after you did the video, you've pulled some heart strings! HaBasta, the cherry salad! It looked amazing, so I did a google search on it. It's called Lali Salad, invented by a young woman from Kibbutz Ma'ale HaHamisha (The Summit or Hill of the Five). Apparently sweet cherries were first planted in Israel at Ma'ale HaHamish, and that's where the salad originated. It was/is "my" kibbutz. I had family there, and I spent 3 summers there picking peaches, sweeping small factories, but there were no cherry trees in the early 70s. Amazing memories brought back half a century later, by a neat Asian guy hanging out in a very non Kosher restaurant in Tel Aviv. Thank you! (PS, make the salad, it's easy to find on google)
Working for an Israeli company, I’ve had a few opportunities to visit Israel and Tel Aviv. With the pandemic, my travels have been on hold and miss my coworkers and visiting. This video is sort of a,’comfort food’ for me to watching the meantime. Thank you.

Other groups in the Middle East adopted it later on. books.google.com/books?id=KjuYCgAAQBAJ&pg=PT26&dq=“origins+have+been+traced+to+the+christian+copts+of+egypt”&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwijtcmj6KToAhUEWK0KHQpiD2wQ6AEIJjAA#v=onepage&q=“origins%20have%20been%20traced%20to%20the%20christian%20copts%20of%20egypt”&f=false

It is ironic that i saw an Abu Hassan in Tel Aviv and no Israeli in Middle East. And yet they call these guys fascists and zionists. What freaking nonsense.
Yes 2 million arabs live in Israel. Only few jews live in arab countries.
Shalom Mark! If I only knew you're here in Israel, would love to join your food trip. I agree, Abu Hassan has the best hummus in town. My other favorite is Sabich Sholomo and Doron in Carmel Market. Of all the steeet foods here in Israel, Sabich is my favorite and two of my favorite spot of Sabich aside from Tchernichoisky are Sabich Oved in Givatayim and Sabich Frishmen in Dezengoff st., corner Frishman st.
A must try resto here in Tel Aviv, IMO is the Old Men and the Sea, where you'll be treated to more than 20 plus Mediterranean salads and fresh seafoods. Authentic Arabic sweets and coffee after. It's a must try. Anyone wants to tour around some of the best foods here in Israel are welcome to message me. 😂✌️
sabich is from iraq you absolute phony. pure orientalism at it's finest. Why go there when I can go to an arab country and try actual middle eastern food?
imo, the old man and the sea is expensive and overrated.. but it is an experience.
@@AB-en9pl you are an absolute tool, Jews fled from Iraq to Israel from late 19th century to mid 20th century - Sabih is from their heritage, it is still Iraqi origin.. prepared by Iraqi descendants. it also said so in the video that sabih is originally iraqi
so why you cry so much?
Wow!! Mark, you have really warmed my heart, seeing you eat at some great places in my home town. Pity that I didn't meet you !! I would have taken you to my favorite eateries...Well, maybe next time :)
As I watch this video, I realize how blessed I really am here in America. I have had many of this food just in a a different form. I thank God humbly today because I see His love has not restricted me from flavors around the world, as I have them here at home. I look forward to traveling to these places with a friend one day, because I know that is too much food at once for me. HAHA!! Thank you so much for these nice videos.
The food looks so fresh. A shame the western world has become so reliant on processed ready meals that can be weeks old.
Leaving the US to other countries you can definetly taste the difference! Even vegetables/fruits taste so much better
Or, you know....
You can cook your own food in the US. If you spent less time trying to show how "woke" you are on TH-cam, you may have more time to make fresh food, like my wife and I do at home most nights.
I hope you earned points for your Tumblr account with this post......

I must say that I have underestimated jewish cuisine. This looks incredibly appetizing
What fabulous food! I wasn't interested in seeing Tel Aviv particularly, until now.
Wowwwwww...... I guess I'm getting Mediterranean food today...... from the local Mall Food court, 😅OMG 😲
GOD BLESS YOU, your wife & your son, Mark ✌🏽
Omg Israel! love it
❤❤❤❤❤ Outstanding ... Thank you, David. ...Wow, I want to book a flight immediately... Thank you for an excellent journey "Tel Aviv Food Tour - BEST Sabich, Hummus, and Lamb Pita - Middle Eastern Israeli Food"
Unbelievably epic destination coupled with great food. Thank you for sharing.
You and a couple other channels make me NEED to travel the world for a good tour.
I'm always starving after one of ur videos! U eat with such passion! 😀
Tried Sabich once. Fell in love with it
My mouth was watering as I remembered the taste of a Jasmino kebab. Truly the best place in Israel, maybe the best pita/sandwich in the world.
Working for an Israeli company, I’ve had a few opportunities to visit Israel and Tel Aviv. With the pandemic, my travels have been on hold and miss my coworkers and visiting. This video is sort of a,’comfort food’ for me to watching the meantime. Thank you.

God is The Hebrew God. Not Arab God. The God of Israel is The LORD. He sent Jesus to die for our sins and give us eternal life. Jesus died then rose and ascended into heaven.

Keep enjoying life.
I'm absolutely falling in love with middle eastern food.
I live in California and my body has been craving REAL food.
This food makes me feel like im eating actual food, that's natural and clean.
I'm sick and tired of the deep fried processed BS they try shoving down our throats.
I'm so excited to make this.
Muslim and Jews are brothers like their food culture. Stay together happily.
No we are not, we will never be. We were brothers when Moses was alive. But now...
Not really, they'll always hate each other. I just wish the West would stop intervening and stay out of Middle Eastern regional politics. Not our business.
since you are a humble person so wherever you go you will meet nice and kind people
Pregnancy cravings brought me here! That hummus looks insanely delicious!
Liked the vedio...... especially the veg sandwich......yummm......take care and be safe......god bless
