Hey! Just a question, I take the ASVAB in less than a month and I was just curious, I'm very confident and strive in certain areas such as basic adding, subtracting, dividing, and multiplying. As well as fractions, area, etc. But I don't do well in certain areas, does this suggest that I would pass but not get a higher score than I would if I did well in those areas? Thank you for everything!
If you work through the videos in my Math Boot Camp playlist, you'll get a good feel for the test. Generally speaking, people who work through that playlist are exceptionally well prepared or the test! Here it is: th-cam.com/play/PLhlU-GzAQeG2ete7N8QjR2dDN_CaIH67z.html By the way, a month is plenty of time to make it through those videos and also improve on any topics with which you struggled. Good luck!
@@GrammarHero Do you have any suggestions on how much to study without burning yourself out and confusing yourself, getting frustrated, etc. I really want to get the most out of it and feel like I'm gaining progress. Progress = confidence.
@Chandler Clemons I don't usually get into discussions with people about burning out from studying too much, because each and every person is different. For instance, a college grad who has a degree in engineering will probably get a perfect score on the ASVAB without too much test prep whatsoever, whereas someone with a GED may have to put in more effort to pass. Beyond that, you can take a practice test in your recruiter's office and know more or less how you'll perform on the test right now. If you took that practice test in your recruiter's office and scored a 50 or above, then you know you'll almost certainly pass the test, which means you will be studying to max your score, not to pass the test. That said, if you do the following, you'll be good to go! Good luck! Imagine if I said that 1/3 of of a class got As on the test, and the rest of the class got Cs. To figure out the fraction of the class that got Cs, we would do this: 1 - 1/3 = 2/3. The same principle applies to number 11.
Still not understanding even with the comment where the 1 comes from what does the 1 that appear out of nowhere signifies in the word problem if it was never there it was included by you
Number six was an overcomplication, no? Could have just summarized every one glass is equal to 1/3 quarts and multiplied by 1/2. Or is that too big of a jump and in other situation will complicate?
You're welcome! Hopefully, people now realize how important it is to know how to add, subtract, multiply, and divide fractions and mixed numbers for the ASVAB! Once you know the fundamentals, these questions become pretty straightforward.
Thank you for uploading all this stuff for free. My AFQT score was 73. I go in to talk to my recruiter tomorrow!
Congrats on the great score, you're welcome, and I wish you the best if you join the military! Which branch are you try to join?

Did you end up joining the force ? I heard it’s when they want to put you in they will .

great refresher on fractions!
Questions
10) 25/4 * 3.14= 0.5024= 1/2
88/175 = 0.50.....
why answer is D?
Thank you
You made a mistake with your calculation there... it's 4/25, not 25/4 (which is what you wrote).
(4/25)(3.14) = .5024
D = 88/175 = .5028
@@GrammarHero Thank you so much.
Number 11. Idk how you came up with 1 if you can elaborate for me please..

10/10 many thanks
