As a person who lost friends in the October 7 bombing of a musical festival, both Islamic and Jewish friends I feel that it is important to take a step back and not bring politics into this. Look at both sides please.. these people were at a festival of music. Hamas bombed them, they also abducted them. Some abducted have come home many have not, particularly women and children. others have been beheaded publicly. Both sides are suffering because radical extremists have chosen, yes chosen to use citizens as targeted collateral. To me that is unacceptable from either side. Islam does not accept homosexuality, it also states from Mohammad that women can be beaten by their husbands and fathers. This is way to complicated to just say , eating a meal, that I have eaten for over 50 years is a political statement. Please remember all of these people no matter what religion or creed are people. They are all someones child, parent, cousin etc. Please remember this when you state your stand .. Many people lost family from both sides, there is no right here.

I can’t wait to try the recipe. Full disclosure: I’m a Christian daughter of Abraham. May God bless you!
Palestinians already have a land of their own. A lot of it has been taken from them. Foodcrops destroyed. Houses destroyed. Lands confiscated. Refugees in their own country. Concentrated in camps. Children murdered in the name of self defence.

@sarahgates6947 I got a huge 16 L container from Al Ard products. I'm not sure if they still have olive oil from last year's harvest, but I'd recommend trying their products. I had the honor to try truly fresh high-grafe olive oil at a restaurant I worked at... I couldn't believe the difference. I feel like markook should be easy enough to make (well, smaller versions), but I feel like a couple sheets of phyllo dough (with brushed oil between) would be better than tortillas. My kids love "finger foods," too and I know they will enjoy this-- especially with the special dip!
Can't wait to make! 😊 ❤
I made your chicken musakhan recipe earlier this year & used it to fill a filo pastry pie and it was incredible! Prob the best chicken dish I’ve had & my 1st opportunity to taste sumac - you’re absolutely right that these flavours should be up there with the classics, can’t wait to make the musakhan rolls too, many thanks 🤩
Someone should make these for our (US) government officials to remind them that Palestinians are humans worthy of consideration and protection.
Hi, as a Tunisian guy (living in Germany), just want to say that I did this yesterday for my family and it was epic. First time I cook a Palestinian dish and use Sumac. Today I am trying the Egyptian Shawarma 🙃
Free Palestine!
That message was brilliant.. The madness must end globally
Absolutely. Free Palestine
Thank you for sharing this. I have never eaten it before. I’ve just finished making the sauce while I wait for the rolls to crisp up. It smells divine! We just ate a little sample of what didn’t end up in a roll. Delicious! Especially with the sauce. It really is the perfect combination.
Cheers from outback Australia 🇦🇺
Sending Lots of love from Pakistan ,Freedom for Palestine 🇵🇰 ❤️ 🇵🇸
Oh, this man is my love. Best of youtube culinary teacher. Thank you so much for your work!
I appreciate you and i am so excited to try these. 🍉 Thank you for sharing this recipe!
Even if you don't make these roll ups, just preparing the chicken that way sounds fantastic!
Lovely recipe, thank you for the share! God bless and protect Palestine! prayers from Slovakia 🙏
I'm new to sumac as an ingredient. In my recipe dive, this is the first Palestinian dish I've seen (although I've seen several similar uses with chicken). That confit of onion? I can really appreciate the utility and flavor profile. Genius. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for this absolutely delicious looking recipe, completely new to me. And for your vocal support for the people of Palestine
Those look DELISH!!! I am blessed with a couple of awesome Mediterranean grocers in my city.. I am going to make these. I love sumac! Thankyou for sharing! 😬👍🇨🇦❤️
This looks AMAAAAAAZING and I can't wait to try it. Over the last couple of months, I have been making Palestinian dishes for events...whether it is a Karate tournament party, a bake sale, or just as a gift to drop off to people I know who (due to media misinformation and other such propaganda) support Israel.
If you have not seen Taidgh Hickey's videos here on TH-cam, look them up. Matthew Lieb is another good one.
I forgot to mention that I include a small card with each serving that outlines the situation and provides resources for more information or ways to help. I can go onto my PC later and copy/paste the text on these cards and post it here, if anyone would like to print and pass them out to people. ❤
These look amazing! That crunch put it over the top!
🌈Peace in Gaza and freedom for Palestinian people cannot come soon enough. - from an American w Jewish heritage.
Thank you very much for sharing this recipe. I did eat these for first time in a Lebanese restaurant, and yes they are very good.
Thank you for using your platform this way 💘
You’re a legend for calling out support to Palestinians
Growing up in Jordan we ate Musakhan but I only once had it as rolls like this at a family camp we went to one summer about 25 years ago....it was my very favorite way to eat musakhan...I have been craving it recently and thinking about making the rolls so was very happy to see this recipe recommended. I am also thinking I may be able to adapt and us a rotisserie chicken because I like to buy a rotisserie chicken at times to cook with but as a single person it can take me quite a few meals to eat it all so I am always thinking of new ways to use it.
Tlazokamatli - Thank You my beautiful brotha for being a huge voice for our sistarz & brothaz in Gaza, we see them, we honor them and we will continue to demand a cease fire in Gaza. I also appreciate you sharing such delectable Palestinian cuisine; I’m looking forward to trying this recipe.
✊🏾🖤💚🤍❤️✌🏾
i make this in the oven all the time... will have to try the rolls. LONG LIVE PALESTINE!
I'm so happy to see your continued support for our Palestinian brothers and sisters! Also, musakhan is spectacular!
I’ve been supporting the people of Palestine for a very long time. Thank you for using your platform to support them. ❤
I‘m so in love with Levantine food. I have to make it!
