Beautiful, playing music connects the left brain and right brain. Yoga syncs up the left side body to the right side body. Living in union 💓🙏🏽thank you Adriene!!
Today is a very important milestone because as of Oct 7th, 2020 I’ve done every single one of your calendar practices and meditations so that makes 2 years of total consistency. I’ll fall behind a few practices from time to time but I’ll always make it back up on the days where I can get multiple sessions in. I’ve never been this consistent with anything healthy so for that I am forever grateful of you, Adriene!
MOTIVATE ⚛ | March 16, 2023 | I love this practice! I've been avoiding my walks because, winter. But today I finally pushed through and went for a walk before coming on to the mat for this one. Now I'm feeling so stretched out and zen! 🙏
My boobs and belly get in the way when I perform 'one of your favourite yoga moves' but who cares? For the first time ever I put my hand on my heart AND my belly and I didn't wince. I am finally accepting all bits of my body. Thank you Adrienne.
I am happy you have cultivated more love for your body. Just know that they by no means get in the way, they are a part of you, and thus a part of the pose. I hope you were still able to enjoy the pose, even if the shape is different than another's.
I really appreciate the title, as it clearly displays the intention of the practice (and makes it easier to find for those who seek something of this nature). I would also like to add that everyone is a musician, regardless of whether you have yet been able to invest in a musical instrument yet or not. Our breath, our pneuma, is constantly investing inwards and outwards a plethora of vibrations and frequencies. By tuning into it, we not only become more receptive to music as a whole, but become more receptive to the music within us.
Thank you Adriene. I have been practicing your daily calendars since January 2021. I am a violist and can happily say I'm pain free due to always being aware of my core to support my instrument. Your videos have helped me get through these terribly difficult Covid days, keeping me strong, focused, aware, and calm. Thanks for this lovely practice to vitalize places that don't always get tended to.
hi fellow violist! i've never thought about supporting my viola through engaging my core.. i'll definitely have it in mind in tomorrow's practice session :) thank you for this comment!
ATTRACT ⚡ | August 12, 2024 | This practice never fails to leave me feeling so relaxed, I almost feel asleep in Savasana. My body is a bit sore from the last couple of practices on the calendar so the stretches felt great today! 🙏
This felt to good on my wrists and forearms. I train aerial & pole dance several times a week & this felt really nice - not to mention Adrienne's favourite pose between boat, always feels super good on the back & neck 😊 have a good day all!
Motivate day 16, March 2023. I needed this today after a stressful day. I didn't manage to completely switch off, but enjoyed the gentle stretches. Play, day 7. October 2022. Practicing in a hotel room in a Brussels. Perfect start before a day of meeting. Lovely gentle stretches and some good core work too.
Oct 7, 2022 05:11 Intention : play to the music within I feel rejuvenated with this session after a tiring day yesterday, and for this I am thankful. Thank you Adriene See you tomorrow beautiful souls Namaste🙏
Adriene, I just wanted to let you know (in case you didn't already) that you are a genius! You've established a great series of yoga videos for anyone from beginner to expert, and everything in between. You've laid out these exercises so they give the body exactly what it needs and you know exactly what to say and when to say it. However, I think the best part is your amazing personality, humour, and energy. You're graceful, friendly, and funny; not to mention just the perfect amount of silly. You keep the energy positive while focusing on both mind and body, and you're the one who taught me how important that is. Thank you for changing my life.
I'm a cellist and this was my first day back to yoga after way too long of dealing with back, shoulder, and wrist pain. What great timing for me and most likely many others. Thank you Adriene! You always help my day!
