Thank you for a great video sharing your knowledge with us. Just a thought and you may get a second opinion. A solid conductor wire of the proper gauge that fits the connector port with a alligator clip on the other end should work fine for the ground jumper. I also believe any solid frame connection with the alligator clip will suffice for your grounding attachment point as any engine, frame contact is all part of the grounding side of the electrical system.
Hi Mike, I see a comment that may have been deleted. It mentioned you were still hearing the fuel pump fire when the key is turned on. It sounds like you dont have your wire grounded and the green wire needs to be pushed farther in. Hope you got it worked out.
Thanks for the informative video! I'll have to fiddle with my vortex now, lol. Wondering when your flywheel weight install video is coming out? Thanks again!
We prefer no spark arrestor screen unless it is needed for the area we are riding. The screen will create a little more back pressure which could make it feel slightly rich
Thanks for the detailed info regarding the Vortex. I am using 5 on first 3 and 2 or 4 on the map or x-dial at the end. My bike is idling extremely high when I take it out of gear or hold the clutch. I have already turned the idle adjust down considerably. Any other suggestions to get it to mellow out at stoplights?
We don’t have have a 2021 RL but it’s mostly the same as the 2019-2020. Each year Vortex gets more input and feedback so they could have improved their fuel map/ignition settings. The 5,6,7 settings can certainly be a safe starting position.
Mine is a euro bike. Got the Vortex but the ECU conector looks different, no red tabs in the unused pins. Don´t know if I should try the TPS reset this way or not
If your bike has a kill switch, you can use that. The wire mod is essentially grounding the ECU just like a kill switch. You’d need to research in your “service” manual for the euro bike.
What do you think about adjusting throttle free play before hand and when adjusting the free play what do think about having less of it or at least ensuring you hit the stop on full open to ensure the TPS is in tune with the butterfly?
Usually the cables have more adjustability beyond the butterfly/cam lob stop. So as long as your cables have free play in them when the butterfly is shut is all that matters. The hand throttle stops when the butterfly/cam lob hits the pin the throttle body.

Definitely need more informative videos like this!
Thanks, we’ll be working on it 👍🏻

great video. thanks for the valuable info. Moab here we come
Great info! Thanks!
Hmm, time to fatten up my FMF map 6 settings and see how it reacts. Lots of dry lake bed runs along w/ some highway is making me worry now ha.
Thank you for this. Subscribed to your channel, good stuff here.

Hi Dan, it’s on the list! I’ll try to get that out ASAP. It’s a really cool process and should be fun to watch.
Good video bro. Our 450L Facebook group loves you lol
send an invite to our page so we can join !
@@ChampionAdventures sent it bro
Thanks for the video...can't wait to try out these settings
Keep EM coming!
Very informative video! Are you running a spark arrestor screen in your PC silencer or wide open?

Good video thanks!!!
What does it do for your bike once you've reset the TPS? Also, do you use 5,6,7 on map one for a 2021 CRF450RL?

Great video! Should adjustments to fuel levels be made for altitude or does the ECU adjust for that automatically?
Adjust accordingly, it’ll be difficult to tune it perfectly but play with a few different settings for your area and see if fuel trim changes.
I.E if driving from Cali to Montana change the fuel mixture. If driving from San Diego to Big Bear then I wouldn’t bother.
Thanks. I live at 6.5k and normally ride at 9-12k. Currently set on 4,4,4. Haven’ t read the plug since putting the Vortex on.
Do you know of a plug and play starter button, I would like to save bart space also.. Wish I could on the left side as well
Show us how to do the on/off switch delete
It’s in the wiring and requires proper electrical tools and connectors. Or crafty soldiering.
@@ChampionAdventures I totally believe that. We would love to see the process.

You can Make vídeo To do start botón conection ?
I'm getting Like 38 mpg now after the vortex and yoshi
Can you program that vortex ecu to work with the stock exhaust
Will this work with the OEM ECU?
My crf 450l will not start My dashboard is messed up is that the reason my bike will not start?
Hey what's the advantage of doing the tps??

Does this work in the rl as well?
Yes, the RL is the same bike as previous 2019-2020 CRF450L
Do you need to do this every time you unplug the ECU? Thanks!!
No need to do this every time you unplug its learning the throttle position the first reset and there shouldn't be a need to do it again.
My bike fires up when trying to do this?
It means you don’t have the wires completely connected or grounded to the frame.
@@ChampionAdventures yes sir the wire wasnt all the way in there
Thanks so much!! What a fine instruction video
