Glad to know I'm not the only one who thought the lead vampire in the 30 Days of Night movie just looked like somebody's dad. This is now the third thing I agree the most with James on, the other two being what he said about the flashback version of John Connor in the original Terminator and what he said about that the guy playing Jack Napier in the flashback in Batman (1989).

I actually like these older commentaries better then the new ones most of the time. I've been on bigsandwich for months now, but if this keeps up I think I'm going to be forced to continue to support and enjoy the rest of your content while respecting the fact that your creative vision for this content might not be aligned with exactly what I'm looking for or the decisions I think I would make (which are unlikely to reflect the reality given I have no experience or understanding about what actually has to go into making this content), while being happy that this content is still being produced for the people who enjoy it (who are obviously the majority).

@@loganmatthews5956 I don't think the effects are that bad compared to other xmen movies of the time and I don't think 'silly' is a terrible thing for a franchise like x-men. The silliest thing is probably the Blob fight, but he's the blob...

@@loganmatthews5956 feels like the star wars prequels. I stood by those while they were hated since release. Only in the last 5 years has popular opinion shifted to 'flawed but fun'

Apparently, Australia never had MST3K (Mystery Science Theater 3000 - A tv show from 1990 for 13 or so seasons… somewhere abouts).
Or RiffTrax (the Cast of MST3K doing current movies after their series was canceled 20 or so years ago)

@@punkrockreverend2328 well, I think that might be 'explaining the obvious joke is the joke' - but Joel has often said that MST was just an expansion on what most everybody does while watching bad movies, it was more the quality of execution than the concept itself.

No, he's a mutate. Deadpool didn't have powers till he was subjected to experimentation. At least in the current movie and comic canon.
