Same, in particular, I disliked Tamara's bits because it made no sense why she was down there to begin with. The theif? I get. The grieving father? Eh, not exactly, but because people believe the manner of death is enough, I can let that slide. But Tamara??? All she did was get in a toxic relationship, and tried to leave
@@colleen4ever hm, fair. Tbh I'm not religious myself so I don't know the ins and outs of things like that. But, since I am a writer, I see suicide as something that isn't an automatic ticket to Hell unless you did something completely seperate from that to deserve Hell in the first place (such as mass murder for example)
@@angel2.077 Depending on the branch of Christianity, suicide is seen as the same thing as murder (because you're taking a life, and you, a mere mortal, have no right to take a life) except a murderer can seek forgiveness while a suicide victim is already past that point. No it's not fair, but neither is "you go to hell for being a good person while believing in the wrong god." Also, the creator of this musical Darrin-whatever is a misogynist. Like not even trying to hide it. He specifies in some interview that Tamara's character is punished for "being a victim all her life."
Not gonna lie: I didn’t watch this channel much, but every video I did check out made me smile. Glad to see Diva get the ending she deserved! I hope Donna still visits her sometimes! Good luck, Christi, wherever life takes you! 🖤
Thank you, Christi (and Diva of course). Thank you for the laughs, the genuine commentary and critiques and for opening my eyes to and helping me appreciate musical theatre as a whole thanks to the Know the Score and At The Source series. I always wanted to get more into musical theatre, but as a person who does better with visuals than with audio, I had no idea where to start getting into musicals. Your channel (and eventually channels like WaitInTheWings) helped me to appreciate and understand musical theatre as a whole, and for that, I’m forever grateful. Also, for the record, I believe the composer’s last name is pronounced “Za-dune-itch”

I'm gonna miss this series. I've been watching it since high school. I remember watching your Hi-Tops review a few weeks into my senior year and watching your older reviews, like From Justin to Kelly after I graduated during the pandemic. I actually watched your MHTV episode on that weird Mulan movie last night. I'm just glad I got to witness it. You've introduced me to many songs and movies that I still go back to today, and for that, I'm greatful.

A fitting finale for the judge, jury, executioner, and so forth of damned musicals. Thank you Diva for putting a smile on many people’s faces in Paradise, Inferno, and on Earth!
I was really worried by the comments that this was going to be some big, overdone goodbye to everything…and I hate long goodbyes. But the comments are right, thanks for all the laughs and the put downs and the upliftings of all the musicals you’ve covered. I’m curious to see what happens next. And I hope it won’t take too long for human Diva to stop walking like Torgo XD
This series has been so inspirational to me and it has made me laugh, enjoy and think about theratre and musicals, I hope that when my video game biased on musicals comes to light, I will have musical hell to help make that dream come true, thank you Diva and Christi
Thank you so much for this series. I have watched your reviews for years and it’s brought me, my brother, and my sister together multiple times to laugh at some terrible musicals. Thank you for these memories, you might not have a million followers but you definitely changed the lives of my family for the better. You know, I remember feeling sad when you first said you were planning on ending the show. I didn't want to think about it, because I enjoyed the show ever since I found it. However, as you got closer to the finale, I found myself looking forward to it. Not because I was getting bored with the series, but because it meant that Diva was going to get her last moment of character development, allowing her (and the audience) to get some much-needed closure. I was kinda counting on her to meet with Donna one last time in the series, then get lifted up to Musical Heaven, but only half of my prediction came true. Oh well, it's still a nice ending. More importantly, the episode's message is true: At the end of the day, we can rise up from our shortcomings if we really want to. Donna hinted that moral to Diva during her first appearance six years ago. It just finally came full circle. I know I've said a lot, but I just like how well this episode worked as a conclusion to the series. Christi (and Diva), thank you. It was great to watch you, Donna, the baliff, and everyone you collaborated with over the years. I'll miss seeing a new trial every month, and I may not have been around from the beginning, - here, I don't even remember what the first episode I saw was - but I'm glad to have been part of the journey. I'll be sticking around to see what you do next with that second chance.
I'm filled with sheer unadulterated joy that you're covering this!!! And also heartbreak that it's over!!! It's been a hell of a run and I've enjoyed watching you take down terrible musicals immensely! Thank you for the wonderful years of content! I'll be re-watching for many more!
"It may really have something." Oh, but it does, dear Diva. As both a personal recommendation and a last send-off to one of my favorite TH-cam channels, I point you to two shows; Helluva Boss and Hazbin Hotel. They are each very well-written musical series' featuring characters that, design-wise, Diva would actually fit in with nicely and also topped off with a circus-theme for Hell as well as fuzzy implications about Heaven; like this movie, but better. For those looking for just a preview, I recommend a search for either "Moxxie's Bad Trip" for Hellva Boss or "You Didn't Know" for Hazbin Hotel. View them on your own time, Christie, they're both awesome!