Hello! Could you do a video of Yoga for singers? There are many opera singers that recommend to practice yoga for breath support for a good singing technique 😊
I'd love one to release the larynx - trapezius, tongue, jaw, scalenes... Something maybe to do before a lesson or audition? OMG 10 minute yoga for centering before an audition would be amazing
Blessed Beloved Beauties! Motivate Day - 15 provided internal freshness and an overall agility to my body. I am so surprised I have not been introduced to this session prior to today. I hope it was as beneficial to others as it was for me. Best wishes, everyone! 🦋♥️🦋
Mostly standing asanas today. Good wrist love. No down dogs, no tabletop. Good arm streaches. Not too advanced. Relaxing little ditty!❤ Intuit aug 2023
Although I’m not a musician, I do a lot of knitting, this was good for stiff fingers, arms and shoulders. Love to all those with a song in your heart ❤(and knitting) 🧶 yogis out there 🙏
Thank you Adrienne, thank you Benji. Thank you everyone who showed up . Today is Saturday, August 12th 2023 m@5:44 am . Everyone, have a wonderful day, namaste 🧘🏼♀️🙏🏻❤️❤️❤️🐶🐾🐾🐾☀️🌻🌺🪻🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🐞💞🌈💞🌈💞💕💕💕 24:37
I am a classical singer and I've been training with your videos for a few years already . It 's been helping me a lot , I am improved so much such as techniques, mindcontrols ! Thank you Adriene 👍🏻❤️
I know nothing about music except that I enjoy it and respect those with the talent to create it and play it. But I really got alot out of this practice which made me super aware of my body and it's strength from the feet up to the head and everything between (esp. the arms).
Ok, I'm here primarily due the practice itself: the movements, positions, breathing techniques and even meditation. Also, in addition to it all, I am here because I believe that in each one of us there is a kind of „inner musician“, which makes us lighter, laid-back and at ease with ourselves… And I love having this sort of awareness. 🎶🥰🎶 Thank you so much for such an awesome session. ❤️ Namaste. 🙏🏻
It's been a strange two weeks, but no matter what video comes up on the calendar, even if it's "for" someone else, always serves perfectly. Thank you for being a constant in this crazy world ✨
This practice is a super upper body workout with a tiny bit of core, really beneficial, not just for musicians but for all of us especially like me who spends far too much time on my pc but also create artwork. So some mindful slow stretching felt super yummy 😊 it was quite different to our usual sequences, such fun. Day 22 of CREATE tomorrow, 45 mins, senior yogis unite 😂. 🧘🏼♀️🧘🏻♀️🙏💞
March Motivate Day16:03:23✅👍🏾, we have passed the half mark, yayy!🙌🏾....this is just what I needed tonight....so soothing and playfully relaxing after such a tiring day..Ty Adriene and this amazing community.🙏🏾💙🤩🌱🌱💚Spring is here!
As an engineering student, I spend ridiculous amounts of time hunched over a desk, pencil in hand. I often experience cramps and pain in my hands, fingers, shoulders, and arms after a long day of studying. This felt amaaazing... a perfect practice for Musicians and Mathematicians alike! Thank you!
Adriene, I'd LOVE a video of yoga for singers! Singing involves so much muscular flexibility and control in certain parts of the body, specific posture, mindfulness and breath control. Yoga for singers could be amazing for this. Thanks for making yoga accessible 💖
Thank you Adriene. I am a vocalist and vocal teacher. I am teaching many hours a day and play the piano - So it was great to come down and especially work on shoulders and on the mind! ;)
August 2021 Cultivate Day 26 Did this after an upper body strength workout. It felt so good on the sore muscles of upper back, chest and shoulders. Nice and gentle flow with some new Asanas; loosened up the body and lightened my mood. Win win! Thank you for the practice Adriene. Namaste 🙏
I am a violinist, and all the hand and shoulder work is wonderful. I have a concert today, so this practice seemed very appropriate. Thank you Adriene!
there was some thoughts, some of them are toxic, but i get through this practice. thank you Adriene, and cheers to all of us that showed up and practice today 🙌💐
An interesting practice for day 26 cultivate! I liked the free style and I think I felt more of energy circlation rather than any muscle move which was nice! Feel quite fresh to start the day! Namaste❤
So marvelous to see some sequences on the calendar that I have not practiced in a while. So ready for work now. Well, it is Friday anyhow. 😝😊 Play day 7. 733 days in a row.
I play the electric guitar, 🎸 and will definitely be doing this practice again when I feel tense and scrunchie , it's a good practice to relieve all that tension in the muscles. Great video Adriene. 🧡 Namaste! 🙏
As a professional singer, I would absolutely love to have a practice not only for myself but for my voice students to use for exploring and centering breath. The entire singing practice is breath-based, so learning to expand the back, abdominal breath space, and obviously the rib cage (i.e. expanding the use of the “apoggio”) would be something I think a lot of people could benefit from! I am so unbelievably grateful for your practices! The crocodile breath vastly increased my own vocal practice today so I thank you so very much!
