I want learn more more more , you have the best way of understanding in the way of learning ,you don't teach how to cook the fish ,you teaching how to catch the fish it was very helpful for my studies and very fun to do..love you lot ducky 3d brother
I really like that so many of your tutorials are simple eevee tutorials, it really makes things so much easier to grasp without being too demanding hardware wise.
I've been looking at Eevee ground fog tutorials for a couple of days. Learned some things along the way, but this is the one that actually worked as it's presented. I can continue forward with my project. Thank you. Not the first lesson I've gotten from you, either. Thanks again for some very solid videos.
Thank you, great quick tutorial! Tiny hint: To keep the fog on the ground only, use multiply instead of mix in the mixRGB node when combining the Noise Texture and ColorRamp..
As a beginner in the use of nodes, I found this tutorial of you adding each node one at a time very helpful. At the same time you kept it brief, which I find important too. Thanks a lot for sharing this.
Node were very scary for me. Then i I found your channel and now node are my friends and now I even know to use substance designer. And making my on materials .. Thanks dude
Not an easy thing to set up this properly and still you managed to explain it quickly, very summed up and without missing a step. Great as Always. Great Scene and render setup. Thanks for sharing :)
Many thanks, all the other so called "Tutorials" all turned out missing a step or two. Yours straight to what I needed (and Most people id care to guess) i was missing - the mix rgb thankyou.already subbed.
I'm learning so much thanks to your tutorials, thank you. I currently use Adobe programs, but in the future I want to explore the 3d world more than I do now. Thanks a lot✌️
Fantastic! You make it so easy! Last time I created a scene like that I took a lot of time and the result was far away from yours. Great tutorial! Thank you.
I really enjoy these how to make stuff in blender series you have been doing. I love the vj loops and it has been incredibly inspiring but this is freaking awesome man!!
Nowadays you can't find the mixRGB so you have to choose "Mix" and then set color. Btw amazing video, after 10 videos this is the only one which worksxDDD THANKS MATE
Very cool, this was a frustration for me when I was creating a "Sword in the Stone" scene. May need to revisit and implement this solution as it seems cleaner than what I did originally.
I have a suggestion. Plug a Principled BDSF shader into the color of the Principled Volume and adjust the density of the emitter cube. You'll still get the fog but have other effects and lighting
Great tutorial, I wanted to create an effect of a glowing plastic transparent LEGO element with afterglow around it and this is exactly what I needed. Thank you, amazing video, thumb up.
at 3:10 when you zoomed out the fog disappeared, I'm trying to create a scene where the camera is outside of it and the volumetric cube keeps disappearing also! Everything I've searched up says it has to do with the clipping but I've increased both the viewport and the camera clipping. any help would be appreciated !
Hi! Thank you for making these tutorials. I started 2 days ago with blender because of these. Can you maybe make like a beginners tutorial? In which you explain the basic stuff so people like me can follow these video's without a problem. Thanks in advance :)
Hi! IF YOUR FOG DISAPPEAR when you rotate -90 in Y I manged to work out in the Mapping node LOCATION X put 1.0 or more and your fog will appear. (For some reson it rotates and offset it?)
I still don't understand the difference between the 'color' and 'fac' output of a node. People seem to connect either one of them in 'fac' of some other node(like color ramp). It would be a great help if someone would explain it. P.S. great video!
May not be 100% accurate but as far as I know the fac output is a single value which gets rendered as white/black while the color node gives an RGB output Practically there's really not that much of a difference that I notice
I believe the fac output is a value of 0-1 (as a float value?), while the color output can be a different form of value like RGB (3 numbers or a list of 3 numbers). When you plug in a color ramp, I assume it's also RGB but I'm not sure. That can make a difference from a math pov and thus can look different. I'm not really sure about that tho!
Okay the Fac output gives the greyscale/ b/w image whiles the color output gives the RGB image. And plugging the color output into a color ramp converts the RGB to B/W
As much as I know, Color is RGB output whereas, Fav is BW, and in those Black means 0 and White means 1, which can be used as factors. Idk if RGB values emulate the factors as well
Watching your videos made me learn that anything can be solved by the ColorRamp. Having trouble with your marriage? Damn, throw a colorramp at it and see how it works.
I'm new to blender.. i never knew it existed.. im like one those ppl whose like.. omg... now i can FINALLY put my ideas into something... that they just don't die with me; you know? lol... Not to be all melancholic.. but THANK YOU for sharing, and especially... telling us the shortcuts+keys cuz other content creators either speedrun tutorials which is REALLY fn annoying.. or they don't tell us the shortcut key.. (some even go low to like hold out untul the end to drop the bomb that the entire 30-mins you just watched; the source files are now hostage in ma patreon - lmao im like... r u fn serious...) so yeah... dont follow that metric please :P So merci buckets! =D SUBBED!!
Help! The cube is blocking the light of my HDRI! How do I make the cube transparent without removing the fog? Whenever I delete a face, it deletes the fog as well. :(
I want learn more more more , you have the best way of understanding in the way of learning ,you don't teach how to cook the fish ,you teaching how to catch the fish it was very helpful for my studies and very fun to do..love you lot ducky 3d brother
LAK i’m glad to hear that
I'd been struggling to get the turbulent effect and had almost given up when I came across your video. This is brilliant and simple. Thank you.
I really like that so many of your tutorials are simple eevee tutorials, it really makes things so much easier to grasp without being too demanding hardware wise.
You should be able to use this in a two scene view layers such that you can comp the eevee fog over a cycle's rendered main.
I've been looking at Eevee ground fog tutorials for a couple of days. Learned some things along the way, but this is the one that actually worked as it's presented. I can continue forward with my project. Thank you. Not the first lesson I've gotten from you, either. Thanks again for some very solid videos.

