    I can tell you right now that I have never liked travel channels because of how fake they feel. I 100% watch you for your insight and honesty and I tell everyone I know that's interested in travel to watch your channel. You're getting there, man.

    I love how Connor's travel vlog is not cookie cutter. There's a genuine attempt to get lost in a foreign land and find your way in or out. In fact, he embraces this anxiety inducing and fearful feat. for example, when he is venting about how unnerving it is to be in China because of all the barriers, his slightly quirky jokes exude the anxiety he is feeling. Cheers to 2025, and to SBA creating quality content.

    I’ll keep it short and sweet. You are funny and entertaining as hell. Never watched a travel channel before ( besides Anthony Bourdain) and after the first video I watched of yours I was immediately hooked. I love how nothing feels forced and its real experiences with funny jokes/commentary and on top of that surprisingly educational . I’m a fan and look forward to everything you put out.

    We're the same age - I traveled and made videos in my 20s. Had to work + dig deeper with on a personal level (also did an ayahuasca retreat like yourself) to see what I wanted out of life. Currently sitting in my Airbnb on the start of my 30 day solo euro trip. You are one of the channels I watch consistently, very relatable and inspirational. Trying to do the video thing myself but getting past the fear of it all can be tough. Anyways, love what you do. Continue to be and believe in yourself...cool to see the channel's direction and progression.

    Dude honestly your chill videos in japan drinking interacting with random people, seeing the night life, are some of my favorite. Don’t second guess making content for that stuff.

    Seeing the real encounters in Japan instead of the glamours one-shots, so many TH-camrs do is awesome. Planning a Japan trip in the future because of it. Keep it 100 OG.

    Bonin Islands video was great. There is another island group called the Sakishima Islands. Near Taiwan, so you could do that country as well. A travel I always wanted to do is Japan's inland sea. There are a lot smaller islands and, of course, the port cities. You seem to enjoy ships and your fellow voyagers, it's a good way to cover both travel and accommodation expense, and they don't chisel you with over priced food and drink.
    Don't be a character. Be yourself. And understand the word serendipity. Your memorable experiences could not have been planned. In fact, over planning might have caused you miss them.

  • @shmif
    @shmif 2 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

    Another thing, don’t stress about “interesting” content. Sure other people will rely on that making content, but YOU as a person is what makes wherever you travel so interesting. That’s what separates you, so lean into that.

    I think what makes your channel unique is you're not afraid to offend people without being disrespectful. People need to be able to describe things as they are and not be inauthentic about it.

    Connor, your vids are always interesting because you make things feel very human. Wherever you are in the world, you can interact with someone, and you show how we are all so similar without really having that as your goal for filming. It's hard to explain, but it always feels authentic. And I love seeing a fellow American traverse and interact with the world, and see how the world views us.
    Also, you're not politically correct which just makes everything more relatable.
    My fiancé and I love you and are always saying "hello my friend!" because of you.

    I didn’t become a fan of your channel because of the big trip from Ireland to Japan, it’s a cool premise, but what really made me a fan was watching your interactions with locals, and seeing the non tourist parts of cities.

  • @luminous9777
    @luminous9777 วันที่ผ่านมา

    You had mentioned that you were supper invegerated by the early year videos you made to japan, but watching them and how you managed to keep your interactions with locals raw and unique experiences that may not be super draw dropping single handedly made traveling to Japan a goal of mine between last year and this year. I am now planning to go this august because of your videos so thank you, (also seeing your growth in being comftorable as well as your level of understanding japanese with locals was pretty amazing to see across all the videos)

    Although I started watching from your mega trip, what’s been entertaining about them is your perspective, the people you meet, and the things you do. I think the new direction will be good and I’ll be clicking on all the videos that pop up! Also I do like the abandoned building videos haha.

    The subtitles you put in are hilarious lmao. I think your humor is a unique aspect of your channel that is a big draw, at least for me. As you said, chichijima vid was great. I think it’s sweet seeing the old WW2 stuff and it seems you enjoy it as well. I bet it’d be tough to put together, but an Iwo Jima vid would be awesome. Not sure if the Japanese government allows that without explicit permission though. Keep it up!

