    I like that the judge is letting everyone know up front who’s in charge and no foolishness will be tolerated. Great way to start because there’s a lot of big personalities involved in this case and it could get out of hand easily ✅

      @RPBSpeaks I absolutely agree, I feel like the judges have all gotten together and said "we need to set a tone, that the courts are in charge" since this is basically a class action without being able to convert into a class action, so it is extra messy overall.

      Spiro probably wins a lot of cases by excessive motion filing to wear down the other party and cause them to withdraw their accusation. I hate that kind of lawyering. It costs the woman money every time 2 lawyers and a judge have to read and respond to motions that have nothing to do with the accusations. The judge should exempt both parties from having to pay for two lawyers launching character attacks on each other in hopes that the one with the least amount of money can’t take the stress of watching their bill keep getting higher. No one can outspend JayZ. Spiro is playing dirty and I am glad the judge is on to him.

      I truly hope you never refer to yourself so harshly in the future. Firstly, you're not lowly. At all. Janitors are absolutely necessary to the betterment of our society, and most of you are hardworking, unseen people who do more than expected and keep businesses functioning. To do so at a hospital is an honorable position that helps do many people and, in the overall scheme of life, helps people to heal. How well do you think people would heal if trash was piled up everywhere or restrooms were filthy?
      As for age, it's a merely number that doesn't require a tribute. Meaning, you're here on LYK learning something new, expanding your mind, and developing new neurotransmitterswhile you listen, which helps to prolong your cognition in your later years.
      You should write out five positive attributes, whether they're about your beauty, intelligence, diligence, or whatever you admire and repeat them while standing in front of a mirror every morning when you wake up. You're worth it. 😊

Also liked that Peter read my mind at the end, wondering about the judge and whether or not she would have hesitancies/concerns considering the parties at play in this case. (Now I'm a bit curious to know what other cases this judge might have over-seen.)

And the example about judges who learned their craft originally from your dad, not taking it easy on him, because the process is ultimately sacred in most attorneys eyes helps give more confidence in our legal system, because like you said, there will always be people on the take accepting bribes, but hopefully those are exceptions, and not the rule.

    I'm glad this judge isn't going to have any shenanigans. With that being said, the fighting between the two lawyers is.... interesting.
    It seems Jay-Z has some things to hide. As much as he says to go to the police with the allegations, Jay-Z and his lawyer should let this play out in court if it's a nothing burger.

    • @MelkysBusiness
      @MelkysBusiness 5 วันที่ผ่านมา +7

      Why would a husband and father let the "court" that is not favorable to Black People/Men play out? He has to take a stand, fast and furious. He is being targeted. Period!!! I stand with the truth but the "victim" inconsistencies and her own father saying "this didn't happen" screams, take legal action to stop this mess before it goes further. Luckily, Jay Z is a billionaire and so is his wife and they can spend their funds fighting harassment and career-ending assault.

    It's so interesting that Jay Z chose to use his initial statement to attack the lawyer bringing the suit against him, instead of the issue or the plaintiff. It really smacked of muddying waters and diverting attention. His lawyers similar actions are the same. If they are so confident the claims are false, why not issue a short statement strongly refuting the allegations and then litigate the issue in Court, like normal people? They have turned it into a circus, very strange.

    • @melistasy
      @melistasy 4 วันที่ผ่านมา +6

      Good point, but i think they are careful not to go so hard on the potential r@pe victim, especially with the me too movement. It's easier and more socially acceptable to go after the lawyer, especially if you really believe there are no merits to the accusations.

She never told anyone not a friend, not a therapist not even her significant other? There are so many holes in this story like really? So does this mean anyone who has been in the presence of celebrities can now say they were raped just cause? This feels like a witch hunt?

    I understand not allowing the plaintiff's identity to be made public, but what is the legal rational for not revealing it to the defendant? If the defendant is guilty, they already know the plaintiff's identity so telling them changes nothing; if the defendant is innocent, they need to know the identity so they can prepare a defense.

      The government only needs evidence that Combs acted with another person. They can still go to trial with one conspirator at a time. Its possible that other conspirators are being given immunity to testify, or will be given immunity in exchange for testimony.
      It's also possible that Cassie is the co-conspirator. She did admit to picking the men for these parties. Too early to tell, but don't be surprised if it's true.

    It kinda sucks that if these allegations are proven false in the future the damage is done and there’s no way to undo it. Jay-z’s only bright side is that he gets to say he’s not a pediphile.
    Also the plaintiff is now saying maybe it happened 3 years later than originally stated. So she was 16, not 13. Makes a big difference.

Also news spoke to father of victim - who victim said she called to pick her up …. The dad said he didn’t remember her calling and didn’t remember driving the 5 hours to pick her up and told news that he thinks that’s something he would remember. - the woman then said she agreed she had “inconsistent” parts of her story - apparently the woman as autism and a brain injury.