This was by far the easiest and most practical Fog Material setup i've seen on TH-cam, thank you!
Always a pleasure to watch someone do something they know so well. You make it look so easy :).
Gues what bro, I am doing you tutorial this time, Abstract Eevee Animation 😀, You are awesome. ❤️
Just love you work.
Hamza Amjad thank you
Can you make a tutorial for a similar scene with textured trees and ground plants?
yes please, please ducky pls.
Yes please.
that would be so epic
Yes, Ducky
pls
If your fog is only at the edges - increase limits on the Volumetrics tab - Great tutorial - just a tip for anyone with same issue i had.
right click and drag over the nodes you want to mix, while holding control and shift.
Thank you for an as usual simple and effective tutorial..
I'm watching this today again. Feels like groundfog day.
Haha
Just added this element into the Apollo spacecraft/abstract render. Love learning from your videos man!
Will be using this on a scene that i'm doing rn. wasn't going to have fog but it will look kinda better now. thank you!
The intro SFX made me turn my head to the right speaker so fast that I almost broke my neck. Great vid btw!
WHAT?? This is extremely efficient with Cycles as well. Thank you!
you make this shit so fun for beginners!! the best way for a beginner to learn and gain their confidence before trying advanced stuff
At the end of the day , something popped up that let me learn something. Thanks allot .
PRASTHANAM Gaming i’m glad you learned something
Thank you! I’ve watched a few tutorials on fog that didn’t work for me and I really like this method!
Ducky your tutorials are DA BEST
thank you, i've tried so many tutorials and none of them looked good this is the best one
Node were very scary for me. Then i I found your channel and now node are my friends and now I even know to use substance designer. And making my on materials .. Thanks dude
ULTROID yeah man, nodes are super fun when you get used to them
Not an easy thing to set up this properly and still you managed to explain it quickly, very summed up and without missing a step. Great as Always. Great Scene and render setup. Thanks for sharing :)

This turorial was FUC***NG GREAT!!!!!....Thanks a lot for make it easier, effective and SUPER FAST. Bravo
Yesss I can finally finish my own scene😅I've been looking for something like this, thank you💯
I'm learning so much thanks to your tutorials, thank you. I currently use Adobe programs, but in the future I want to explore the 3d world more than I do now. Thanks a lot✌️

love your videos they help kickstart my blender experience and now thanks to you i'm fairly good at it
Why are your tutorials such a beautiful sight to see in my inbox.
Wow, you make something so effective, very simple. Good job.
Good tutorial bro
Awesome first tutorial in 2.90
Very cool, this was a frustration for me when I was creating a "Sword in the Stone" scene. May need to revisit and implement this solution as it seems cleaner than what I did originally.
I'am so glad to find your channel. You're so cool and helpful. Thank you a lot man
Love your tutorials my man! You are my inspiration.
Before i did it only with volume scatter, this way brings much more dynamic, thanks!
This tutorial was a lifesaver. Thanks so much!
awesome, quick n dirty love it... if you add 0.100 to density you have a fog w a foggier lower part... great stuff
Ducky 3D: Makes a tutorial
CGMatter: *Usless*
Thanks man, this tutorial is awesome! Would love to see this fog animated, u got yourself a new subscriber!
I have a suggestion. Plug a Principled BDSF shader into the color of the Principled Volume and adjust the density of the emitter cube. You'll still get the fog but have other effects and lighting

