i am analysing and designing & detailing g+1 building with staircase house on the terrace. Is meshing important ? Are there any alternative for meshing ? is showing staircase necessary ? or we any alternate method for staircase ? or can we make ramp instead of staircase ?
Hey the video is really nice.. Can you please tell me while assigning properties you assigned the columns 0.3x0.4 then you selected beams in which many columns also were selected again and assigned 0.3x0.25. So those columns property will get changed again or not? and why you did not use the command beams parallel to x-axis while selecting the second time.. Thank you.
if you assigned a property in a section then if you again assigned a new property, new property will be the main peoperty ! It is upto you what you use while you assigning a section !
Is the load transferred by different slabs on beams not considered while designing the structure? And why are slabs and floors not added to the structure? And the weight of walls is not considered as well ?Please help...
Why did you apply separate load for beams ? like for top floor beams you applied -15 kn load while for bottom floor beams you applied -17 KN. please explain
Assign of column as 0.3 x 0.4 is made a extra projection in end of the wall. Because the brick length is 0.25m(with mortor ).So we adopt width of column is 0.25m is suitable one. As i said is correct?
Hi sir, at 16:40 in video the property of the columns are also changed to the property of the beams and the same is happening to me. please help me to get out of it as i got stuck here.
I think all the viewers will benefit a lot if we include designing of all things like, staircase, ground and roof water tank, columns, beams, slabs, foundation etc and include report, all loads dead, live, wind, earthquake, combination loads etc. in one tutorial and show it on you tube
Some times column & beam section is same, such as 250x250mm Particularly there is no section for only beam or column its upto you what property goes with whose !
superb and great tutorial on staad pro . I have one doubt sir,u assigned for columns as R1 and while assigning R2 for beams u selected Column also which is already assigned with R1
Sir, as shown in this video (from 19:23min onward), when I clicked on the SELFWEIGHT Y-1 and tried to click "assign to view", - it could not be performed as it was inactive. Please help.
I got 4 errors while I did what you did above, and also when I was practicing I got 1 warning for some other design. How do I find out those error and warnings and clear them out?
For wall width is 250mm & for parapet wall width is 125 mm. you can change the wall load for STAAD Pro by - Unit weight of brick (19.2) X Thickness of the wall X Height of the wall (Floor height - beam height )
i made a mistake. instead of space i selected plane and in analysis it showed me this error. So do i have to create the whole structure from scratch or there is other way?
Sir,how did you gave 17 kn/m for member force can u please explain with values instead of formula..? The force 17kn/m which you are given is for outerwall right?
Hi sir.its just recently that i'm watching your tutorial and its great video tutorial. But can you explain sir why you put floor loads in dead and live load? Thanks in advance!
Actually i have a doubt, that in your video while applying the sizes of beam u selected all the portions and the column sizes are also changed into beam size .., Pls clarify....!

sir could you plz give explanation about stair case loading. and how to give stair loads on building example we give loads on beams. and make a tutorial on cantilive portions of building tutorial sir plzz.
Your main wall load is -17 Kn great!!! Where have you studied from and which college?? Shame on u!! You are simply misguiding to everyone who are newbies
Thank you, this is the best STAAD tutorial on youtube.
:)
very well explained. thank you sir for this amazing course. please continue to other advanced courses for staad pro. thank u
Keep learning ! :) There is lot more information in other videos !

Sir is it same if we make slab as plate mesh or Directly apply floor load ...during slab design
Assign of column as 0.3 x 0.4 is made a extra projection in end of the wall. Because the brick length is 0.25m(with mortor ).So we adopt width of column is 0.25m is suitable one. As i said is correct?

Sir instead of floor load can we use plate load? What is the difference between the 2?
Just to be clear didn't you miss one node. The diagram of the plan used to make design differs from the design finally made.
I have plan ,can you design all members
I think all the viewers will benefit a lot if we include designing of all things like, staircase, ground and roof water tank, columns, beams, slabs, foundation etc and include report, all loads dead, live, wind, earthquake, combination loads etc. in one tutorial and show it on you tube
Helpful tutorial indeed!
Thank you !
What is the difference between area loads floor load and plate loads?
Sir you didn't follow the exact autocad plan in the staad pro design right? Please compare the two again
ty, its so helpful. if possible can u do like this for grid slab too....ty in advance.
16:26 you assinged the beam property on columns also ....use select beam prallel to X and Y next time
Some times column & beam section is same, such as 250x250mm
Particularly there is no section for only beam or column its upto you what property goes with whose !
HTD That's ryt but when you get the report it will be difficult to read coz it'll show all the colums and beams as beam no.'s ....
Sir, In dead load case : Dead load & self weight of members are not same?
Self weight is dead load, i just show them both thats it ! In your case just add self weight !
@@htd6286 Thanks for your kind reply.
Sir staircase to bnayi hi nahi aapne

If assign to view don't work select the whole structure, make sure you are selecting the beam cursor !
why you didn't consider udl load reaction coming from staircase in the stair beams?
There are no udl load on stair beam ! the slabs carry the udl !
HTD But the slab is supported on the beams, so reaction would be there on the beams

I got 4 errors while I did what you did above, and also when I was practicing I got 1 warning for some other design. How do I find out those error and warnings and clear them out?
Lets do it again ! Read the warning what did they say, if this helps then ok if not then tell me along with the file !
you have taken full width or half width of external wall in cad
For wall width is 250mm & for parapet wall width is 125 mm. you can change the wall load for STAAD Pro by - Unit weight of brick (19.2) X Thickness of the wall X Height of the wall (Floor height - beam height )
don't forget to subscribe ! :)
Thank you sir. Will you please explain how did u get the value of load which was assigned?
Dead Load = Unit weight of brick (19.2) X Thickness of the wall X Height of the wall (Floor height - beam height )
Thankyou sir
But when the shape of the structure is very unsymmetrical giving y range 0 to whatever height does not work. How to fix this issue
Y range does not depend of the shape of structure ! Its depend on the height !
i made a mistake. instead of space i selected plane and in analysis it showed me this error. So do i have to create the whole structure from scratch or there is other way?
No, go to staad editter then delete that portion and save it.

You can either put the dead load by adding self weight or you can calculate the load manually and put the load !