I would like to thank you for all the work you’ve done in Musical Hell. You have a keen mind, a sharp wit and you never pull your punches when analyzing bad musicals. All journeys must end and I loved both. 😊❤
Your reviews have gotten me through so many bad times. They’re an ultimate comfort watch when I’m feeling down. I knew they couldn’t go on forever, but I’ll miss them either way. Thank you so much for all your hard work and dedication. I’ll be sticking around for what comes next! ❤
Congrats on the Finale Diva! Happy to join the chorus of praise because Musical Hell is genuinely one of the best musical review series on the site! Thanks for the laughs & no doubt I’ll be returning to this playlist & channel again & again for the same
If I'm being honest, you'd be a perfect teaching tool for writing and directing musicals, Diva. You at least know more than others right now. It's sad to see you go, but it's always been said that all good things must come to an end; Here's to you, this twelve-year experiment, and all the wonderful insanity we've shared with you, and let's look forward to the next twelve for whatever else you've got planned, Diva!
Goodbye Diva, it’s hard to believe that after so many years, Musical Hell has ended. Thank you so much for all the laughs, insight and your own passionate love and knowledge of musicals that you have shared with us, it inspired me to get into Hamilton, In The Heights, Dear Evan Hansen, Be More Chill, and a lot of Team Starkid’s work. Whatever comes next for you or your channel, we will support you every step of the way, so enjoy your new mortal life with your daughter, Diva, you’ve earned it.
Wow… it’s over. It’s really over. I’m going to miss Musical Hell so much. I came across an episode a few years ago, and I was hooked. This series is what made me love musicals, and honestly, kinda makes me regret not growing up a theater kid. Thanks for everything, Christi!
I'm glad that Diva has found meaning, joy, and even redemption in these past 12 years of being subjected to terrible movie musicals. I can't think of a better song to go out on. Now for the typical kind of comments. 3:45: Some movies have a combination of artistic vision and freedom from practical limitations that lets them get away with telling story with atmosphere alone-or, depending on artistic prowess and audience interpretation, telling a story that's all atmosphere. The Devil's Carnival looks less like an imaginative dreamscape and more like an unusually high-budget community theater production. Which isn't a problem-community theater is good, not cringe-but it means they can't really get away with using aesthetics as a major pillar of the storytelling. 11:50: Grief weakens if you stop being sad? Yes, and the best way to stay alive is to not die. Thank you for your insight, Aesop.
Thank you for everything, Diva. You introduced me to theatre and while I never got to be a theatre kid, I'll be a theatre adult for the rest of my life. Thank you.
Thank you, Diva. You're content has always been wonderful. Not only did you bring a laugh, but you educated as well. You'll be missed. Appalachian Spring - a good choice to end with.
Love you Diva, sad to see the series end but regardless love your work! I was a big fan of this series and followed the history behind it Check out the sequel Alleluia, it isnt too bad. There was supposed to be a third film that would serve as the finale and delve into more of the history of the Boss Man and the Big G himself buuuuuut that fell apart because of mismanagment and Zdunich. Seriously the development story of this series is pretty interesting read, ANYWAYS, thank you for the years of laughter Cant wait to see what you do next!
As someone who's been watching since the beginning (heck, before the beginning since I saw the pilot version of the first episode) it is kinda sad to see Musical Hell come to an end. And hard to believe it's been 12 years, time moves so fast these days. And I'm sorry I never got round to starting my own review series since I was hoping to do some crossovers, ah well.
This was fitting for a last episode. I felt weirdly emotional at the end. Thanks for the years of smile, laughter and discoveries. Farewell to Diva and good luck getting used to your feet.
Diva has a solid segue into HElluva Boss and Hazbin Hotel with the exposition regarding such things in this film regarding redemption, etc. Kind of like Mark Twain's Mysterious Stranger in a weird way, just with the devil being more heroic....or anti heroic as it is
I'm sad that this is it. But I'm happy that I got to see you through this journey. Thanks, Siva. ...Still bummed we're never going to get Wish, though.

I’m so glad to have known you and to have had these videos to look forward to during some particularly hard times over the years! My first Musical Hell video was Happily Ever After, which really drew me into this channel. I couldn’t get enough. It even introduced me to films and musicals I didn’t know existed. This was another pleasant experience. I’d never seen Repo, but I heard things and now my interest truly is piqued. It’s sad this is the finale, but I’m confident in what the future holds. Thank you for all you’ve done, Diva. Thank you for the videos and reviews. It makes my day a little less… hellish? Nope, too cheesy. Either way, you’re made of awesomeness.

It's probably the brain rot talking, but when I was watching this, I couldn't help but be reminded of the Hellaverse (specifically Hazbin Hotel with the theme of demons going on the path to redemption towards Heaven.)
