You do not need to slip the clutch on every shift like that man! You are going to burn your clutch out prematurely riding like that if you haven't already. You only need to slip the clutch to take off from a stop, you can actually just let off the throttle for a split second and upshifts without using the clutch, it's smoother and easier in the trans/chain/sprockets
I also just bought one but I already have some experience with groms, I specifically bought mine as a fun little get to work and back type deal and if your behind a car you can use them to your advantage to get up to 76 or so mine’s completely stock and I hit 76 on the way home from using a cars wind draft
I’m pretty sure your speed is accurate, it’s when you change the wheel size, that that should make a difference because your speedometer is in the wheel.
@@Matt_Yniguez OK I just learned something new, I was informed that on the Honda Gramz, that your speed sensor is actually in the crank case or something like that, so it’s not the front wheel. So apparently you have to purchase some kind of plug-in play system to accommodate for change in gear ratio.
My gps tracker on my phone clocked stock sprockets and everything all stock to be 1-2 mph less than what the speedo says. With 14t front sprocket at 45mph it reads 5 mph less and at 56 it reads 6 mph less. I'm assuming at 70 you're probably 7mph slower than what the speedo says
If I was you, I’d get rid of that chimera intake and go with a man in the box and take it so much cleaner luck doesn’t have that wire that could short out a lot of people put it on those newer models check it out
Do you want the baffles removed? I have a Vance and Hines exhaust on my grom to be heard from people, so you don’t get run over wear earplugs in your helmet if it’s too loud, that helps
Pretty cool video. I'm topping out at 70mph with my 2021 boom vader clone 4 speed. I did add pwk power jet carburetor Z40 cam and springs/ Ported and grooved the head / Hand made header tube to high performance canister with a 17t. You got a sweet bike there.
Nice! It almost looks like you’re out in Arizona. I’m waiting to install my intake, and waiting on my ECU to arrive in the mail. I’m gonna run it with just intake, exhaust, and ECU then see where I’m at. And I imagine I’ll be going for that camshaft next. Good video.
Hi there, I'm looking at getting my ecu tuned for my 2023 grom I've got a kemimoto exhaust and I'm planning on installing a k&n ha-1222 air filter. Curious to know how your doing!
@@Dragonstorm1557GAMING mine is doing great. Tune ECU is worth it. And the intake and exhaust. I end up putting a 39 tooth rear sprocket on, now it lets my RPMs hit almost 9000, TopSpeed has increased and so has to torque
@Matt_Yniguez bro I know I recognized Santa fe and the 138 I wasn't trippen! I hope you still have your grom! I just got mine slowly doing mods. But wanna get people together for cruising up here.
Question if I don’t want to waste to much or do it much to my grom Do you think the Yoshimura exhaust rs9-t, dhm performance ecu flash, and chimera air intake is enough? If so would I need to do anything to the grom by adding these parts ?
They’re all easy jobs and will get you having plenty of fun. Honestly if you’re going to do those, get the cam right away and the flash that goes with it. It’s not super hard and it was the biggest gain I noticed on mine.
all I want to do to mine is ecu flash, exhaust, intake and sprockets. Is there anything wrong with that? Do I have to do all the internals to make it safe or am I good with previously stated mods?
I have the same cam and flash with intake and exhaust as well as the 14t and I’m still around 105 miles per gallon and I’m 230lbs. I was surprised. Thought it would at least drop to 90
Might wanna recheck that valve lash brother. It’s sounding a little chattery on the vid.

my grom topped out at 78 mph 9200 rpm in 5th downhill all stock. went to 13/41 sprockets and top out at 72
what do sprockets do?
@@Rayan-rw3gt they are the final drive. like on a bicycle different sized sprockets (gears) change the amount of power rotations to wheel rotations.
Stock I went 81 and bounced 5th down a hill. My friend too
Kinda sounds like your clutch is slipping a bit when you are shifting on those high speed straights.
You change gear a little strange 😅 it like you don't let the throttle off a slip the clutch
I love it man I got the same exact bike. Definitely didn't buy it for speed but I wish I could go 70 at times. I top out about 64 stock
64 is still fast for a grom!
I’m at 62mph on flat ground with my SF Grom. I weigh 230 though so that’s probably why.

can you do a parts list w/ links

Always 😊
Stock can be off 4-5 at 60. Dropping a tooth your probably less 6/7 at 60
I'm looking forward to doing pretty much the same thing.

I'm planning on getting a grom. Can't decide sf or new one. Ps nice ep3. Got a black one as well. K24 turbo. Just got her running the other day
I'd say new. They're cheap even for a brand new bike! And nice car!

@@Matt_Yniguez thanks for the reply bro!
I know it’s late but u need stiffer clutch springs
yes he does need that
I dont think the speed is displayed exactly anymore when inserting the 14t sprocket, so your reading is off bro
Was that the only 4 mods you put to reach 70mph ?
In my neighborhood. Looks like you're riding right around the corner from me hit me up if you want to do a project?
What license plate bracket do you have i ju s t bought the same 12 bar ?
@anthonymoy4471 i can't remember if it's TST Industries or if it came with the Toce exhaust
@Matt_Yniguez is it ajustable or is it fixed in place it looks like the tst high mount or ajustable
@anthonymoy4471 it's not adjustable
What was your price for all that?
Nice Mat
Can you install that exhaust without that wheelie bar ?
Yes
What exhaust are you running man?
Toce
Hey grom folks, I have stage 1 flash, for exhaust and intake, and putting a dhm cam,.should it be fine to ride till I get some else?
Do they ship to Europe too or usa only??

recheck your valve spec like philly said shes tickin real loud
You probably going 58 14t sprocket is off by 7 or 8 mph unless you have speedo healer
Don't you mean 68* then?
I had the 14 t, and I was over 7 or 8 mph on my gps

In this video, I was using the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2

How i can bye ecu

are these mods allowed in your country?
This is America we can do what we want
valves r loose mate
Leave your change abit longer lol

why would i made my grom not stock just to gain 4mph? I get 70mph on the highway totally stock except a exhaust
Can't stand the increased volume when I'm trying to pay attention to the install. Dislike from me, buddy.
Thanks buddy
I hit 74 stock