My legs were shaking during those wide leg squats. I didn't think I could hold it for that long, but I kept to it! Thank you Adriene for always encouraging us!
I swear you always upload what I need! I'm a musician and I'm struggling right now to find inspiration and motivation. This is perfect. Thank you Adriene ❤️✨🙏
Seriously, that's exactly my thought two seconds ago. Thank you so much for the upload, Adriene! Too few people know how to approach the special needs of musicians.
This was a lovely practices. I am a bit lost in life right now, so it is hard for me to focus, but I felt a lot of comfort doing this. Thank you! Day 67 in a row
On Day 13 of OPEN, I found this practice very interesting and quite different in many ways to our usual sequences. I am more of an artist 👩🏼🎨 than a musician, but I could see the relevance of concentrating on upper body, arms and hands and this is good for me too, helping me through some tough everyday tasks. My yoga with you Adriene makes me strong in body and mind too. I really enjoyed this totally achievable practice and attention to the little details you give us along the way are essential .... SO good 😊 see you tomorrow on the mat 🧘🏼♀️🧘🏻♀️🙏💞
love yoga with Adriene. I am not an actor or musician but completed both practices and feel they are very helpful. Married to a musician and will encourage him to try.
Thank you Adrienne. That's an awesome practice with so much extra awareness on different parts of the body and movements. I love when it feels different than the usual sequence of yoga postures and there is that extra special touch 🙏
PLAY 🪁 | October 7, 2022 | This is such a yummy practice and it's been a while since it was on the calendar so I really appreciated it. I feel likeI can always use more arm and shoulder stretches as I spend most of my days working on my laptop. On top of the great upper body stretches this really connected the whole body, from the feet to the core and our heart centre. Beautiful! 🙏🧘♀🎼
I used to overlook these videos and redo the ones I enjoyed just because I thought, "well I'm not a musician or I'm not a runner". Though through your email I found inspired to try them and I'm enjoying every moment of them. They are for EVERYONE and trying them is helping my practice grow so much more
I'm not a musician but it's good for everyone anyway. ;) The body and mind become light. It's like I can feel the wind on my face. Like a breath of fresh air, cool and clean. A sensation of well-being goes through my spirit for an incomparable moment of regeneration. A formidable therapeutic practice. Namaste Adriene.
10.7 🧘🏿♂️ Seventh Day of PLAY! Today was so fun. I could really feel the energy coursing through my veins. I feel more ready to take on the day ahead Also it's already a week! Time has flown so fast, I'm proud of myself for making the time to attend each day. It has helped so much.
Just finished this practice for the second time in two days. After the great experience I had yesterday, I had to share with my mom. I'm a student and she is a business owner and it has been a stressful month for us both. This was some much needed relaxation and neck relief as well as time together. Thank you Adriene!
This practice was EVERYTHING I needed - physically and mentally; even enjoyed an unexpected emotional release in 'one of your favorite yoga moves'. Thank you, Adriene!💗
Adriene, that is awesome ! How did you know this is perfect for my arm strain recently acquired ! Following the calendar, this is just what I needed and is going straight into my ‘Go To’ list. This has eased my pain and one of your therapeutic sequences for upper body, arms and neck. No robots ! I don’t know why but I was thinking of violinists as I was doing this 😂😊👍 ! See you tomorrow on the mat, loving your yoga Adriene 💕💕💕 🙏🧘🏼♀️🧘🏻♀️
Dashworthy Yoga with Heather You are so sweet! I am planning on uploading progress videos with my practices starting later on this week! Feel free to check back if you'd like in the next couple of days! :)
I have done this three days in a row and it feels AMAZING. It could also be titled "Yoga for Dental Hygienists". I have shared it with all of the dental yogis in my life. Thank you so much Adriene.