Man, I can't believe this is ending. I remember discovering this channel in middle school and having the videos on in the background while doing homework. I found some new musicals to listen to between this and Know the Score, and even become fans through it. I'm really going to miss this channel.
'Tis a gift to be simple, 'tis a gift to be free, 'Tis a gift to come down where we ought to be, And when we find ourselves in the place just right, Twill be in the valley of love and delight.' A perfect send-off for a fun little series, a lovely counterpoint to Danse Macabre. Might I suggest "Musical Heaven" where you profile musicals you enjoyed? Even ironically? Just a thought.
It's taken me awhile to get around to this episode. I found this channel just before my older sister ended her life and this then became a crutch to help me get through things. In particular, the episode of The Apple. It was my most rewatched, to the point where I watched the actual movie and wrote an essay on its failure to appropriately market its campiness. Thanks Diva, I loved it all!

I think the very Musical Hell video I watched was your case on Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer: The Movie. While I wasn't a religious watcher at that point, I got into your channel more in 2016 with your cases on Annie (2014) and Thumbelina. Thanks for doing Musical Hell for 12 years.

You made each month for me. I'll miss you. 😭
I can't believe there won't be anymore Musical Hell, but you have to do what's best for you.
You've been wonderful, and glad the card worked out. I don't think there's anything else left to say but this...
So long... farewell... auf wiedersehen... goodbye...
Oh I'll still be around.
@@MusicalHell I know, but it is the end of an era.
😭😭
OHMIGOD ITS OVER!?
Farewell, Diva.
It was... an incredible honor to be part of your audience. Thank you so much, Diva, for everything.
oh wow, as someone who actually enjoyed repo a ton but HATED devils carnival, this is a treat
also, this series has been one of the very few things on youtube i’ve followed for pretty much the whole time and loved all of, thank you so much for sticking with it all this time and making all these videos that i still think about. can’t wait to see what’s coming next
Me too! I looked forward to it every month! Sniff....I'll miss you. :( 😭
@@angel2.077 Many people believe suicide is a mortal sin cause you're breaking the 5th Commandment on yourself.
No it's not fair, but neither is "you go to hell for being a good person while believing in the wrong god."
Also, the creator of this musical Darrin-whatever is a misogynist.
Thanks for the laughs Diva. You'll be missed.
Wait, you're leaving? Huh, that Oogieloves review must've hit harder than I thought. Well, while it is a shame I never got the chance to collab with you (partly due to my crappy budget), it was a fun ride while it lasted. I'm glad I was here to see through to the end. Ra-speed, Christi!
Nah she had said in another review that it was Music
@@bigbearkat2010 do you remember witch one?
@@Orsonfoe I want to say Saturday Warrior
Hey Christi…. Thanks 💜
An old quote, but always fitting.
Don't cry because it ended.
Smile because it happened.
What a way to go out with Musical Hell
It’s been a pleasure watching you, Diva
Here’s to the next video!
End of an era! Thanks for everything Christi!
Fitting that the last Musical Hell being about going to Hell. Been a Hellva ride, goodbye Diva.
You've introduced me to many songs and movies that I still go back to today, and for that, I'm greatful.
do jury sequestrations usually last twelve years in hell?
jokes aside, thanks for the laughs. you have no idea how much joy and comfort a musical hell episode can bring on a rough day. they're a highlight of my month, and always even better on rewatch. i'll miss diva (and donna), but she's more than earned the chance to take a step out of the courtroom. :)
excited to see what comes next, Christi!
From stumbling across a From Justin to Kelly review to this point.
I can’t believe how this happened, and I’m glad it did
Thank you Christie, good luck in any future project you have on the horizon
The end of a long, 12 year era… …and a whole lot of good memories. Seriously loved tuning in and I’m going to miss it all.
Farethewell Diva! May your future endeavors be bright!
I wish we had gotten a case for that bizarre anime version of Jack and the Beanstalk….
Or Santa and the Ice Cream Bunny, or Christmas Story Live.
I thought she did Christmas Story Live or was that someone else?
A fitting finale for the judge, jury, executioner, and so forth of damned musicals. Thank you Diva for putting a smile on many people’s faces in Paradise, Inferno, and on Earth!
Farewell, Diva. This channel has been one of my faves. Thank you for all the laughs.
What a wild ride it's been. See you around, Diva.
I am going to hold back from watching this for now as I want to be able to watch it with my siblings altogether one last time ❤
Awww no I have tears in my eyes. 😭 Thank you for everything you’ve done diva/Christi! For 12 years I’ve loved watching your videos and reviews, and I’m really gonna miss this series a lot. Thank you for everything, and enjoy your 2nd chance. ❤❤❤
It really feels like an era of the internet is ending
You will be missed Diva
I'll miss this show. Even though I'm not a musical guy, it did teach me on what not to do.
