- Some short clips of our day in the desert testing STI Tires, Works Chassis Labs engine hangers, and the Steahly flywheel weight. Visit championadventures.com to purchase the flywheel weight which is highly recommended for trail riders.
Derek Steahly from NV2 Suspension and Steahly Off-Road is going to dial in my 450L suspension and throw on the 7oz Steahly flywheel weight. I live locally in Medford, Oregon and met him and his family and they have an excellent reputation here in the Rogue Valley. I’m looking forward to him getting his hands on my bike to make it an even more capable off-road machine! Thanks for the videos Colton and as always we are cheering you on!
I'll have to try different engine hangars on my rm250 😅. Thanks for the info!
Thanks so much. Love the kids in the background BTW!
Can’t leave to “momoland” without my son 👍🏻
Vortex is a must!
dude are you in the stray cats or depeche mode?
No but I am Rick Rolls big brother
@@ChampionAdventures lol love it! and great video btw!
You should do a review of what tools you carry on the bike/self when your doing Mexico trips. I’m new to bike adventures. I’m coming from trucks and prerunning in built heavy vehicles.
Hey Tyler, thanks for the idea. New content is always needed. Congrats on the switch to two wheels. If you want to contact me via championadvenutres.com I would be happy to give you some personal tips. Maybe organize a ride to Baja in the future👍🏻
I absolutely love my 2018 crf450r for the desert..... for about the first 10 min the it works me lol have done lots of mods to it bust stil yet to make it enjoyable does the flywheel help making more usable??
Do you no if the 450RX cam will work in the 450RL-L,,,, if not what cam are you using?
Hey Udall I’m about to pull the trigger in a new suspension, what’s your opinion or differences in precision concepts vs AHM. I have a 2005 Crf450R with a Presicion C suspension but I’m kind of digging the AHM suspension for my 2020 Crf450x
Personally I think AHM suspension should be one of the first things you do to the bike. They’ve done extensive testing on these bikes and in my opinion have it dialed.
considering cutting the stock crossbar on my 450RL then put the pad back on. Thoughts?
We've got a video on how to do it. One of the older posts on this channel. Highly recommend
Any news on the weight. Has it had any issues long turm
Still run this flywheel with zero issues 👍🏻 Recommended to every customer also with no sponsor/or paid backing. Just a believer in the product.
Is there to much weight in it for mx track, if suspension is set up.
Hey Eric, we just recently raced a 24 hour mx race on the 450l (an x after all the mods) and have no issues with the weight of the bike. Our coolant kit removes 3lbs of “street requirement” components from the bike if you’re concerned. Also Scott Dimick sells a rear fender kit that drops weight as well.
@@ChampionAdventures thanks for the info much appreciated.
is this bike to heavy for single track
Actually the question is are you man enough to single track this bike?
@@gregporis294 no lol
No, I ride very tight/technical woods single track...rocks, roots, logs, 180 degree tight up and down hill hairpins, squeeze between trees not much wider than the bars at speed. It’s good, great when setup right.
Completely agree. With the right set up its an awesome trails bike.