I was initially enticed by this practice because it is for musicians. I thoroughly enjoyed the emphasis on the neck and shoulders in this practice, which is a much needed relief after long performances. 😊 🎻 🧘🏽♀️
Thank you Adriene that was a beautiful yoga practice. I am practicing with a cold at the moment, I didn't know if I'd be able to do the whole video , bit I'm pleased to say I did do the whole video. And I feel a bit better for it , still have a cold but feel like there's more energy in my body now , and like my body can fight the cold off a bit better now . Thank you again so much Adriene .🧡 see you tomorrow for another beautiful yoga practice. Namaste ! 🙏
This is a great practice for people who sew, too. I spent many hours yesterday hand sewing the binding on a small quilt and this softened the ache in my right shoulder. (Also when I am hand quilting or binding every now and again I think "remember to breathe". That is such a simple and helpful phrase:) Thank you!
A nice relaxing practice to end my Friday and start the weekend. I also shared it with my musician son- hope he enjoys it too. Have a great weekend everyone!
Thank you Adriene, this is exactly what I needed as a pianist! After practicing for a few hours my body felt tight and sore but this practice made me feel great again.
Today, I have a job interview for a role organising music events. I love that this came up today on the Motivate calendar! Wish me luck. Thank you Adriene x
Was recently diagnosed with RA. Any pressure on my wrists causes extreme pain so I have been modifying the crap out of practices lately (and trying not to beat myself up about it) Love that I don't have to modify this one! Thank you for all you do.
PLAY day 7!!! This one is perfect because I feel like it was totally made for me, as I am a violinist and I have an orchestra concert this weekend!! About to roll out my mat and immerse myself in this practice, I can't wait :)
Beautiful, playing music connects the left brain and right brain. Yoga syncs up the left side body to the right side body. Living in union 💓🙏🏽thank you Adriene!!
YES! I think about this all the time too. So right on Noor. Love.
Yoga is how I stay in shape but you need a solid diet plan too. I use this our2weekdiet.blogspot.com
Maybe that's why the universe is inviting me to learn the uke. :)
What music or songs do you recommend that connect the left and right brain?
I think this would also be good for people who work at a computer all day. My arms and shoulders definitely needed those stretches.
Agreed! 👍🏻😊🙏
Yes! I was just going to post that. I stand behind my desk all day typing, etc, so this was great!
I TOTALLY agree! That is me a well. The stretches are EVERYTHING!!❤❤

See you tomorrow on the mat, loving your yoga Adriene 💕💕💕 🙏🧘🏼♀️🧘🏻♀️
Thanks Adriene!
And thanks for hear our comments!
You are great! Namaste from Costa Rica!
Thank you :D Of course. Namaste my friend!
As a practicing cellist, I cannot thank you enough! It's so easy to forget to stretch after long practice days.
Amazing. I'd love to hear you play!
Dashworthy Yoga with Heather You are so sweet! I am planning on uploading progress videos with my practices starting later on this week! Feel free to check back if you'd like in the next couple of days! :)
Day 16 complete I did this one without my sister today and I liked it. 03/16/2023
Great relaxing video, thanks Adriene.
Attract Day 12 ✅️ Thank you! ❤

I'm a massage therapist and this was great! :)
Thank you for showing love to us musicians.
Thank you Adriene, namaste xx
As always, feeling more serene and centered to live my day.
Tnx adriene for this relaxing yoga, no rush, no pressure just relaxation
Today, I have a job interview for a role organising music events. I love that this came up today on the Motivate calendar! Wish me luck. Thank you Adriene x
I hope your interview goes wonderfully and you learn much about each other
@@karin5502 Thank you!!
I hope your day went well.
thank you 💛
Was recently diagnosed with RA. Any pressure on my wrists causes extreme pain so I have been modifying the crap out of practices lately (and trying not to beat myself up about it) Love that I don't have to modify this one! Thank you for all you do.
Perfect Stacy! I will keep that in mind for future practices too! xo Take care!
Attract Day 12. Namaste 🙏🏽❤️💚💛🙏🏽
PLAY day 7!!! This one is perfect because I feel like it was totally made for me, as I am a violinist and I have an orchestra concert this weekend!! About to roll out my mat and immerse myself in this practice, I can't wait :)
Finished this practice with a smile, namaste.
What a great relaxing practice to start this Monday!
Play Day 7 🙏
💛 to all the musicians that bring joy to our world 🌍✌️