Aww, all good things come to an end, including good things about bad musicals. Thank you for the series, lots of good memories!
Diva. You should be more than proud of this thing you created. Thank you for all the laughs.
Congrats on the Finale Diva! Happy to join the chorus of praise because Musical Hell is genuinely one of the best musical review series on the site! Thanks for the laughs & no doubt I’ll be returning to this playlist & channel again & again for the same
So long Diva thank you for all the memories of your reviews of musical films! Your legacy will never be forgotten!
Farewell Diva. You've gave us so much. Have a safe retirement
As Charlie Morningstar says "It starts with sorry"
Thanks for the quality entertainment!
Hell has runneth over.
I was a big fan of this series and followed the history behind it
Check out the sequel Alleluia, it isnt too bad. There was supposed to be a third film that would serve as the finale and delve into more of the history of the Boss Man and the Big G himself buuuuuut that fell apart because of mismanagment and Zdunich. Seriously the development story of this series is pretty interesting read,
ANYWAYS, thank you for the years of laughter
Cant wait to see what you do next!
Farewell Diva, it's been fun!
Thank you for being part of my video-based therapy during the pandemic, Diva! I will miss your insights on "The Meh, The Bad, and The Ugly". ❤
All things come and all things go. Memories are eternal. Thanks for everything Diva.
I will miss these episodes terribly much, but I am glad you are stopping when it makes sense to you and I hope you stay awesome, creative, and keep doing you!! Thank you for bringing us this lovely series.
Years ago we became tumblr mutuals on my old tumblr (I remember a fantastic post on The Court Jester that I still see circling to this day!), and we’ve been twitter mutuals for years now, too. I’m so glad to have known you and to have had these videos to look forward to during some particularly hard times over the years! You have been a bright spot in so many lives, and an example of a TH-camr I have learned a lot from. In many ways, this channel has been just as informative as any Communication Arts of Media Literacy class! I’ll miss the videos, but I can’t wait to go back and rewatch them when I need a smile. Thank you, Diva, for all that you’ve given us over the years. ❤🔥🎶
Thanks for the maladies, Diva. I love you. You were enjoyed, and I look forward to your next adventure!
It's a good thing I've got a can of beer in my hand. So I can say, "Cheers, Diva!" Thanks for all the laughs. Whatever comes next, hope there will be black and white public domain cat videos involved.
Well. Thanks for everything when it comes to this series Christi. Looking forward to what you've got planned for the future on this channel.
Well, damn. I didn’t know this was the end of musical hell. See you around Diva, I’ll look back on your archives to grieve. And weirdly you have no idea how much I needed a sappy second chances narrative ending right now.
It was a pleasure to be a member of your infernal court, Diva. See you on the other side!
This show meant EVERYTHING to me in high school, and I'm so sad to see it go! Thank you for everything, Diva!
I was in middle school when I first found your channel. Now I'm in my first year of uni. I always looked forward to your videos. I'm excited to see what comes next! It's not goodbye, rather we'll meet again. Happy 12 years!
It's probably the brain rot talking, but when I was watching this, I couldn't help but be reminded of the Hellaverse (specifically Hazbin Hotel with the theme of demons going on the path to redemption towards Heaven.)
The Devil’s Carnival is the Hellaverse if it was good
Omg I had the same thought! Haha. Charlie would be the one to pay for this movie.
Man, I can't believe this is ending. I remember discovering this channel in middle school and having the videos on in the background while doing homework. I found some new musicals to listen to between this and Know the Score, and even become fans through it. I'm really going to miss this channel.
'Tis a gift to be simple, 'tis a gift to be free,
'Tis a gift to come down where we ought to be,
And when we find ourselves in the place just right,
Twill be in the valley of love and delight.'
A perfect send-off for a fun little series, a lovely counterpoint to Danse Macabre. Music is a common thread through our experiences, like food and art, both the lovely and the wretched and all that falls between. I love that the common thread through all of these videos has been consistent laughs, thoughtful observation and witty self-awareness. It's been a pleasure, my dear. I look forward to seeing where you and your second pair of feet eventually land. 😁🙂😘🎵🎶
You were our gift, Diva!
Thank you for helping me getting me through many rough days
Diva, thank you for these videos. I really enjoyed your take on awful musicals (being a musical buff myself), and kudos to you doing this for twelve years. I look forward to seeing what you do next.
Thank you for all the awesomeness that was Musical hell. I'm a child of theater (my first role was at 5 as a Telegram deliverer) and your show was amazing. I have Devil's Carnival 2, and it has the opposite problem of this one. It's too long. Again thank you Diva.
Fare thee well, Diva! You're going to be very missed.
Happy Trails to you, until we meet again!
