The audio was remastered (I couldn't remove all the noises because the original audio was apparently taken from a tape). Also, I speeded up the song a little bit and put some reverbs to make it sound closer to the version from "Pornography Deluxe" album.
The pictures are from the Pornography Tour (May-June/1982).

I want this played at my funeral. A beautiful masterpiece never recorded in the studio. Such a shame

I think the fact it was never “fixed” in studio is actually what gives this song its mythical status.
@@anthonyrippa686 It's track 11 on the bonus disc of the deluxe edition of Pornography that came out in 2005. Every track on the B-side of the Concert cassette are spread across the bonus discs up to and including The Top.
@jetglo355 but I think it's just the first few minutes? I'm glad I don't understand the lyrics because the yearning in his voice just goes right to my soul. It's like the soul of some dead young man calling out from the underworld to his mourning girlfriend in a dream after she cried herself to sleep.
My favorite version of this song! Thank you. This gig was the very first time I saw the Cure as an oily little teenager and have never found another band I love as much as the Cure since that night!
My second favorite. I’ve been looking for it on archives and such. Very similar to this one but it has something about a cupboard and burning eyes and my tainted mouth. I assume it was played very near to this one. It was a cutoff bootleg on napster about 7-8mins long.

Do you know why is the song in the deluxe album cut?
Pretty sure it was just so they could fit some other songs on the album. I don't think they should have cut it, this is an amazing song that deserves to be entirely heard.
The tape seems a little bit sped up. Bob's voice is a little bit high.