Fantastic! This was so incredibly 'nick of time' helpful. It really saved my ass, with a deadline looming.
Your tutorials are always so easy to understand and follow. Thank you so much🙏🙏
YamyTheWeird i’m glad you enjoyed them, thank you
You never fail to impress.
Thanks man, your videos are always helpful and spot on!
Its worth pointing out that adding volumetric fog will increase render times a lot, no way to avoid it
Clear, concise and great results. Thanks!
i have an empty outline of box... but i cant add nodes, because i have to add nodes to the active tree... ?
at 3:10 when you zoomed out the fog disappeared, I'm trying to create a scene where the camera is outside of it and the volumetric cube keeps disappearing also! this was so incredibly helpful! thanks so much :D I can finally finish my school project that's due in 2 hours o.o
I wanted to make fog and u just uploaded it🤩
Ateeb Khan sweet!
Finally a good fog tutorial ill be using this with my nightmare before christmas scene
Hi! Thank you for making these tutorials. I started 2 days ago with blender because of these.

Really learned a lot. ❤️ Ducky 3d ❤️❤️❤️🔥🔥
Been looking for a good way to do fog. Thanks!
EitherOr3 awesome
Keep doing such inspirational work I like your each video

thanks!!!!!!!!
Thank you so much! I was just trying to replicate the fog fade off from an image i saw online. This really helped!
Nice video my dude
Keep up the good work 💚
I needed it, thanks Ducky :D
Thanks a ton!! This was exactly what I was looking for my new project!!

excellent. living without ground fog wasn't great
Watching your videos made me learn that anything can be solved by the ColorRamp.
Having trouble with your marriage? Damn, throw a colorramp at it and see how it works.
Brilliant! Thank you so much for sharing this approach. It's exactly what I needed for my scene :)
Ducky 3D... nice vid... I can definitely foresee some other applications for the info shared as well...
Very, very helpful. Thanks so much.
This one helped a bunch recently was working on something like this
Love your work man thanks a ton !!!
Hey there! I want my fog to be black but it simply cannot emit black color, how do I do this then? Thanks in advance!
I needed this 5 hours ago
Oops
@@TheDucky3D Don't stress it XD
Wow. I didn't even realize Blender 2.9 was out!
very helpful thank you!

Everything went wrong as soon as I plugged in the gradient texture... for no reason. I followed you to the T. My typical, Tutorial experience. 🙄
Fantastic tutorial. Thank you.
Thanks ducky
I'm a common man.. i see ducky 3d i click
that was brilliant tutorial.
great tutorial bruh, thanks
Key was in setting density to zero, thanks man
Hi ducky I am your huge fan
Yep, definately learned something. And now please: How can I animate this?
You can animate the Scale of the Noise texture and also you can animate the position of the Mapping who will make moving the fog :-)
is it possible to give the fog a color?
Awesome. New sup. Thanks for the content! ugh, so much to learn!!
When I rotate the mapping 90 degrees it fills up the entire box so I have to move it along the x and position it so that its takes up hald the box.
how come your cube looks like an empty?
can i make a video of fog rolling in? can you make such a tutorial, like an English town or Seattle, you know where we'd expect fog to roll in.
Help! The cube is blocking the light of my HDRI! How do I make the cube transparent without removing the fog? Whenever I delete a face, it deletes the fog as well. :(
Amazing brother, thank you!
teacher! cube is empty cube? your tutorial is very good for me thank you soo much!! >.
how do you make an empty box
how is the box transparent because its not working for me
Thank youu for this video this helped me a lot :)
Very nice tutorial!! I guess this can be used to create clouds, including animated clouds!
perfect thank you so much!!!!!!!!!!!
