Sometimes seeing people make mistakes is helpful. There are so many settings to remember that it’s good to see the gotchas. Disabling the original from render is one I made recently. I’ve seen countless videos of yours. You’re always in my feed and always popping up when I am searching for answers. Thank you!

Thank you very much. You explain it very clearly even for those who do not speak English at all.

Great video as always Steven - is there a way of exporting the new volume as a VDB file to take into another program ?

    0:45 I'm using v2.80 (I can't update it because it's for a class), and I can't find the volume option.

I made a "Volume to Mesh" from an OpenVDB animation. Can I export it as a Alembic or another format?

not sure tbh, you may need to export out an object sequence ... ill take a look tonight

Why does my Open VDB export like density data!? I can't convert my Volumes to mesh because Volume data lacks Density. I have followed numerous volume-to-mesh tutorials. and none address this. But I hit the same roadblock. Volume lacks density.
    I am using Blender 3.3

I couldn't get this to work in cycles so flipped to EeVee - worked. Flipped back to Cycles - worked. Weird...

I want to convert a 3D voronoi texture volume to a mesh.

Can we use it to make explosions. Like model an explosion with metaballs and then convert to mesh and then to bolume

I don't see any reason why you could not

I think this would work nice with animations to create "that cloud looks like ..." stuff :D