  • @itsnickfrench

    Lfg dude. Hyped to see what's next. Honestly you're just as entertaining wherever you are man. Some of my favorite vids you've done were the ones where you sneak into football games. I totally understand not wanting to make stuff like that now that you're older lol. But just saying that's example of a cool concept for a vid that isn't in a super unique location.

    Even if you don't feel like the content you film isn't worthy of uploading to your main channel, we all would still absolutely love to watch your videos. Just seeing other countries and listening to your nonsense is all we want! Please feel free to just dump your 'boring less worthy content' on this channel.
    Towards the end of this vid, you sound as if you're TOO humble to where you downplay and cast doubt on your content, which is also why we love you so much. You're such a rare breed of a TH-camr who isn't trying to clickbait us with a girls ass/t!ts on every video like Kurt Caz, and you never sugarcoat anything to make it sound overly amazing, when it's the opposite. All you gotta do is keep being yourself! Your personality shines far above all the other travel vloggers and with patience, I feel very confident you'll end up with millions of subs before you know it! You got your TH-cam approved checkmark fast AF!! Hell, there's guys with waaay more subs than you who don't even have the checkmark, so you are absolutely on the right path, just keep going forward!

Ideas don’t have to be perfect I know I tune into all of them every week purely for the way you keep raw and authentic even if that may mean you may receive flack or backlash (like in Vietnam, or India) but you being able to face that and stay true to your personality is something that is rare especially on TH-cam

    first off, love these videos. Great to have some unfiltered insight into your thoughts on the travel. Second, to be honest what we all really like to see, unfortunately, is the tough stuff. That’s why Myanmar and India did so well. It would be really neat to see you do Africa and explore Egypt and Morocco and go even more south. Amazing sights to see while also being a challenge and something new. 😊

    Connor i would watch you and sarah vibe out in uninteresting easy places too. Obviously the challenging or unusual stuff is exciting but dont put so much pressure on “bangers only.” Even if it’s a side channel for a week of easy travel in Europe, I’d watch.
    Just to drive the point home, Peter Santanello has built so much of his channel around showing people the most hidden or mundane places and lifestyles. Half the time he is in no danger whatsoever and never does clickbait girl’s butts thumbnails or anything. You guys approach it differently but I like both of you a ton for the same core reason, you guys show what a place and its people are really like, with little to no agenda or judgment going in.

Butan videos were also really interesting, there's lot of great stuff in those videos. There's no need to force something interesting to happen, as they you would be getting closer to 'fake stuff' type of content that many youtubers tend to do.

    this might sound random, but never change your thumbnails, i feel like your thumbnails and the simple way you do them are something people gravitate towards and connect with rather than being these overly edited clickbait thumbnails and videos other travel youtubers do. They're authentic and simple, yet captivating enough for their purpose and I think built into your channel and image. Something I like about your channel is that watching you videos almost makes me feel like i'm there experiencing it, or could be rather than these polished documentary styled videos or clickbait inauthentic content.

The travel part isn’t even that important to me, I think it’s your personality that keeps me engaged. In fact, the “getting drunk in XY” videos felt a little too repetitive after a while, just to leave some constructive feedback. Don’t know if I’m the only one who feels that way though. I haven’t really seen a TH-camr go and talk about the wealth disparity of India and would love to see someone document it. People are so shocked at the fact Elon is so wealthy, but if you look at indias richest person he has 100 billion USD when people are making 10 dollars a month wages. And it’s funny because those hate comments of “check out the nice places” even when you go to billionaires row it’s still extremely dirty right outside the rich persons house.

    Binge watched most of your videos over the holidays, really loving them. You’re like Anthony Bourdain’s significantly dumber and less eloquent younger brother, it’s fantastic stuff.

      Anthony overexaggerated stuff to sound sophisticated for the producers, so really, you can just say his realer and less snobby younger brother, man. I mean, look how he died, overexaggerating sucha simple thing we all do 😅
