The part of that performance while Marco is singing, watch his left hand on the neck of his base and also look at his eyes. He NEVER ONCE looks at his hand position which makes his performance that much more impressive.
Every song that features him is always a treat. Don't get me wrong, Floor is easily just as good, but we get to hear her voice in every song, so getting him in one feels special.

Yeah, agree with all these; plenty of variety from Floor across those three and plenty of Marco too in Romanticide and Song of Myself, while Storytime is another good example of Floor's diction skills.

Hi! Great analysis of her vocals and the look on your face on Marko's first note... 😆👍 I can't help but point out how deep Floor goes into expressing what she feels onstage when singing. She says she's highly sensitive so expression comes easier to her than it would a non-sensitive person. If it was just in her voice it would be one thing, but her body language, sudden moves or lack there of, little gestures that give you no other choice than to connect with the sound of her voice and the story she's telling. A great example of that is during the intro, when it looks like her hand is going up to grab the mic, but then shows reluctance in doing so and eventually holds back. 🥰🥰 The other example is the same gesture but on "give in, give in, for a touch..." right before the second chorus. She goes to grab the mic, but then shows a reluctance to touch it. And of course there's "Storytime" where all that body language just hooks you and drags you into that wonderful story that's being told. 🥰👍 Thank you so much for the video, reaction and comments. Stay safe and stay blessed. 😊❤🤘🤘

I do love listening to the more technical reviews rather than the " oh my God, this is so awesome!" reactions. I mean, yea, we know it is awesome, but the why and how are also very important parts as to it being awesome. Thank you!
Great analysis! I figured you'd get a kick out of Floor's vocal arrangement of this song with Nightwish. Floor's philosophical approach to singing is to train to maximize her available range of pitch, timbre, dynamic, and vocal effects (cry, grit, etc.) to give her more tools to choose from to convey the emotions and stories of each of the songs she performs. If you want to check out her performing something wildly different to this which showcases a whole other set of vocal skills she has, I'd recommend checking her accoustic performance of How's The Heart, off Nightwish's newest album: th-cam.com/video/yYtkPpFYzOo/w-d-xo.html
I imagine she can still do the belted version in the original key. However, it wouldn't have suited the vibe she was going for in that particular show. Yes, there were still "heavy" elements in that performance. But in general, she was going for something a bit lighter and more delicate for the show overall.
Floor has said that this song was the most challenging Nightwish song to sing with the key change going up at the end. Maybe that's why she dropped the key down a bit.
That ending chorus is breathtakingly powerful. The ending modulates up 3 half steps from G minor to B♭ minor. Stunning! You chose the version that cuts off very quickly. That is the end of the song, but it is so quick it leaves you hanging. Great commentary on vocal technique Jennifer. Well done.

Essential live Marko: High Hopes (NW) Phantom of the Opera (NW) Tides (Tarot, his metal band) And I think his recent guest vocal on Waltari's Below Zero remake is one of his best studio vocals ever.
If you want to see Marco take center stage (and I don't see it recommended in other comments), check out The Islander (live at Tampere)! Fantastic insights into the music!
Viewer #72,000 ... interesting, I know I watched this before, but it's like watching an odometer roll over to a major milestone. ... Right after the key change, it was so fun to watch your expression... you knew where the notes were going, and what it would take to hold it all together... so much belting afoot.... ... and there you are, literally holding the bridge of your nose down so it wouldn't lift off under the the pressure of forward placement in the lifted section. All good fun. Thanks so much for viewing this.
Hello, begining to watch your reaction, hope it's as good as the others you've done, keep doing them, this and all their other songs are great no matter what you choose, take care!
Your Welcome! So nice your response, so great your analysis, yep I've heard this song thousands of times but it always brings me smiles to see other people appreciate them..
One of the deepest regrets of Marko finally deciding he's had enough of the music industry is that we no longer get that powerful beauty of his voice and Floor's dancing on the blades edge :(
Marko sure can sustain! One suggestion for hearing the original Nightwish singer, Tarja, is 'The Phantom of the Opera' (official live).... Added bonus, Marko as the Phantom simply going off! Sing! Sing! Sing, my angellllllll.
If you listen carefully, the last two are "scream my angel" But yeah, he did go off. Tarja was on fire that night. She's a tough lady to give that magnificent performance and get fired after.
Thank you for the excellent reaction. I enjoy your insights and knowledge, as too many reactions are simply someone saying, "Oh, that was cool!" And may I say that you yourself are really quite charming and engaging? You are and I love it. More Nightwish would be wonderful. Till next time!
Hi new to your channel. I saw your take on Floor and Henk doing Phantom. May I suggest you check out Nightwish doing Phantom with their first singer Tarja? You’ll get to see Marco shine too!!! Love what you’re doing!!
Hi Jennifer, it was really nice you reacted to this Ever Dream version too. Very often we compare different versions with each other. It's ok, I do that also. But at the same time I think it's good us to remember, the time has past from the Wacken 2013 concert. The concert setups are different and of course we get older every year. As Floor said in one interview, she isn't a machine. But it doesn't matter which concert I listen to her, she is a great singer in every aspect you can think of. I really respect her as a singer and also as a person on the stage.
I love your reactions with Nightwish. You would have to do a reaction of Floor Jansen, when he was in his previous band "Revamp", in the song "Disdain Live at Graspop (2010)", you would be amazed with what he is capable of doing with his voice.
There are a lot of vocal coach reactors out there, but you DO add something a bit different...and I really like your style. Sub'd. P.S. Now you really do know Everdream. LOL I'll bet you can see why Floor says it's her most challenging one to sing, especially live!
We've probably listened to more than 200 reactions to this performance and we've decided we like yours best. Loved your reaction and analysis where you included constant surprise and joy in your facial expressions. We really love it when the reactors have as much fun as we do in these performances. Great job. Stay safe.
Love the reactions & dissection of the vocal arts!, honestly as previously mentioned the whole concert is worth watching, it is a lesson on stamina! this song is early on in the concert, gohst love score is nearer the end and honestly you cannot tell!
Hey Jenn, I forgot to add a specific song for you to react to. Marko sings "Islander" during their Tempere performance, in this one you get to see/hear a little more of his fabulous voice. He is going to be sorely missed.

