What about electric car chargers on the island? Is there a provision and how many are there if any. Many thanks in anticipation.

Hi Chris, There are public electric vehicle charging sites at North Beach, Salerie and Odeon car parks, with one charging station at La Crocq Pier, St Sampson. All sites have two 7.2kw electric vehicle charging units and can be accessed by using the same app which can be downloaded by searching for Plug-N-Go/app. Users of the sites can also purchase a key fob from through the Plug-N-Go app to access the charging units, which means users can easily use the sites by two methods and access other charging stations within the publically available Plug-N-Go network. The Plug-N-Go app also shows locations of all sites that it manages.
      Hope this helps
      Thanks
      Ross

Going to Guernsey tomorrow and taking my fiesta good thing is I'm from Guernsey but I left when I Woz 11 years old 👍 but have been back in a hire car 5 years ago . With your refresh on Guernsey roads is brilliant and now no how to use the yellow boxes as I for got. if I remember rightly if a emergency vehicle is coming down a single line you must no how to reverse and find a spot for them to pass you is this still true.cheers for the video 👍🇬🇬

Great video and tips. It should be on visitguernsey and in every hire car company 😉
The only thing I would add it our zebra crossing are different. If someone is at a zebra crossing you have to stop and let people cross. Curtesy crossings however you don't. 😊

If you bring a motor bike over, they cannot park in clock zones , apart from in designated motor bike park areas. Many streets will have a small section for this. They do not require a parking clock.

Just returned from an enjoyable stay in Guernsey using a hire car. I found it to be a pleasure driving with everyone courteous and ample car parking. The hire car came with the timer clock and it was a small car which is advantageous as there are extra parking bays for cars under 3.7 metres long in St Peter Port with a ten hour limit. The only thing that confused me at first were the yellow arrows in the road. When I first saw one I thought I'd inadvertently gone up a one way street in the wrong direction.

A really helpful video Ross. Just a question about the parking clock discs, would a blue badge holder just be able to use their clock disc/with their badge as usual or would they have to get a clock disc for the island as well? Lovely to see St Martins again, still as beautiful as I remember 😊

Hi Susan, i think you may have to get a parking disc for the islands as well. Here is some info on it www.gov.gg/drivinginguernsey

    A very useful refresher.
It's important to stay within the white lines when parking in one of the disc zone car parks. This is/was made clear on the signs. It's also courteous as the Town car parks can be very busy and spaces are limited.

This video came at the right time for me as I'm in Gsy for the first two weeks of September in my campervan. I last drove in Gsy 20 years ago (hire car) so a refresher course was helpful, thank you.
