For anyone that doesn’t know by now, because of the Nintendo 64’s limited capabilities, Nintendo created lower poly versions of Mario that would appear when the camera was farther away, primarily to save rendering/processing power. Games still do this today, but it’s generally hidden much better with modern technologies.
My son & I have been watching these as we play through & he wanted me to post this message in the comments: I love all your videos even though I've only watched 5 of the games
Not to mention the ukiki/monkey keeps taking his hat yet he STILL keeps picking up the monkey lol. Then he keeps asking if he really needs the hat. Mario takes more damage without his hat, so yes Zack, you definitely need the hat because you're still terrible at controlling Mario lol.
Awesome let's play Super Mario 64 (Super Mario 3D All-Stars) Tall, Tall Mountain is the worst stage for me because of so much deaths but I got through from that and I am glad Zack got through from that as well

Just got all 120 stars. Felt really good doing 100%ing the game again! I dont want to scare you but the 100 coin stars in tik tok clock and rainbow ride are absolutely insane. Had a blast tho!
Try the double jump kick very helpfully in click tock clock and rainbow ride, your not missing any stars you should have 119 before entering the endless staircase. Good luck and die less on stage 12,13,14 & 15! Take your time too.

Zack there is another sm64 on the ds but it has a smoother camera in my opinion but also in the ds version of sm64 you need 150 stars but there are other characters like yoshi Luigi and wario
There are two Monkies on this stage. Losing Mario's hat on any stage is bad news. I note I was playing a stage, and suddenly noticed: No hat, I just hard reset the game, I was lucky, and restarted with hat. If you lose the hat and don't notice you'll have to retrace your steps 'til it is found, playing without the hat could be a challenge for those who want to make this game harder? But I'm still trying for a second completion, with previous one being done in 1997/8; commenting in 2021, For me the game is challenging enough without double damage.

I think he realizes it's just a game so he just has fun with it. Although I've heard him get a little mad but it is very rare.

I hate those stars! I've gotten 120 stars about a half dozen times since I got the game in 96, but those last couple stages in general just suck lol.