Nightwish on Hellfest 2022 Epic Show !!!!
Never get bored to see your face amazed by Marco 😅😅😅
I enjoy it 🤭🤭🤭
Marco and Floor together, peak Nightwish
Floor is an Angel and your reactions are absolutely Awesome !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you want to see Marco take center stage (and I don't see it recommended in other comments), check out The Islander (live at Tampere)!
Fantastic insights into the music!
My first reaction video of Floor Jansen and Nightwish that feature a " Quuuuuaaaacccck" ! :)
OMG, I love your work!
Thanks!
That is some of the best live drumming. That i have ever heard.
Hello, begining to watch your reaction, hope it's as good as the others you've done, keep doing them, this and all their other songs are great no matter what you choose, take care!
Thank you! 😁
Your Welcome! So nice your response, so great your analysis, yep I've heard this song thousands of times but it always brings me smiles to see other people appreciate them..
Floor is amazing , and so are you!
Your reaction once Marco sang was wholesome
For some contrasts, and more Marko/Floor power, check out Romanticide, Ghost River, and Yours is an Empty Hope (Wembley). Please!
This song is so kicking ass, then Marko opens his mouth and it's like a nuclear bomb detonation, it just takes it to another whole level.
Thank you for the excellent reaction. I enjoy your insights and knowledge, as too many reactions are simply someone saying, "Oh, that was cool!" And may I say that you yourself are really quite charming and engaging? You are and I love it. More Nightwish would be wonderful. Till next time!
Thank you 😊
Two tracks you might like to see Marco's range - Ave Marila (duet with Floor) and The Islander (Nightwish live at Tampere).
Definitely! And she’s looking after her voice and doing what’s best for it! Love both versions 😊
Ah thank you 😊 Hahha love it! Definitely, the key change - everything!
We've probably listened to more than 200 reactions to this performance and we've decided we like yours best. Loved your reaction and analysis where you included constant surprise and joy in your facial expressions. We really love it when the reactors have as much fun as we do in these performances. Great job. Stay safe.
Ah thank you so much!
For me it's the most vocally extreme song from Floor. That steady climbing at the end drives me crazy.
From the early discography Ever Dream and Storytime are the hardest. Shoemaker is the hardest though.
Love the reactions & dissection of the vocal arts!, honestly as previously mentioned the whole concert is worth watching, it is a lesson on stamina! this song is early on in the concert, gohst love score is nearer the end and honestly you cannot tell!
Definitely cannot tell! So impressive!
Hey Jenn, I forgot to add a specific song for you to react to. Marko sings "Islander" during their Tempere performance, in this one you get to see/hear a little more of his fabulous voice. He is going to be sorely missed.
Hey Jennifer hope you are having an great and awesome day. Much ❤ as always
All good here! Thanks 😊
I have seen a lot of people react to this song. Your reaction is brilliant. I am a drummer (retired) but I learned a lot today.
Ah thank you so much!
Just one thing, Marko plays base in the band. Emppu is the guitar player :)
Nightwish Army UK popping in for a great analysis. Maybe time to analyse floors growls next.
Best nightwish song EVER!!
It's definitely Storytime next! You will love it!
